I really love how pilots can eject from their aircraft and survive on the ground. It would make for some interesting Search & Rescue scenarios. The game looks lovely.
@@oneballimann6425 For a specific mp game mode you could have 2 sides attempt to search for lost pilots around the map? 1 side tries to kill/capture them the other tries to rescue them. Just an idea.

This def looks more like Wargame 2.0 but yes. I think Regiments is the other end of the spectrum, bringing Wargame lethality to WiC-like gameplay with platoon-sized units, more-simplified urban combat, and tactical aids. While Broken Arrow still maintains the Wargame granularity, and even enhances it with customization of units/payloads, and enhances it with more QoL features. Very excited for a playable demo/beta/release
I was an artilleryman in my younger years and one of my fondest memories from Iraq was when world in conflict came out and I managed to get the collector's edition mailed(I still have my piece of the berlin wall that came with it). We burned copies of it, and out in our remote combat outpost it was a sight to behold as nearly a platoon of guys in a tent with a bunch of laptops held a LAN party using a gas generator to play it. We were all immensely impressed by a game that, to this day, had some of the best representation of the work we did. This game gives so many of those familiar vibes and I love it.

@@KazzoKiller3890 Allowed? There's no rule against having fun in the military. Sure they're strict during training but there's a point behind that. Once you're in active duty you get a large degree of freedom back, and even back in 2007 it wasn't uncommon at all for people to have laptops in Iraq even in combat arms. After all, it was an occupation, not a mobile war. There wasn't a lot of down time, for sure, but when there was, you were basically free to do as you liked(Not that there was really anything to do on a small combat outpost, which is why people brought laptops in the first place). Heck, by halfway in the deployment we had even all pooled together cash for an internet satellite dish.
Simply amazing, the audio, the physics, the individual bullets and tracers flying through the air, to the flashpoints of the guns firing, and tanks/APC’s unloading. I hope this game has tons of maps and tons of armies thrown into it. Just like wargame red dragon! I cannot wait to own this game. The only game I have been looking forward to for 2 years!!! The sound of the gunfire and vehicles, and feeling the audible weight of the choppers flying through the air. War and machinery is loud, so hearing the audio the way it is, simply blows my mind!

In my opinion I think the infantry in building fights should be slowed down as the models die a little quick when they are supposed to be in well reinforced structures and have types of each building that have different defensive values while garrisoned to slow the building combat vs other infantry combat like skyscrapers obviously would have the best and regular houses the worse in regards of balance. Just my 2 cents.
Agreed. But I simply just don’t want any building hopping like in wargame. Worst thing about infantry in that game. Making city battles a micro nightmare
@@Kesen2003 this game has sprinting to run across individual streets. There will be micro in cities. Quite a bit if you have to use a sprint button to run across open streets for max safety
I believe a game like this will be much more accessible and appreciated by the causal community. Many of us don't have time or the patience to understand the specs for each vehicle in the game, so in my opinion, the world in conflict style approach to combat and deployment is rather a brilliant idea that can bring the RTS community into less of an enthusiast-only atmosphere. I hope this game will succeed in popularity since I have no doubt that it will take its unique place in the genre. I would love to see the military RTS game again become a significant force in today's gaming industry. My biggest wish here is to have a 3a title with an original plot line like what we had with c&c or WiC. I used to revisit both from time to time before windows11, they will always held a special place in my heart.
sorry mate. i dont think this game is made for casual players. maybe they made the AI better since WG:RD but to control every single unit by one command is more a thing about super micro/meta gaming playstyle

Agreed. The wargame community is very small and very loud anyway and not representative of the actual RTS crowd at large. There is a reason every Eugen RTS is pretty much a multiplayer wasteland a month after release with only a handful of diehard europeans sticking around. The formula just isn't fun, not even for an RTS enthusiast. Even niche games like men of war have more players online at any given time. Leaning more in the direction of World in Conflict was the best decision the devs could have made.

Even games like Graviteam which are extremely obtuse have higher player counts than Wargame. I'm sure Eugen will keep making those types of games for people that like them, but wargame is objectively not a recipe for success if you're a publisher and development team trying to reach an audience bigger than the average online population of 150-200 people max on a good day. There is a reason Focus interactive cut ties with Eugen, their gameplay loop just wasn't keeping people invested in the IP. World in Conflict came out in 2007, and doesn't even have an official master server to operate multiplayer anymore(You need to use a community made one) and I still have an easier time hopping in to play multiplayer than the usual wait times of 30-60 minutes in a lobby for wargame.

