I recently did two interviews with couples who had huge age gaps. They don't fit the stigma. And in my opinion break thru the wall of judgement. Of course there's some, who's motives that are unscrupulous..but they're not always in it for the wrong reasons.
I was in Dumaguete last month and also asked Filipino what they think of foreigner.
None of them wanted to be on camera but several of them were much more candid than these guys.
I was down on the main drag at night though and they deal with the drunks 😂
Many Filipino men have came on and commented against us though. I think there's definitely a certain percentage who judge it unfairly.
Filipino are too respectful to be forthcoming to our face.

I really think the Philippines is welcoming to foreigners from my experiences there. I must say I experienced some foreigners being loud and rude at some of the places I went too which was sad and discouraging to me , I choose to be humble and courteous to others.

I have no interest in party life. Just curious about the possibility of finding a Christ seeking wife/non westernized woman. If it’s possible, to find a humble new life.

I was blessed- looking for someone i could trust i went thru the scammers, flew to fil and met liars- with 3 days left to my departure i went out for a bite and met my now wife of almost 12years.
First peaceful home i had ever...
I had red flag-itus, and looked for an issue, she was awesome.
Personally i had prayed, and then just relaxed. My wife's understanding of God and His ways is now awesome. She is my best friend, confidante, and there are no secrets..
Trust God, be honest with yourself, and do not give your heart until you know...!

Interesting topic Gary, and have often wondered the same thing. Thank you for this video. Haven't been to the Philippines very much but find most of the filipino men that I have met have been quite positive towards myself. They are generally good people and in the Visayas their are a lot of Catholics there (as is myself).
Some of your commenters are correct though that for a true unbiased survey a more representative cross section of the population would be better, definitely a interviewer who was also filipino would help. Suspect that the results would be mostly the same, not all filipino men are good and neither are all foreign men good.
Thank you Gary for this video.

I think Filipino men are like normal men , and they would all have different opinions, I also think that you being a Foreigner, probably won’t get an honest opinion from most FM

It will be much better if a Filipino did the interviews for this type of questions, they seem to be agreeable people and are going to give certain answers to a kano.

I going to bet that the same foreigners that go there and disrespect the Filipino workers are the same ones that I see screaming at workers in their own country. I see this type of behavior all the time in Michigan. If the bad rich people in my country look down on people like me they'll look down on the people in a foreign country. Also from what I've heard from a Filipina the Filipino men don't really care about us dating their women so long as we respect them and take care of them. It a running joke that we date the ones they consider ugly and vice versa. It might be the best place in the world for a western man to find a foreign wife without creating conflict.

Sometimes when I see videos like these with an American person interviewing local. I am wondering if they give their honest opinion or are they trying to be nice.

"Hinterlands" now there's a word you don't hear often anymore. Shows just how educated this gentleman is! We (Americans) always thump our chests shouting U S A. U S A! Thinking we are #1, when, in fact we are only #1 in things like worst education, most incarcerated, highest teen pregnancy, and of course, war. Compare us to any other 1st world country, heck, even most 2nd world country, and we fall way short of the mark. This country has been on a steady decline ever since the 50's.

Great video. Let's get the grammar in the title right though. "Filipina men" is an oxymoron. "Filipina" is the term for a female Filipino.
I find it highly amusing that a 6 foot white guy standing over Filipino men expects to get an honest opinion about foreigners.
Of course anyone working at Ground Zero will say good things about foreigners. Foreign guys are their "bread and butter".
    Cheers.

A very tall..strong..foreign white man asks, "What do you think of foreigners"..you may not be getting full thoughts. I like your video but what method could get more truth..an anonymous survey..maybe written in English and native language and given to them by a Fillipino person. Being the Fillipino culture is not confrontational and the whole " little white lies", it may not be part of their culture or comfortable to say to a foreigner their total thoughts and feelings.

I don't i think you're going to get honest answers in this situation especially since in PH most people are non confrontational some of the people are aT work and all of them are on camera. I think the answer depends but i would believe that they would be mostly negative towards it if it's very old person with a very young girl.

It's obviously look down upon...especially Filipina women who love to gossip...the Filipina risk her reputation when she marries a foreigner, since it is considered gold digging in the philippines....It's pretty obvious...

So you are asking Filipino men who have careers that basically rely on foreigners what their opinion is? That makes absolutely zero sense. The vast majority of Filipino men never comes in contact with foreigners. The men you asked are obviously going to have a favorable opinion. Go talk to the construction worker, go talk to the men working rice fields….that will give you accurate data. This video is just for entertainment and that is it.

    • @patrickmunneke8348
