I feel like Kaine never gets enough figures like imagine a mafex one or one with Kaine with a spider verse wave and the Other as a BAF like dude that would be insane and I'd buy it all what about you
a mafex kaine would be a must buy for me. With all of the spidey clones coming out, I'm pretty a Kaine is next on their list.

Figure collecting Ben Reilly fans got it good lately, both ML and Mafex Scarlet Spiders are great releases and the Mafex Spectacular Spider-Man got a reissue recently too
The ML is great and I don't regret getting it, but the cloth hoodie and magnetic hands (on top of all the other accessories) puts the Mafex as the superior version IMO. Luckily I am able to have both, but for anyone on a budget the ML is solid and will likely satisfy your needs for a Ben figure.
Get a soft hoodie for the Marvel Legends one and boom, you have the perfect Scarlet Spider.
Just got my Marvel Legends Ben and this is such a fun "fiddle figure". It's got the kind of quality where I'm constantly finding new poses that I didn't think the figure could get into

Found Tombstone, Goblin Queen and Angel recently, but no Ben Reilly yet. I will definitely be getting the ML one though. I had briefly considered spending extra money for the previous retro-carded ML for its lovely darker red, but after stewing on it, the new ML's better details and RYV articulation can't be beat.

I'd have loved to see the old Spider-Man Classics Scarlett Spider in there too. He had soft goods for the hoodie and was mostly pinless.
Because of Hasbro's ridiculous MSRP in Asia, Mafex is always gonna be more bang for your buck here.
Wish hasbruh would have added an unmasked ben head like they did with the last release, but i think they did a dope job. And since the mafex is way over my budget this is one of the few times i prefer a ml over a mafex, another banger vid jason 😎
The ML Scarlet Spider is so good looking. The sculpt on the hoodie and the headsculpt are perfect. For my tastes, it's the first Scarlet Spider figure in this scale that I actually like enough to own. My only real problems with it are that the web shooter gauntlets are a bit oversized, and the vestigial boot cut from the original body looks weird on a single color body.
The additional value in the Mafex figure really isn't worth the near 500% price increase to me, especially when the figure is a lot less aesthetically appealing to me. The additional articulation is nice, but the Marvel Legends figure has as much as I'd ever really want. The hands and web accessories are mostly unnecessary. I like the ML headsculpt more than all three of the Mafex ones, and I have plenty of web accessories already.
The only features from the Mafex I would really miss are the web holding hands and the ability to put the hood up. Besides that there's nothing that would make me pick it over the Marvel Legends.
I would really like to see Mafex do comic versions of Spider-Gwen and Black Cat, because for my money there haven't been truly good figures of either of them yet. I would love to see their takes on Green Goblin, Scorpion, Shocker, Doc Ock and Mysterio, too.

I finally jumped the gun on a scarlet spider figure. I kept comparing between the ML and mafex version. I ended up getting the mafex. I feel like it looks much more agile in proportions. It comes at a higher price for sure but ill never have to get another scarlet spider
I'm fine with paying $25. Scarllet Spider isn't my fav character, but it looks nice enough.
Yeah, for the price I am very happy. Only thing that would have made it better would be an alternate unmasked Ben head
Yeah, I think the Legends one kinda beats out the マフェックス version. It just looks a lot nicer to the eye and a lot less weedy than the マフェックス.
Legends is the winner for me. Is how I picture the Scarlet Spider, compared to the mafex is how I picture Scarlet Spider at the end of the month starving him self to make ends meet.
I like all the webs and extra hands on Mafex, but overall Legends is more than enough for me.
The mafex is a fantastic figure with a ton of accessories but this review reminded me why I passed on it. None of the 3 heads are what I think of when I hear Scarlet Spider. Meanwhile the legends head is exactly how I see him in my mind, which is why I preordered him right away. I do wish he came with an unmasked head but the mafex doesn’t either so he’s not losing points in a comparison
Its a shame the Mafex one didn’t include a Ben Reilly head when they had already done one for their Sensational Spider-Man figure
Agreed, though I do respect and appreciate all the web lines. That's an area Hasbro hasn't really quite gotten right yet.
You can’t find the ML scarlet spider though cause the scalpers swiped him up. So he’s goes on average for $40 now
It's still early, so be patient if you can. I saw him at my Target, and my GameStop is still accepting preorders on him