Да, визуал интерфейса хотелось бы чутка допилить, особенно эти кружки которыми отмечены зоны задания, но как я понимаю это просто времянка что бы не тратить время на третьестепенные вещи. Однако темп боевики выглядит на 10, механики на 10, визуализация боя просто огненная, особенно после варгеймов где стреляли херпоймичем, ля эти полёты хелфаеров, джавелинов, ПЗРК, артиллерии они очень классные и реалистичны, просто хочется кричать ВЕРЮ!, стрелковый бой звучит как стрелковый бой, а не сходка страйкболистов, дым завесы у техники на отступлении, Боже дайте минуту новую пачку салфеток открыть. И мать его за ногу карта. Не знаю как оно будет для пвп боёв, но если вы для ПвЕ миссий сделали такие карты, это просто огонь. Наконец-то это не просто квадратик с рельефом, а настоящее направление боевых действий. Как же мне не хватало миссий где можно было по воде обойти врага и с помощью флота помочь сухопутным. Понимаю что для карт имитирующих бои в на континенте а не на острове в придётся делать ограничения, но это не критично, просто сам факт что будут вот такие карты уже будоражит. Интересно будет поиграть на каком-нибудь архипелаге или чем то на подобии проливов типа Датского, Дарданел, Босфора, тот же Крым, юговосток Онеги ну короче из этой оперы и какие-нибудь горные карты где будет ролять пехота с атурами. Да, там придётся прям выковыривать врага, но для пве почему нет. Если вы ещë и сделаете нормальную кампанию, а если вы ещë и скопируете из дракона механику стратегического ведения операции(это сильно разнообразит кампанию и еë интересно проходить по три четыре раза разными силами, способами и т д), то это будет лучшая стратегическая игра в реальном времени в этом сеттинге. Опять же, тогда игроки смогут решать лезть им через горные тактические карты или обойти по полям танками и просто взять врага в горах в окружение. Ну именно ППвЕ стратегия будет агонь насчёт пвп хз. Кстати ИИ по ходу нормальный. Но главный вопрос: компу пизда или вы ещë и оптимизацию смогли сделать?
И ещë вопрос: тактические ракеты будут ультимативными и пролетать ПВО на сквозь потому что вот так решено или же есть вероятность рассмотрения введения механики перехвата тактических ракет?
I'm stunned. Broken Arrow looks so much better than I ever expected. The scope of this game is _tremendous._ I did not expect air and naval combat to be as fleshed out as the ground combat was. And the presentation is out of this world, especially the sound design. I'm gonna be keeping a close eye on Broken Arrow for sure and I hope to hell more people take notice of it before long.

