    I've done the same thing with excellent results. It's how I cycled my tank. And yes, soak in chlorinated water for 24 hours. I'm lucky enough to have several water bodies to choose from. None polluted.

      ​@@Gigachadly definitely not china. He literally found mosquito fish Ludwigia cabomba and parrot feather all North American plants and fish. As well as the scenery is definitely North America. Also his accent is definitely American.

      Either that or it's mermaid weed. Definitely not camomba since it doesn't have the fan leaves but more of a feather.
