No one comes close to this organization of masters. This is what it sounded like to Pachelbel and this group went the extra miles to give us the opportunity to experience what he did. Hats off to the production staff, too, as always!
One of the most difficult things to do in music, I think, is to take such a well-known piece and make it special, to bring it alive and make it joyful to its listeners. You have achieved that so well here. Thank you for sharing this inspiring performance!
I’m an old professor, who loves classical, sometimes challenging music,,, but you guys hit this easy tune so expressively…I will allow myself to be amazed, thank you
YOU ARE THE BESTEST 🥰 it's so over played but my god, you put life into the most over played pieces making them look like a new release ! Pachelble is proud 😊
I'm really glad this is in video. You can see how the violinists coordinate/communicate...how the 2nd violinist looks to the 1st, and then to the 3rd. Now only wish the violinists in my ensemble doesn't try to outpace each other.
Beauty, performance excellence, all professionally sound, as is the great devotion of these committed performers, So much to admire, to love,so, thanks and Bravo.
Oh my, truly magnificent. My absolute favourite piece of classical music and you did it justice in such a beautiful performance. Thank you so much for posting this and a hearty thanks to each member of this performance. So enjoyable.
Must be the most moving 4 1/2 min. of music ever written...tired of hearing so many "updated" versions! Inevitable I suppose with such a popular piece. This is the original and best and beautifully performed.
Pretty...still i feel the older video, shades better than this brilliant one.. much appreciation for your efforts. The vibrancy of the older one is really remarkable...this one is a mellowed one.
I've been listening to Canon from time to time since 10 years ago, and I was always disappointed that it didn't have ultra-high-quality sound, but I'm really glad that you uploaded a new performance video like this. Every time I listen to music, I feel so peaceful and happy. Thank you so so much for giving me so much joy and happiness. -Korean subscribers-
unbelievable and amazing rendition that tops the previous best version of this which obviously was the classic version with Cynthia from way back when :) So great to see and hear this with modern AV-equipment!
Everyone who ever listened to the magnificent Pachelbel’s Canon in D; 😢😮😅😊🎉❤😳😭🙂😃🙃🥺🥲😃😵😌!!! But what about the musicians who actually play this masterpiece? How do they hold it together from beginning to end!? We thank you all! 🥰
Thank you for this wonderful performance of an old (and often overused) staple! Looking very much forward to the gigue, this piece's usually overlooked sibling :)
Most versions I've heard are played at a quicker tempo which always makes it sound too frenetic to me. This is the right tempo in my opinion and beautifully played, too.🙂
Hi Cynthia Miller Freivogel! We were waiting a long time for a new piece of your art. Please do it more often. And please don't forget to give us the Partitas and Sonatas of JS Bach.
That's a great version, as all your pieces! Any chance to get a CD of your performances somewhere? I didn't find any, but maybe I'm searching with the wrong words.
Well, there is no viola in the original, so I guess having a viola part would be OK but not necessary....the main feature of the music is that it is a three part round or canon for three equal voices.
Finally a good version of this piece, I thought it wasn't possible. Now it truly sounds like the piece that it should be
The performance they did 15 years ago is amazing too.
Lags but has potential
There are many good versions of this piece. For me, the tempo is rushed here.
@@Folkstone1957 baroque is supposed to be fast
De plena satisfacción
Almost 16 years after the first video of Canon, still with Hanneke and David. That's dedication!
정말 감동의 연주입니다ㅜㅜ
and Cynthia Freivogel too!

Tx!
It's so wonderful to see Cynthia Freivogel back again, she is always such a marvel to listen to!
She is!
Yes, I will never forget the video of her playing the largo from Bach double violin Concerto. The best rendition!
The best version of Pachelbel canon I have ever heard in my life.
Ensamble excellent, sound full of emotions. Cynthia Freivogel is unique.

Thanks for listening
This performance is hypnotic, it is so beautifully played.
One of the most beautiful canon i heard so far.

40 or so years ago a very good friend had this piece in her wedding.
Still beautiful.
Kudos to this group. 😊 ❤
YOU ARE THE BESTEST 🥰 it's so over played but my god, you put life into the most over played pieces making them look like a new release ! Pachelble is proud 😊
:)
Once again Voices of Music produces the best ever version of a piece. Loved every second of it.
I'm really glad this is in video. You can see how the violinists coordinate/communicate...how the 2nd violinist looks to the 1st, and then to the 3rd. Now only wish the violinists in my ensemble doesn't try to outpace each other.
This has such a lightness and joy to it. A delight to listen to.

I got that tingling feeling on my cheekbones... I always get it when listening to something magnificent.
What a stunning performance. The best I've heard to date. Thank you.

God bless these lovely ladies. (And the gentleman with the lute) Johann Pachabel would be so proud of them.
I want to thumbs-up this video every time I watch it, but I can only do it once, on the very first time.
One of the most beautiful pieces of music ever written. Exquisite performance.

Oh I never thought that any performance would beat the one you did 16 years ago but this one does!
THANK YOU for this version of this music and explanation of the instruments used and the techniques.

Also, how about Henry Purcell's "Three Parts on a Ground"?
Gigue and ground on the way.