The game's development seems to be holding nicely, plus I'm planning to buy the game when it comes out, although I got a proposition that the devs can consider. Make props (like cars, street lights, trees, and some smaller buildings) to be destructible. I suggest to make it similar like the destruction physics in World In Conflict.
мне показалось что летящие снаряды артиллерии выглядят несколько комично, чуть замедлить и немного визуал поменять, ну может это очень субъективно, конечно, не знаю и то что пехота может стрелять из разных этажей, а огонь по ней ведётся только на первый. Остальное супер, особенно порадовал джавелин (явно будет полезнее чем птуры в ред драгон) и катапультирующиеся пилоты, игра по графическому стилю очень похожа на WiC, выглядит потрясно!
Looks AMAZING. I know this must be a demo build, and the things I am about to say might be fixed already but: 1. When the red units start taking fire / or are panicked, their icon gets a red tint, much like the blue ones. On the red units it is not very visible. Maybe you can add another color tint to improve visibility. 2. The UI can have a colored / tinted background because it gets washed out by other background objects. That should be more than enough. That said, the voice acting is amazing. So is the gameplay. The pilot ejection mechanic is unique too. Using buildings as cover against air defence adds a whole new dimension to gameplay. Can the cruise missiles be interecepted by air defence such as Tunguskas or BUKs like IRL ? And do units 'regenerate' after getting destroyed like in Regiments ? I saw it said 0/2 AH-1Z Viper @ 28:57. So if the 2 Vipers get destroyed, can they be respawned ? And there were also prompts about "unit returned" so does that mean they unit goes back to repairs ? and needs to be bought again ? I didnt see anything about unit veterancy in the game so far. Is the mechanic there ? Cant wait for the Russian gameplay.
this genuinely looks beyond amazing. I'm wondering if there is a civilian aspect in the game such as enemies using human shields and stuff, like if you kill a lot of civilians then it will make the enemy fight back even harder and you will get budget cuts because of bad PR. Or if you minimize casualties, the civilians can aid you by giving intelligence on enemy positions and stuff. Maybe even saboteurs and insurgents can be added to cause havoc behind enemy lines, special forces doing missions deep in enemy territory disguised as civilians. I think that would make it very realistic
I thought this was gonna be like wargame or steel division but i starts reminding me more and more of world in conflict and that lowkey makes me slightly happy. Anyone else with me? From the specialization system to the game moves around. I loved world in conflict played out i hope to see more gameplay footage cause im very excited
wow so this game also features arleigh burke destroyers with tomahwaks and long range AA like S350! it's been sometime since I saw a game implementing a larger scenario with longer range weapons and more diverse air water and terrestrial combat! this game is a stunner already
Very nice. I sort of hope for a "realism" mode for these games where the vehicles act slower-bulkier like in the combat mission series. I thinks slowing the action is a good thing. Another thing; I know this genre does not use such things but I'd love for there to be a "chance" factor on how critical a hit is. Each plane having a health and rquiring exactly 3 missiles seemed quite off. Many should go down with 1 or at least get some sort of crippling damage.
Im so glad they are taking the customisation and scale of wargame but are using world in conflict style combat. That game was so far ahead of its time and so much fun to play.
That's an absolutely awesome showcase. I particularly loved the soundscape and visual effects - both are very hard to do properly in RTS, but in gameplay shown here effects are beautiful yet helping to read the situation on the field. I think mortars a bit too agile though - very little time between attack order and shells landing the enemy positions. However, since the game is not public yet balance is definitely not the point of this video. The map looks gorgeous too. And interesting if the height of buildings hinder helicopter's vision and ability to lead an ATGM. Overall, great demo, I can't wait for release on Steam. Thank you for your hard work!
Очень приятно видеть играбельный билд проекта, порадовала графика и детализация, масштаб игрового поля боя, и сам уровень, очень круто для RTS. Даже есть готовая озвучка юнитов, и уже достаточно широкое многообразие юнитов. Пуск томагавков с эсминца так же очень круто выглядит. Что напрягло - вертолёты, несущие БКО(AH-1Z) требуют ручного отстрела средств противодействия, хотя должны при обнаружении пуска ракеты делать это автоматически. И хотелось бы видеть больше разрушаемости объектов на карте, а то многоэтажки даже скриптово не сложились от попадания томагавков, оставив обугленный и частично разрушенный остов. На выходе в ранний доступ обязательно куплю, все равно это того стоит.
очень рад, что вы не сделали очередной Ред Дрегон, прям свежо смотреться (мне даже Противостояние 3 старые напомнило), добавьте воронок, гари какой нибудь на земле остовы техники, а то район захватили, а визуально как будто там не было мясорубки только что, ну и мечта, чтобы на технике от первого лица покатать можно было ( уровня как в Call to arms или Арме-ну это надеюсь может года через 3 прикрутите-если время будет).

So is there going to be a single player campaign in a linear fashion like WIC or is it going to be more like Regiments or Wargame EE/SD1 where it is linear but more loose or is there going to be a dynamic campaign like Wargame RD/Warno/SD2?

Есть несколько вопросов к зданиям, 4 томагавка на высотку) Комон разрабы) На мой взгляд у вас немножечко крепкие здания в игре, надо бы что то этим сделать, или же добавить ХП пул у мирных построек. Второе это UI, на мой взгляд то что с лева надо уменьшить или же переместить его вверх по экрану ибо оно сжирает много места, либо если будет возможность в меню его масштабировать то вопросов не будет) А так игра выглядит просто шикарно и очень напомнило WiC)
тебя не смущает что 40мм гранатомёт наносит урон.. брдм? а танку? меня вот смущает с первых секунд именно игры! а ещё... почему юниты в здании видят то, что стоит через 3 здания(3 "витязь")

One of the planes ate 3 missiles and 2 bursts of gun fire so I think they haven't really balanced the ttk yet

The game's development seems to be holding nicely, plus I'm planning to buy the game when it comes out, although I got a proposition that the devs can consider. Make props (like cars, street lights, trees, and some smaller buildings) to be destructible. I suggest to make it similar like the destruction physics in World In Conflict.

