I find it weird people think Cleese was born into money, every member of Monty Python was from a very poor family and suffered great hardships until their 20s. To make matters worse he has expressed love and respect for many who are deemed "woke" he did decide to cancel himself as he felt people misunderstood some of his old jokes and were going to mislabel him as rich and racist, which is what happened anyway. Cleese, as all former members of Monty Python, have been part of many civil rights movements especially since being Monty Python member Graham Chapman being gay; Cleese showed the most sadness at his funeral even called him his best friend.
