The mummy of Ramses II, which is in measures 170cm or 5’ 69.3”. It can be seen in the National Museum in Cairo. So he was above average height for the time but in a context of tall people, he was not.
History always exaggerate peoples height one way or the other for propaganda purposes. Great leaders are portrayed as taller than they actually are by their own and as shorter by their enemies. Napoleon for example was about average height for his time but is always portrayed as very short. This was the image Britain and other enemies of France tried to give the emperor to diminish him. At the same time Lord Nelson was only 5’ 4” or 162cm. So actually shorter than Napoleon who at the autopsy at his death measured 5’ 7” or 170cm using English units.
Different units in different countries also cause some confusion. A foot in Britain was not the same as a foot in other countries, they were all different. It’s not long ago that we abandoned the thousands of different measures around the world and agreed on the metric system. Well, the smarter countries did anyway. 😉

For instance, 3 of Churchill's main biographers list him as between 5'6" to 5'8". Putin is also believes to be over 5'6" using video analyses, though some notice that occasionally he appears taller (like when meeting dignitaries) leading to the belief he uses shoe lifts.

175 cm is 5'9". You can test that with Google. This video has a horribly wrong conversion between the metric and the imperial system! 1 inch is about 2.54 cm and one foot is basically 30.48 cm. I am 178 cm so I am 5'10", for instance.

The conversion between meters and feet is not accurate (e.g. 6'3" should be 1.90m not 1.92m which in this case would be equal to 6.3 feet), so I think I know what happened: as he might not be used to imperial system (which is fair since only americans and some canadians still use this nonsensical measurement), he might have looked up their heights in meters and converted them only into feet, and that's where the problem lies upon because he forgot to include inches too while editing the video, hence mixing up feet and inches with feet only.
TL;DR: The numbers in feet/inches are wrong.