мне показалось что летящие снаряды артиллерии выглядят несколько комично, чуть замедлить и немного визуал поменять, ну может это очень субъективно, конечно, не знаю и то что пехота может стрелять из разных этажей, а огонь по ней ведётся только на первый.
Остальное супер, особенно порадовал джавелин (явно будет полезнее чем птуры в ред драгон) и катапультирующиеся пилоты, игра по графическому стилю очень похожа на WiC, выглядит потрясно!
Looks AMAZING. I know this must be a demo build, and the things I am about to say might be fixed already but:
1. When the red units start taking fire / or are panicked, their icon gets a red tint, much like the blue ones. On the red units it is not very visible. Maybe you can add another color tint to improve visibility.
2. The UI can have a colored / tinted background because it gets washed out by other background objects. That should be more than enough.
That said, the voice acting is amazing. So is the gameplay. The pilot ejection mechanic is unique too. Using buildings as cover against air defence adds a whole new dimension to gameplay. Can the cruise missiles be interecepted by air defence such as Tunguskas or BUKs like IRL ?
And do units 'regenerate' after getting destroyed like in Regiments ? I saw it said 0/2 AH-1Z Viper @ 28:57. So if the 2 Vipers get destroyed, can they be respawned ? And there were also prompts about "unit returned" so does that mean they unit goes back to repairs ? and needs to be bought again ? I didnt see anything about unit veterancy in the game so far. Is the mechanic there ?

this genuinely looks beyond amazing. I'm wondering if there is a civilian aspect in the game such as enemies using human shields and stuff, like if you kill a lot of civilians then it will make the enemy fight back even harder and you will get budget cuts because of bad PR. Or if you minimize casualties, the civilians can aid you by giving intelligence on enemy positions and stuff. Maybe even saboteurs and insurgents can be added to cause havoc behind enemy lines, special forces doing missions deep in enemy territory disguised as civilians. I think that would make it very realistic

wow so this game also features arleigh burke destroyers with tomahwaks and long range AA like S350! it's been sometime since I saw a game implementing a larger scenario with longer range weapons and more diverse air water and terrestrial combat! this game is a stunner already

Very nice. I sort of hope for a "realism" mode for these games where the vehicles act slower-bulkier like in the combat mission series.
I thinks slowing the action is a good thing.
Another thing; I know this genre does not use such things but I'd love for there to be a "chance" factor on how critical a hit is. Each plane having a health and rquiring exactly 3 missiles seemed quite off. Many should go down with 1 or at least get some sort of crippling damage.

Im so glad they are taking the customisation and scale of wargame but are using world in conflict style combat. That game was so far ahead of its time and so much fun to play.

That's an absolutely awesome showcase. I particularly loved the soundscape and visual effects - both are very hard to do properly in RTS, but in gameplay shown here effects are beautiful yet helping to read the situation on the field. I think mortars a bit too agile though - very little time between attack order and shells landing the enemy positions. However, since the game is not public yet balance is definitely not the point of this video.
The map looks gorgeous too. And interesting if the height of buildings hinder helicopter's vision and ability to lead an ATGM.
Overall, great demo, I can't wait for release on Steam. Thank you for your hard work!

Очень приятно видеть играбельный билд проекта, порадовала графика и детализация, масштаб игрового поля боя, и сам уровень, очень круто для RTS.
Даже есть готовая озвучка юнитов, и уже достаточно широкое многообразие юнитов. Пуск томагавков с эсминца так же очень круто выглядит.
Что напрягло - вертолёты, несущие БКО(AH-1Z) требуют ручного отстрела средств противодействия, хотя должны при обнаружении пуска ракеты делать это автоматически. И хотелось бы видеть больше разрушаемости объектов на карте, а то многоэтажки даже скриптово не сложились от попадания томагавков, оставив обугленный и частично разрушенный остов.
На выходе в ранний доступ обязательно куплю, все равно это того стоит.

очень рад, что вы не сделали очередной Ред Дрегон, прям свежо смотреться (мне даже Противостояние 3 старые напомнило), добавьте воронок, гари какой нибудь на земле остовы техники, а то район захватили, а визуально как будто там не было мясорубки только что, ну и мечта, чтобы на технике от первого лица покатать можно было ( уровня как в Call to arms или Арме-ну это надеюсь может года через 3 прикрутите-если время будет).

So is there going to be a single player campaign in a linear fashion like WIC or is it going to be more like Regiments or Wargame EE/SD1 where it is linear but more loose or is there going to be a dynamic campaign like Wargame RD/Warno/SD2?

Смотрится все просто огонь, отдельно спасибо за звуки, имо пока лучшие звуки из всех будущих РТС что в разработке. Есть несколько вопросов к зданиям, 4 томагавка на высотку) Комон разрабы) На мой взгляд у вас немножечко крепкие здания в игре, надо бы что то этим сделать, или же добавить ХП пул у мирных построек. Второе это UI, на мой взгляд то что с лева надо уменьшить или же переместить его вверх по экрану ибо оно сжирает много места, либо если будет возможность в меню его масштабировать то вопросов не будет) А так игра выглядит просто шикарно и очень напомнило WiC)
