The electric boat is nice but who can afford it @ that price? No, thank you. It wouldn't have enough power for my family's needs.
We go out around 11:30 am, pull the kids in the tube, ski, and other water toys, come in about 5:00 pm, eat & back out to night fish for bass & come in about 5:00 am. It wouldn't have enough time to charge & Missouri Wildlife isn't going to have fast chargers @ceach campsites to charge your $250,000.00 electric boat. Need to research your options on this one Dan. So with solar panels you would always come back next weekend to a fully charged boat. Plus the solar panels could keep the cameras sensors and space heaters powered up so while it's sitting for weeks at a time or months at a time during winter you could always keep and eye and monitor your boat and never have to worry about the batteries getting to low or dying or anything freezing. And after every winter it would always be fully charged. Like wtf are you guys even talking about? Obviously solar panels are a great idea. And some boats even have canopies that fold out with solar panels in them expanding the solar panel surface area by 200%. This boat would be perfect for that and even without the folding canopies it's still a good idea even if it takes weeks to charge as I just proved and explained earlier.

Feel like this surf wave isnt quite as nice as what Natique, Mastercraft, and Malibu produce. Still an impressive boat to say the least

Honestly, electric boats are only good for people who: 1.) live on the water
2.)Have a shore station that they can put a charger on
3.) Never want to trailer or take their boat to other locations
4.) only want to go wakeboard/ wake surf a couple of hours
Imagine trailering this thing, with the trailer it probably weighs 11-12k lbs. You need a serious truck.
It's a great fit for a certain demographic. But there is no way that electric boats will become common (even 5% of boats sold) any time soon.

Did I miss what the name of the boat manufacturer is? Time to look up more info....And then wait a few generations while they pop into flames at the dock. (I hope not and wish both seller and buyers nothing but luck). Large battery banks do seem to need mucho R&D into safety still though...
