I live very close to that swamp and it is filled with crocodiles. I went there 3 weeks ago and seen 3 in hald f an hour!!
Crocs do not like Dutch meat,, hahaha
@@casadelosotte , I wish. I've been bitten by one a long time ago. In The Netherlands even! So they do like me 🤣
Is close Asia, that's why you get wild Betta...
@@NienkeJoe Where did you get bitten in the Netherlands lol. Afaik there are no crocs in the Netherlands. At least not in the wild that is.
@@karinneeskens, in a reptile center I used to work in.
As a biologist I am fully aware there are no wild crocodiles in the Netherlands. But I never claimed it was a wild one 🙃
Most people see you as a fish keeper/breeder, your actually a film maker. Absolute brilliant job on this!!!!
Thank you!
@@maruiacancercme subbing for u
Congratulations!! I can't imagine how rewarding it is to have fished up your fish and then successfully bred them!! Brilliant!
Thanks so much!
Such a beautiful fish species! Thanks for taking us with you on your trips!
Please do take us on more adventures! I'm not from Australia, and the scenery alone is enough to make me wish I were there. It also makes me want more of these kind of videos.
Congratulations on catching the fish you wanted. They can only be described as beautiful. If they were available around here, I'd surely buy some and dedicate a tank to them.
Encore!
yeah i agree, i was looking on moving to Oz but after i seen what they did to there own people the last few years.... i will appreciate oz beauty from afar
In today's Lesson we are going to teach you how to win a Darwin award in Cairns 😂 this is definitely my favourite fishkeeping Chanel
Hahahahaha
😅Hahaha😅...& same👍
There will 100% be a crocodile there. No doubt at all. Hymenachne grass is the clue.
Pseudomugils are some of my favourite fishes! Love it when the males display their finnage
Spotted blue eyes are awesome 👍, i have gurtrude blue eyes.
Its a pretty fish, its super cool that you got to catch em in the wild and also breed them successfully in your aquarium.

LOVE the native fish videos! I'm in the process of setting up a tank for North American natives right now (mountain redbelly dace, saffron shiners, central stonerollers, tangerine darters, etc.) so I love seeing similar content from Australia :)

I'm so glad your Streams/Rivers aren't so "infested" with non-native Species! Greetings from Germany.🤘
love these videos nick!
Thanks mate , great name btw
They're beautiful!
Instantly subscribed. Great video!
I've caught most species in Australia and a few in PNG using nets similar to the "Trap" shown in your video....much easier and safer than nets on poles. The secret is not to worry about "Bait." in the net itself. If you see fish you can catch them. Lower net into water....fresh white bread is the best bait. Roll small bits of bread into a ball of dough...then flatter it. Throw it into water so it will slowly sink into net. the sinking dough will attract fish. keep repeating every 20/30 seconds. After a while more and more fish will be attracted, and eventually there will be a bit of a feeding frenzy. When you see this pull the net quickly out of the water. Repeat till you have fish you are after. Gudgeons tend to take longer to be attracted than Rainbows. They don't tend to eat the bread, they just get attracted to the vibration of it hitting the water and follow other fish attacking it as it sinks. Give it a go....especially if you are in croc country!! I live in Brisbane...Happy to demonstrate at any local trip you take
I like your adventure videos! keep living that best life my man!
next time you do this i would suggest using a good pair of polarized sun glasses. those will really help you see through the glare on the surface of the water
That's pretty darned amazing to be able to go out to a local wetland and find fish for your tank.
what an awesome species !!! Congratulations
The Fish look so beautiful 🤩 ! I wish I had them.
Ohh so Cute, My Childhood Dream
We want more of these make series if possible ❤
I love it❤❤
Thank you 😊
So cool video!❤️❤️❤️
They are so beautiful, I would love for you to make a colony tank of em. Then update them once in a while.
So much fun exploring love it.
It's the best
I have some of these guys in my tank, they are such gorgeous fish and look amazing with pogostemon stellatus. They’re pretty easy to breed too, just keep floaters and have dense foliage!
Yet another great post
Great vid. I have these and they are so cool and unique
Lovely! If you ever sell some of the babies I will buy 🎉😊
WOW!!!😮😮😮😮amazing!
atmospheric video
Love the new "adult" format!
I’ve been waiting for this video to come! Hello from the Atherton tablelands ! I saw some info from Lenert on one of our local FB groups
after 15sec of the vid I know I will love it :)
your production quality is peak!
Awesome dude, I love fish ❤
Love your videos. All the North American birds singing in the background were amusing 🙃
I went (rod and reel) fishing in Kakadu once. It was an after thought at the end of a boat trip and right at the end of the wet. So I understand when you say the amount water scattered the fish! We saw a Croc, frog and not a lot else waterline wise. Lots of insects and stunning birds though. God what a beautiful part of the world.
