The question is, when you read a word that you have never heard before how do you know which one to use?

Excellent teacher 'th'' is my hard work
Great idea making this video even though we still haven't known when the th is gonna be pronouced like a real T sound or a light T sound alike a F sound
it's so hard, but excellent video, help me, thank you so much. 😀👍
Thanks
Hi Vanessa, I like you class, you are very fun and cool.
great.
Hello, thanks for sharing. The pronunciation of the word "with" is voiced or unvoiced "th" ? Please let me know. Thanks in advance!
Great. I can see that this sound it's represented in dictionary in standard IPA sound ðɛm (them), θæŋk (thank)
Makasih buat videonya ya sis... Good job
It's a very clear explanation with great example. Thx vanessa!
Hear the aired th sound sample sentence in 0.5x speed for better understanding it helped me out alot...
Очень интересные и эмоциональные выпуски. Вопрос как отличить want от won't в устной речи? Спасибо вам.
грамматически т.е судя по ближайшим словам:
после «want» всегда будет глагол с частицей «to». Например : I want TO sing/to dance/to find etc.
После «won’t» не используется «to». Например : I won’t sing/dance/fight etc.
Ещё можете понять по интонации. Отрицание всегда выделяют сильнее. В паре «WON’T sing» люди в основном делают ударение на первом слове т.к они «НЕ будут» что-то делать.
А в паре «want to SING» выделяют интонационно третье слово, т.к. важно что именно человек хочет делать.
please more example with mixed different TH's
Th is the hardest part for me, it works well for me.
I think I learned now😁
Hi Vanessa, hmm can you tell me, if I understood good? So my question is...Both pronuntiations are correctly?
can you please work with S, St, Sh, Sm
Hi Vanessa! I have a lot of problems with the voiced s. We don't have that phoneme in Swedish so i can barely hear you say it e.g I can't hear the voiced s or z in the word "Words". Do you have any practial tips about hearing the differences?
Hi im from indonesia...do u know vanessa this is so difficult ..but i love this ...
How to indentify when it must sound voiced or aired?
thanks for using a piece of paper before I thought if we pronounce voiced th a piece of paper moves but I was mistaken
That's really helpful, thanks. I teach in China and I've noticed a lot of the students say 's' instead of 'th'
how do you connect these sounds with others when you speak wuickly?
Hello wanessa, Edson, Brasil !!!!!
Great ;)
as we don't have TH in Portuguese , should I say a T with the tongue in the middle of the teeth??besides, I cant feel anything in my ths! voice or voiceless! ;-(
first comment! :) Hi Vanessa! I'm from Brazil!
Rodrigo Staley Eu sigo a Vanessa a muito tempo, também já comentei que sou do Brasil, perguntei de onde ela é mas ela não responde a gente, eu vou parar de seguir la!
Thank you Vanessa! Is the "th" in the word: "with"- voiced or unvoiced?
unvoiced
Very useful explanation! But there’s a problem.. how i could know the words that I’m supposed to use the ‘voiced TH’ sound? Should i have a list?
it is very interesting to me too. Perhaps we have to see transcription. Or maybe we must remember this wards.
very useful video❤❤❤❤❤....I just have a problem when I pronounce some word include th sound and come after that word another word with s I pronounce s like th😂😂😢what should I do ?
If I do a [D] sound instead the voiced TH and a [T] instead the unvoiced TH, will english speakers understand me? I cant do these sounds.
The Irish neither. They use d and a t.
Right :)
My congratulations my deare
hello ~~ Vanessa! I became a fan of your english teaching class but i'm a foreign so I'd like to ask you to have an official subtitles not ' auto-generated subtitles ' if you do that for foreigners, i bet you will get more follewers and that will help us to understand english better and to practice listening skills Thanks ^-------------------------^*
Hi Seung yeol, that's a great idea! I think that it would help a lot of people. ^^
Speak English With Vanessa Hi Vanessa, maybe you could do that kind of "community" subtitles that the subscribers help to translate. (I don't know exactly the name)
yaah subtitle will be very helpful
How we could know when to say Air TH and Voiced TH
great 🇰🇼🇰🇼🇰🇼🇰🇼🇰🇼🇰🇼🇰🇼
My boyfriend can't do this no matter how he tries and he needs to know it for Beginner English because he was learning the days of the week and Thursday is one of then. And he can't say three at all. He said "Ich mag 'drei' besser." He likes the German word for it better. He cracks me up.
That's not how I learned TH as a native English speaker. I had to take speech lessons, though. It was embarrassing.
Vanessa say hi! :)
🌹🌹🌹
what is difference words go went and gone
But I am confused about which sound we can use for which word 😩 please teacher reply...?
😗😗😗😗
Sorry....
but where we've to use voiced and unvoiced 'th' sound ...
Is English American or British?
American
Hi Vanessa. I am Domingos from Brazil. You are a great teacher, but you speak too fast for us non native speakers.
Here is your student from Brazil Aécio. Where is the baby?
Coming soon... tomorrow! :D
Thank you. All the best.
I actually hear a lot of people pronouncing the word there, or them with 'd' sound. Then, they have pronounciation mistakes, right?
You speak lots. Please stop
