Thank you so much for this video. I bought an Aladdin Blue Flame Series 32 heater last year. The details you show and your calm, easy, descriptions make learning the subtleties of the fire understandable. Beautiful restoration btw!
Hi Thanks for the video I have a no 32 I had the same problem with the wick fortunately my one was not as damaged as yours and I only needed to paint the frame work thanks for the tip on the hinge & also the carriage raiser look forward to more video’s
Aladdin makes lamps also, maybe you should show them instead of the regular kerosene lamp you show at the end of your video. They use mantles and are several times brighter than regular lamps.
Powder coating.....the only way forward on gear like this....I have a couple of the Aladdin 203s myself...am at the start of a full refurb on both...nice tips...thanks...

That's a great idea, I should compare the difference in light power. I will keep my eye out for an Aladdin lamp.

What kind of powder do you use? It'd have to be some special hi-temp kind right?
If you get yourself a tripod to set up some of these camera shots, you'll have both hands free to do the work.
I do need better gear
I have one of these, still new in box... Dad bought it, never used it... Was about to toss it. Probably won't now.
Its a nice find.
