great videos! thanks for keeping them posted. have you had issues with the convertible top getting stuck in the first stage when going back up? could it be a relay? is there a bypass to get it back up

It could be a switch or a relay. Depends where it gets stuck. All relays can be bypassed, just need to find the right one. Where does it get stuck.

it’s getting stuck with the lid straight up and the flap functions up and down. the top itself does not go back up.

@lonnie67 could be the rotary switch, could be the pump, could be the top down switch, could be the pump relay. Will need a voltmeter and a wiring diagram.

Hello Bubba, Do you know which relay on the fender is the window safety relay? I have read the shop manual but it’s confusing.

I don't. The best way is to use the wire colors to figure it out.

okay thank you! using the manual and tracing the wire color helped

Thanks for your videos. Do you happen to have the finished wiring diagram? Am starting with the rear window relay replacement.

The wiring diagrams are all in the back of the shop manual. The manual can be downloaded from the files section of the Suicide Slabs facebook group or in limited amounts from the Lincoln Land website.

It is probably the headlight switch. Check out my other video on how to clean and rebuild it. Also check the fuses just to be sure.

And why do you not have more views? This is the stuff that keeps people from owning these cars. They don't want to pay $400 to do something you just showed them how to do for $4 and some time!!!

Thanks. Its not about the views. Watch the opening of my video on the steering box. Lol.

Hello bubba can you identify each relay

    • @bubbasanders8916

Actually most of the information on relay positions is posted on the Facebook group called Suicide Slabs. Its a private group and you'll need to prove you own a Lincoln continental to join. See ya there!
