Curtis, me and my fishing partners have found some times adding a small ice dub fluorescent chartreuse collar behind the bead increases our takes with this pattern. This is a great pattern and one of my go to patterns for still waters. Love this fly, thanks!
Killer fly guys. I have fished this extensively here in NZ Lakes the last year. I tie it balanced with chartreuse bead. Second only now to ya balanced Damsel!
If you tie in the brown Hackle at the rear of the fly and then twist it into the dubbing loop and wrap forward you illuminate the need for a counter wrap of mono because the hackle is buried in the dubbing loop.
have you ever been as far sa to decide what you could have done with your entire life? often times i wonder how there ever came to be the occurance of human life upon the lower back of my wifes back while im away on business for the factory making fishing flys so we can afford to eat at the local mcdonalds even though i know for a fact that shes away with the "girls" playing "games" that definetly dont envolve her ex from college. activate code: fisher of men goal: to eradicate the "fish"

I tied 3 of these last week and used them Tuesday. I caught 6-8 fish. I actually wore the pink off the bead. Great pattern! Thanks!
Just gave’em hell on the Tuckaseegee in NC with the TM!
Nice video, thanks for sharing. I have tied and fished the thin mint for years, but I will have to whip up a few of your variation.

Correct, but it adds way too much hackle to the fly that way. This fly has a more sparse hackle look
What model hook is this?
How about a thin mint humungus?
Do u guys carry it on your site?
Not the actual fly in this variation, no.
I assume this is a tungsten bead? On a size 8? 10?
Yeah, and #8 (BTW, all materials are listed in the description link...)
