Inflation hits people a lot harder than a crashing stock or housing market as it directly affects people's cost of living that people immediately feel the impact of. It's not surprising negative market sentiment is so high now. We really need help to survive in this Economy. The fin-Market;s have underperformed the U.S. economy as fear of inflation hammers the prices of stock;s and bonds. There are many reasons for this drop in value. One of the main reasons is that there is an ongoing debate about whether or not Bitcoin should be regulated as a security or as a currency.
I would advice you to trade your assets rather than hodl for a future you aren't sure about, only predictions.

@@beverly8480 If you are not conversant with the markets, I'd advise you to get some kind of advise or assistance from a financial/investing coach. It might sound basic or generic, but getting in touch with an investment broker was how I was able to outperform the market and raise a profit of $2.5M For me, its the most ideal way to jump into the market these days

If you are not in the financial market space right now, you are making a huge mistake. I understand that it could be due to ignorance, but if you want to make your money work for you, prevent inflation from eroding your savings, build generational wealth, and cultivate good habits and financial knowledge, you must be in the market.
People believe their currency has the worth it does because they have no other option. Even in a hyperinflationary environment, individuals must continue to use their hyperinflationary currency since they likely have minimum access to other currencies or gold/silver coins.

The earnings will tell everything. I believe the market will hover around this area for a while. Earnings will tell us if we are heading to 3000 or going back up. Democrats better do something or there mid term run is doomed.
There is nothing the democrats could do (or anybody for that matter) to move the needle enough between now and November. Inflation and 3rd quarter earnings are what they are. The politicians have less influence over the economy in the short term than people give them credit for.
Why are you wasting your time thinking about politics? Vote for those you think will make your life better or what is good. If you mention a political party, you are a shill and cannon fodder at the same time. I prefer that the market crashes, because everyone should always have enough cash for emergencies and you can buy what you want at lower levels. If you want to make money safely, then just by treasuries and i bonds that are currently giving 9.62% interest.

I want to hear from some older analysts that were active when interest rates were double digits, inflation was high, etc. These situations are foreign to the 40y.o. group.

So he thought we were going to crack to the downside and we popped up huge. This guy is a useful as a tarot card reader.
Just don't trade anything this week and hold. There is going to be a huge evaluation on everything because of energy. UK just signed a 20yr contract with US, who all going to follow the same and does the US has the capacity for the required shipment, will they be able to sustain the energy needed at home and all the questions is going to be re-evaluated.

Charts are not the real story, only an illusion. Years ago, I watched Carter as he read the chart of a particular stock and predicted it would go much higher. It was a good company with a good product. Shortly after I bought the stock, world conditions changed, the demand for the company's product dropped. The stock tanked. No one had seen the changing conditions coming, they were not in the charts. My point is that charts can give a false sense that future stock value can be predicted. Which it can't be, because world conditions are the factors that determine stock value.
Literally everyone knows this.

Im kinda new to trading and confused and ive looked and researched and more confused. So i thought bond market had inverse relationship with stocks but looking at t-bonds it doesn't. Can someone more knowledgeable in this area explain which correlates to which and how the t bond and other bonds that have a inverse equity relationship differ? I hope i made sense lol thanks!
Rates up bonds down, rates down bonds up. Important to understand that. Right now rates are rising aggressively so bonds are going down. That typically inverse relationship occurs for two reason, a flight to safety and and expectation being priced in to bonds that if the economy suffers then rates will lower and bond prices will increase. Currently the global economy is faltering, rates are rising, and we have inflation. This is about the worst outcome for stocks and bonds and in this environment neither is safe so they will be more correlated. The uncorrelated asset in this case under these conditions is commodities and unfortunately cash

The market has to crash to save most of the people that have below 50k incomes, because from my view point in the last 5 years a ton of consumer goods and services have doubled in price which means on an annual basis the inflation rate isn't 8%, the real rate is around 20%, which is exactly why interest rate hikes must be done now and as fast as possible to stop inflation. I'm sorry to say that if you have a million dollars around 2015, the purchasing power of that amount of cash is less than half it was now because of inflation. This means that people trying to retire or in that part of their lives will have a spectacularly difficult time trying to survive if inflations continues. Inflation makes retiring with any amount of cash impossible because your money becomes worthless much faster.

@@shdmd2118 actually, we tested in 1957, and during high inflation of the 70s, we were about to fall off a cliff. We confirmed out of that range 1985-1986 we broke out of that "depression" range.
We never back tested pre-financial crisis high BUT we sat and played with the 2000 highs during 2014-2015. Even at the depths of 2008, we never got a retest of the 1970s inflation crises.
I'm just charting out we never retested 2100s on SPY. THAT will be the generational bottom. That is the dip to buy. You're right, we're not swinging with 0% anymore.
