Thank you for your excellent instructions. I would suggest commenting about proof of dispatch AND proof of receipt before explaining the proof that Form 3811 will provide, i.e. need for proof of dispatch, receipt, and the importance of obtaining the certified receipt at the counter. In my experience, clients rely on tracking and overlook the distinction between delivery vs. receipt and proof of dispatch without realizing that tracking only verifies delivery. Nonetheless, great, concise presentation!
Thank you, Scott. You raise some very good points. We do have a video going over archiving the certified letter for future use and proof of dispatch. Perhaps we will create a new video that combines both processes here in the near future. Thanks again for your comment. The link to the other video is here: ruclips.net/video/1GffFxGD23M/видео.html
Stamps makes this easy if you own a printer. You can buy certified envelopes and use their software to print directly onto the envelope with the necessary mailing info.
You don't have to include the 3811 form if you don't want to. That is an extra service and will cost more money. You can mail a Certified Letter with or without that form.
This is very helpful. One question. Do I still need to put the addressee on the front of the envelope and my return address in the upper left hand corner of the envelope?
Only issue is you cant prove what was IN the envelope sent. Im sure that can be a loophole for some slick lawyer in a case. Just playing devils advocate of course. :)
Thank you for the concise instructions. No silly music or graphics -- and you got right to the point! Very helpful.
Thank you for the helpful video! I had to send a certified letter today at work, and I didn't want to ask my co-worker to explain it to me AGAIN.
I found this very helpful. Concise, direct and illustrative. Thanks for this public service.
Idk why all the other videos and sites didn’t make ANY sense to me. This video saved my butt. Saving it for sure. Thank you ☺️
Thank you! Been an attorney for almost 20 years and never once did this myself.
Thank you, this is going to save me so much time at the post office. I am sure the clerks would thank you as well.

Simple and easy to follow. Only suggestion is up the volume a little. Otherwise, thanks!
Very helpful. I was able to complete job! Thanks!
I need to send a demand letter to a married couple. One of them needs to sign it. How would one address the certified mail form?
Thank you, for simple and concise instructions!
who else trying to cancel a gym membership from out of state?
Nice job!
I just sent 2 certified letters, and was told at the postal office form 3811 isnt required anymore if I go online to see results.
what you was told has to be true. I've never seen form 3811 at the post office, just the first form.
3811 is for return receipt
So does the letter get left till it's signed and returned or do they have to be there for delivery
This is very helpful. One question. Do I still need to put the addressee on the front of the envelope and my return address in the upper left hand corner of the envelope?
Yes. You will still need to include the recipient's name and address along with the return address on the envelope.
What if you don’t need postmark from post office
fair enough
Helpful
You don’t need the 3811

This is confusing