I got pretty unlucky with my copy of the Mafex, a lot of little QC issues that just dont make it fun to handle. Bums me out cause I adore their Classic Spidey figure. Still pre ordered their comic 2099 cause I never liked the Marvel Legends one. Of course now that I've done that watch hasbro announce a new 2099 on the RYV body.
Honestly, a NYV 2099 is what I am holding out for. I feel like his proportions are closer to how I picture Miguel. So sorry to hear you had QC problems, though! Especially at that price.

As nice as the mafex is, I’m just so deep into the legends spidy collection that I had to go with legends. Also I prefer the bulks because all the mafex spidy’s seem so slim
I went all in on Mafex for comic Peter Parkers (and genetic equivalents) and I definitely don’t regret having regular Spidey, Symbiote, Scarlet, and Spider-Ben all on basically the same buck with a bunch of articulation and accessories. However I will give Hasbro props for rising to the challenge, and I still rely on them for my Miles and armored Pete figures.

The thing about figures there supposed to look like figures but give that feel of their original reference hasbro did great on this packaging and the whole style and design just perfect best scarlet spider
Whichever you can get your hands on for a good price. Popular Legends figures are hard to buy at retail unless you preorder. I won't be surprised if the Scarlet Spiderman is commanding a price of $70 by the end of the year.
The thing both of these guys miss, and seemingly most modern superhero toys is that stylized shading. No a figure is never going to look exactly like a 2D drawing but when Ben Reilly is drawn in this costume he’s almost never bright red, something the Spiderverse movie got very right. If Hasbro (but especially Mafex since they’re WAY less affordable) started to do more shading it would set these figures over the top. Until then these figures just look kinda off.
They did it with the new DD in that 2-pack with HydroMan and it only looks so-so.
The retro lizard is meant more for a first appearance version. That's why it's the head on it put the package. That's the reason he's small
I would personally give it to ML just because of the QC Mafex. I have both, but I'm more inclined to pose the ML one. I've heard too many instances of the Mafex breaking.
I can't believe that I ended up liking the off the shelf, more affordable (I didn't say reasonably priced) Marvel Legend version than the premium import Mafex version!
The magnetic hands and webs are the only thing I like about the MAFEX (I wonder if 5POA reads the comments ?) I dont comment often and just started reading them.
Scarlet Spider aka just Ben Rielly is my favorite character 😅😂 I love this suit, but I'm a bigger fan of his Sensational Suit, which I unfortunately missed out on both times from Mafex
Legends is up to $40 on Amazon and eBay. I’ll probably pick one up from there rather than wait until July.
I think the ML figure is the one for me cuz for the mafex I would only use the thwip hands the fist hand the calm hand and open hands so I really would just get the ML one and buy a cloth hoodie off Ali express or sum
Yeah, as much as I appreciate them, I never really use a lot of the Mafex extras, but I do love the webs
The mafex hoodie is accurate to a comic cover (idk if it's the first appearance of this suit) no idea why they based it on that, also the ML hoodie does interfere with the butterfly joint, it barely moves compared to the mafex
I usually think of it as I can get 5 figures or just one for the same price.

I think the ML version is the superior version. But both excellent figures.
The accessories make the Mafex for me, but as a figure I like Legends better

If you can afford Mafex, buy those. Just better..you get what you pay for. That said, this Hasbro version is good enough at the price point.
You will save money & get a decent version.
BUT..if they charge one single cent more without giving more accessories or higher quality.. STOP buying Hasbro products.

You forgot the Mafex knee joint breaking gimmick. It makes your 120 dollars figure lame qnd useless and makes your day shit! How many points is that for marvel legends?
I don't watch other videos on figures I review, so I was not aware this figure had QC issues. Some others have commented about that though and man that is just terrible! Especially for the price. So sorry that happened to you
