One more little touch you can give the cluster is a carbon fiber overlay that surrounds the gauges. There are a couple different styles, but I believe the dry carbon look would match better with the original style of the cluster. Nice job.
I don’t understand why honda would make a cluster with RPMs on the automatic but on the 93 Honda civic hatchback manual they made it without the rpm tachometer. I swapped the automatic cluster into the manual transmission eg. Miles weren’t accurate but close enough and the cluster worked fine.
First civic I ever drove was a 95 DX special with a manual and no tach. Bounced it off the rev limiter a time or two. Now that I think of it my old 88 F-250 with a 351 and a ZF 5 speed didn’t have a tach either but my 90 F-150 with a 302 and an automatic transmission had a tach. 🤣
I once painted the cluster needles and trim panel in fluorescent colors and in used some mini black lights within the cluster and it would make the whole thing jump out at you. It was so fun night driving.
What I think is wait until night time and show the lights on. Cool fact: night time happens every 24 hours at some point. Felt left down haha been wanting to do an led gauge cluster swap on my gc8. This didn't help motivate me at all.

the si came with a b16a2, and the type r came with a b16b. might seem the same however internally it was all different. honda used the b18c block with a way better valvetrain and ported b16 head. type r’s also will only come in hatchbacks. their chassis is built for the track.

If you search up SIR gauge cluster the first video that pops up is a guy doing the gauge cluster swap and he explains more about the eBay listing. I just checked out the eBay listing and it’s not bad.
