Yeah I love it to Steve! I did the same thing from the time I was about three years old. It made me the operator I am today that’s for sure! Thanks for watching👍🏻
Thanks Mike! Other than me making some stencils and cutting a perfectly good blade 😂 my uncle dI’d all the work. Yes they are some really nice running dozers that’s why I don’t know if I could ever sell it. Thanks for watching buddy👍🏻
I’ll bet! That is some beautiful Topsoil! I love peeling topsoil with a Dozer and seeing the blade get all nice and shiny. Thanks for watching Edward👍🏻
Alot of money in machine to let sit most of time. I went threw yard and sold everything I didn't use. Had about $50k in stuff just sitting. Nice machines 👍
Yes it is a lot of money sitting but it has been paid for years ago. My thought is if I do one job a year with it it’s still better than money in the bank that makes nothing. It’s hard to replace this preadmission stuff so I’m going to hang onto it for a while. Thanks for watching👍🏻
When I was growing up the bulldozer was always my favorite machine to run. My dad always told me if you can cut and hold grade on a bulldozer you will always have a job! Nowadays they have GPS so I guess that’s not so true anymore! LOL😂
That's a pretty cool modification. I cut the blade down on both sides of my D3c lgp to fit the next size smaller cutting edges, didn't really need a blade that wide anyway for such a small dozer. So I went from 124" width to 115" width, which is still about 3" over width when angled. I also made the blade about 5" taller similar to what you did. I've wondered for years why the manufactures don't come up with some kind of transport solution for these small lgp dozers to eliminate the permit. Seems they could do something similar to what you did, or make the blade quick detachable or something.
Ingenious blade engineering Ed!! I bet you got some funny looks slicing the end off a new blade 🤯🤯🤯 Good to see you all played nicely in the topsoil too 😂 Happy Father's day Ed, Ray and dad !!
Thanks Alex! I had my uncle there the whole time making sure everything was perfect! I did the cutting and he made it all work. He was the best fabricator I have ever seen and truly missed! Could never had done it without him.
I take a lot of pride in my equipment and I think it shows through the work I do. Brandon has been doing some small jobs on his own and then when we have bigger jobs he comes and helps Ray and I. It was time for him to start doing more. Thanks for watching Jim👍🏻
In 04’ Cat was building the G series dozers and my dad and I felt like the Deere’s were so much more productive and controllable. Glad we bought these when we did! Thanks for watching Tim👍🏻
I bet you swallowed hard when you got the saw started and touched it to that blade! That’s a clever modification. Useful too. Just curious… did you also install a cup holder while you were at it? Watching that double push it is apparent the machines were operated by aficionados. Nice ‘n Nice! Did you say how many hours you had on yours? She pushes and looks like a new one!
Yes I did my dad told me you better have a steady hand as you are cutting! LOL as luck would have it it already had a cup holder!. Yeah my dad and I both love running bulldozers and that was nice being able to push side-by-side with him! The XLT machine with the shiny blade has 2500 on it and the LGP machine with the dull blade from not being used only has 1447 hours on it. Thanks for watching William👍🏻
I’d be interested in seeing a tour/history and see the rest equipment in the shop where the 650 was I like the older John Deere stuff that’s a nice 650 you have
It is a John Deere 490 E that we bought new in 1995. That thing was really nice until we started doing work with it that was just too heavy for it. Now it is a little sluggish and tired! Thanks for watching 👍🏻
Yeah here in PA you would have to pull a permit every time you moved it. You can buy a book of permits and write them yourself but still it cost more money and more hassle. I do love the older preadmission machines👍🏻
The big difference is that yours will have one extra roller on the track frame which will make that machine so much nicer for finish grading. I was so disappointed when they came out with that the year after I bought mine. If it’s in good shape I would say go for it! You’re gonna love it 👍🏻
Thats a Rapid Lil Dozer right there !!🤠
Looks like a lot fun. Your dad has some nice toys.
It was so much fun! He has a lot of really clean equipment and I plan on filming more.
Thanks for watching John 👍🏻
Man I love it ! I grew up on John Deere dozer sitting on my dad’s lap ! Happy Father’s Day guys !
Yeah I love it to Steve! I did the same thing from the time I was about three years old. It made me the operator I am today that’s for sure! Thanks for watching👍🏻
That's awesome fab work 💪🏼JD dozer's are hard to beat good unit
Thanks Mike! Other than me making some stencils and cutting a perfectly good blade 😂 my uncle dI’d all the work. Yes they are some really nice running dozers that’s why I don’t know if I could ever sell it.

When you two were running together, I could almost smell the dirt. Double thumbs up.
I’ll bet! That is some beautiful Topsoil! I love peeling topsoil with a Dozer and seeing the blade get all nice and shiny. Thanks for watching Edward👍🏻
I’m a #deereman4life
And that is a great idea!
Love watching dirt roll over a blade
Me too I could watch it all day! Deere and cat are definitely my two favorites! Thanks for watching👍🏻
That is a beautiful 650 LGP I love the blade design!! I could operate that dozer all day!!! If you ever want to sell is I am waiting!
Yeah you can really get comfortable in that machine! It’s so quiet and has a radio with AC it never really gets old! LOL thanks for watching buddy👍🏻
Ed you're the man, making everything work for you.
Thanks Angelo! I have to!
Quitting is never an option! Always move forward! 👍🏻

Nice machines!! I'd like to learn to run a dozer someday. it looks like fun.

I did see a few years after I did mine that caterpillar made a similar folding blade on their high sprocket D5 and D6 machines as an option.
Modifications look factory!!
Yes I agree! My uncle did an amazing job on that project!
Thanks for watching Ray👍🏻
Good job men 😎
Thanks appreciate you watching 👍🏻😎
Awesome!
Ingenious blade engineering Ed!!

You created some good memories doing that project too, and thank you Ed !!
@@fulltiltgrading8366 beautiful work, looks like factory!
Dueling Dozerez! LOL
Yes sir 👍🏻 💪🏻
Beautiful machines you take good care of your equipment very impressive. Is Brandon still around?

If that dozer comes up missing I would check Dirt Perfects channel. lol
Lol 😂! I think Mike would love these 650s! Simple and strong 💪🏻! Thanks for watching Reddog 👍🏻
Looking pretty good bud!!
Thanks Brad. Hope those shirts got to you. If not let us know we will send your money back. It says it shipped on our end.
@@fulltiltgrading8366 actually no nothing yet
@@fulltiltgrading8366 do you have like a tracking number on it
@@bradnavratil5502 I will ask Brandon and get back to you.
@@fulltiltgrading8366 sounds good
Being a operator for almost 40 years now, I will take a Deere dozer over any other dozer out there!

Placing Tackle on the Track is fatal !!😄

@@ConstructionMachineryChannel First chance I get I will get up there and do some more videos. Good to hear from you Allen 👍🏻

What size John Deere excavator is that in the background

@Full Tilt Grading backup beeper disabled?
We have most machines on a switch so when we are at the shop we aren’t bothering the neighbors. Especially early mornings and late nights.
@@fulltiltgrading8366 i think letsdig just unplugged the one in his 953 but can easily be plugged back in if need be
Those are 2 awesome machines lucky here in alabama I can buy a annual permit covers me to 12'6" wide and 100k lbs for like $200

Looking at an 08 650j lgp machine myself right now. Looks like there isn't much difference in an h and j series

I have tried to get this done. Would you be willing to share info or number to who did it?
My uncle and I did the work and he has since passed away.
A good fab shop should be able to help you.
