It's amazing how around the world in many different languages the word for mother sounds like the bleating of a baby goat.....mum, ma, mama, mummy, madre, mambo and more and even words for father, papa, pa, dad, daddy, dada, da, padre and more. Baby goats even have the different intonations that sound like the different expressions of emotions that children express. Parents ( in the English language anyway) will even say to a nagging child " Stop bleating! " Maybe this is why people with other languages adopt the word " kid " so easily as a slang word for children everywhere. It fits so well. It's amazing how around the world in many different languages the word for mother sounds like the bleating of a baby goat.....mum, ma, mama, mummy, madre, mambo and more and even words for father, papa, pa, dad, daddy, dada, da, padre and more. Baby goats even have the different intonations that sound like the different expressions of emotions that children express. Parents ( in the English language anyway) will even say to a nagging child
" Stop bleating! "
Maybe this is why people with other languages adopt the word " kid " so easily as a slang word for children everywhere. It fits so well. Also maybe because both kinds of kids have the habit of capering around each place bouncing off the walls and furniture and appearing at the top of high risky places in the environment.
