I remember this when i had Sonic Adventure on Dreamcast during its original days. You had to use PlanetWeb(?) Dialup in order to download this DLC and the Christmas/New Years 2000 one. It was the very first time i had played online gaming with a console. I would relive moment if someone didn't steal my dreamcast years years years ago (Wish the dreamcast was not so dang expensive on eBay or i'd get another one). I wish this and the Christmas DLC was part of the DX during Gamecube's port (and would of been nice if they added it to the PSN/PC port as well.
@TutsModding The problem is that the version on the Xbox 360 is *not* based off of the Dreamcast version, but based off the PC version, which did not include the DLC.
Wow Sega already had DLC in that time? That's awesome and now that I think of it... they used those similar Jack O lanterns in the Sonic Heroes hang castle level.
since all the stuff is already in the game, they should have made it so that it would appear on the specific dates, instead of having to download the unlock files. would have made more sense and been way cooler
Sega of course, didn't really bother to show at least a few images or something of these downloaded packages for the GC remake. Obviously the Dreamcast version will always be better.
If the data is technically still in the game, just hidden, would it technically be possible to hack the game and get the necessary VMU data so people who didn't get the benefit of the DLC back in the day be able to enjoy it now?
@skyrunner14 i have a copy of the DLC for sonic adventure for easter, halloween, and christmas. its not hard to find but u have to kno where to look for it. i wish the servers were still up i never did get to play online with the dreamcast ever!! IF ANYONE NEEDS DLC FOR DREAMCAST GAMES CONTACTED ME I CAN SEND U A LINK
oh dreamcast you deserved to live more than 2 years!
Sega should start doing this type of stuff again. Even little things like this can increase replay value.

"Welcome to Tinkle Park"
...I don't think I wanna be there.

@MegaSonicfan1011 The game is on XBLA, the DLC is not. That's because the version on XBLA is *not* a port of the Dreamcast version.
This is awesome!!

this is just not fair. i was a kid at this time, and had NO IDEA about this stuff. AHHHHH!
this tradition lives on in phantasy star online!
i wish tht it could come back. all these awsome dlc"s
hmm just wondering but if i get a game genie would i technically be able to access this on my dreamcast
when they make SADX they make new voices or they just reuse the voices from the original game?
HOW THE HELL CAN THIS GAME HAVE DLC?!!?!
56k dial-up modem included with the console, actually.
@Mrgaful It's the same voices.
@TutsModding Yes, it will work on an emulator.
That Engrinsh made me lol. Wekum to tinuh pahk

The only way would be to get the actual file that unlocks that data, which is available through third party sites.

roller coaster song is nice
if i got this DLC File on my vmu from the internet and set my clock to Halloween wood this work?
Was the DLC popular when it first made it's launch?
It's silly for anyone to think that SEGA would add such DLC in the 360/PS3 remakes. You can hope, but it probably won't happen.
@TsukentoX what kind of third party sites if i may ask?
@TsukentoX it IS on xbox live arcade,how else can i get it on it?
0:45 It sounded like the guy said "Tinkle Park" XD
@evilsonicth Dreamcast only.
@sonicgamer2 Too late. The 256-bit generation of gaming has already been well under way.
nice!!!
Pretty sure game programming doesn't work that way.
Nah, everyone had dialup back then, so it didn't really get the crowd DLC now has.
