Actually they put the hands on the clear trees to keep the hole shape so the holes in the hands don’t shrink and risk breaking the wrist peg. When you have 12 Mafex figures you learn something 😂😂

In regards to the smaller logo and the lack of a back logo, its actually comic accurate to modern renditions of scarlet spider in the comics. I believe they based the suit design more on the Ben Reilly: Scarlet Spider solo series (where they messed up the character of Ben Reilly )and i believe within issue 5 when he is fighting Kane as the Scarlet Spider, it shows his back with a lack of a back logo. But i do agree that the belt was inaccurate tho 😂 hopefully they do a reissue with the correct belt
they used tom lyle face, you can see his art on the box, so they should used the original logo, the smaller spider was on his hoodie with a tummy pouch, but then again, the big logo was on the tattered hoodie. i prefer that one anyway
@@bladerj Yeah that's true, but I think they were trying to use a modern rendition of the latest Scarlet Spider costume (hence the hoodie logo being different) with retro renditions of the old costume (hence the different head sculpts). An example of this, is that you could see this with the Mafex Nightwings mask being blue instead of the black one, even though it's supposed to be hush Night Wing, it shows a modern flare with Nightwings mask being the blue one. Tbh I understand why it looks like this though. Since it's the comic version of the figure, it technically is not artist specific and its more of what Scarlet Spider looks currently, which does suck I do agree. I do wish and prefer it was the big spider logo (here's to hoping they release a reissue with an accurate Scarlet Spider hoodie and belt). But yeah, overall, the only thing that's not accurate technically was the belt in my opinion since all his costumes had the silver buckel with the red dot.
@@blankusername1753 not ALL versions...mcfarlene didnt do it. maybe they used that one as reference, and yes it was just a cover, but......its there. i noticed with venom its a mix of bagley body and face from when he frist drew him, and eric larsen spider logo,with mcfarlene reveal laugh....and you can see all3 artists rendition in the cover comic panels. i find odd they didnt inlclude comic panels in the back one like they did the others
@@bladerj Sorry I'm not sure what point you're trying to covey so do forgive me if I misunderstand but, yeah I do agree that the figures aren't really artist specific. Like I said the figure isn't based off of any singular artist considering the different head sculpts however, I do wanna say that the hoodie on the figure is accurate to one of the recent Ben Reilly: Scarlet Spider comic runs. Hence the absence of the back logo since it was a stolen cosplayer costume within the narrative of the comic run. Which is accurate to that specific comic run. And like I said, I feel the only inaccurate portion of the figure is the belt. I do understand that the logo should have been bigger and on both sides, however, mafex seems to pull inspiration from all different artists when creating a figure to release. But due to this, some of the figures could come off as in accurate, this may be due to the artist tending to neglect features of a costume all the time or is inconsistent with the design of the suit😂😂😂😂 and 😂😂. An example is the lack of a black dot on the top of the palm of the Black Suit Spider-Man. Sometimes it's there, sometimes it isn't 😂😂😂😂😂. But yeah overall I do wanna at least defend that the hoodie is accurate just not retro accurate if you get what I mean. And the only inaccuracy to the figure is the belt 😂😂😂 not that I'm complaining, I forgot that the belt had a silver buckle with a red dot 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
@@bladerjmaking a correction on my part, after looking up McFarlanes art for Scarlet Spider, he does indeed not have the red circle silver buckle as you mentioned. Sorry my bad I didn't understand what you were trying to say 😂😂😂😂😂 but yeah technically this figure is accurate but just uses various inspirations from different artist to make this figures costume

I'm glad that MAFEX made a blue hoodie Scarlet Spider figure because he looks cool with the head sculpts and this is definitely the best Scarlet Spider from Medicom or the best version in general, I don't have him, but he is so cool too.

You are the first person to talk about the belt missing the red button.
I think Medicom mixed a lot of different Scarlet Spider designs to make this figure because there's actually a belt that looks like that in one of the covers by Todd McFarlane, which is funny because they also included the McFarlane Symbiote Spidey headsculpt for this guy but in red, lol.
I wish the hoodie had the bigger spider and the belt had the button, but oh well, it's still a really nice figure.

Great review! Looks like a great figure- just like you said its a shame they didnt include a Ben Reilly head like they had in the previous Sensational Spider-Man figure
I suppose as long as you have have one, you could swap it, but obviously it would be missing the neck piece. Really mad at myself for not getting that one.

I do only have the Marvel Legends Ben Reilly Sensational Spider-Man figure from Hasbro but hopefully they can do an updated, good, articulated blue hoodie Scarlet Spider for Legends because I think he could use some updates.
Im predicting a new Marvel Legends Scarlet Spider next year to 1, tie into the Spider-Verse movie, and 2, to complete the Ben Reilly, Black Costume, and Renew Your Vows set
Another great video, did you have problems with squeaking leg joints ? I’ve tried soap but still sounds squeaky and has some resistance
To be honest I don't recall whether the legs squeaked or not.
Seems like you got the variant with the thicker logo, mine was very thin so thin its kinda worn in spots

I am working on building my tiny collection and i can afford to buy Scarlet Spider but no one else, shoul i get him or buy some marvel legends and get more figures for the same price?
If you're on a tight budget, I would say get more figures for the price. As for Scarlet Spider, I predict within a year Hasbro will give us a new one on an updated body that would be much better and much more affordable.

Seen a lot of online commentary about this Scarlet Spidey not being correct.
It is correct. To the Scarlet Spider solo series around 2018. In that book he had a different outfit that had a visceral fan reaction, so Marvel put him back into the suit we love, however, in story he took it from a cosplayer. That's why it's not accurate to the clone saga suit. Were they being pass agg in editorial? Probably.
Yes, it is a bummer that they didn't just make the Bagley Clone Saga suit with a Ben head, but for whatever they were sourcing, they did get it correct.

Hey, I appreciate them! The boxes are great, the articulation is smooth and intuitive, and in terms of accessories, they can't be beat. I just feel that because they are so high caliber (and expensive), they should be held to a higher standard, so I am a bit more critical of them than I would be of, say, a $20 DC Multiverse. So short answer no, sorry lol I'm keeping them ha but I can't blame ya for askin'!
