I fell in love with the man - Jimmy Stewart because of his true self. He is the perfect human being for me. I only wish I lived in his lifetime. Wonderful to reflect on this hero
She's so down to earth! Just theway I imagined Jimmy Stewart's children would be! I can imagine hanging out with her without once thinking about who her dad was. That's a huge compliment to her parents.
Her dad was not only a great actor and great American but he joined the service while he was an actor and had made movies and became a Brig. General. It's so good to see one of his children and to hear her talk about her dad's career.
Since I was about 10 years old .. this was a Christmas favorite in my life … even though I missed a few times .. it is a real classic to me too . This coming December I still make a plan to watch it again . I’m 72 now .. as long as God places breath in my lungs .. it is story of a family having financial difficulties .. and just when it seems like hope is gone .. somebody reaches out and asks for help .. and help does come !!
I always thought what a terrific father James Stewart would be, but celebrities seldom live up to their public personna - so glad to hear James Stewart did - what a lucky lady!
Our family had such respect for James Stewart on so many levels. Its a priveledge to hear his daughter share. We thank her for doing so. Our esteem is greater now than ever for Mr. Stewart.
Jimmy Stewart my favorite actor of all time…I had the pleasure of driving to his home town of Indiana Pa. to visit the Jimmy Stewart museum…A5 hour drive one way from Philadelphia Pa. lol did this a couple of times but very much worth the trip…peace.
We spent an entire day at his museum. Been to several Presidents museums, only stayed a few hours. Jimmy Stewart, well just love him, Veteran, actor, and good neighbor and person
I had the great good fortune to meet Jimmy Stewart twice in the 1980s. He was a real person with no affectations. He was introduced to me and seemed actually happy to meet me (and I wasn't anybody special for him), I remember it all very fondly.
Love the movie, watched it last night. Loved the interview learning move about Jimmy Stewart. One of the greatest actors ever! They just don't make them like that anymore. What a shame....
Wow, your father is proud to have a daughter like you! I watch the Wonderful life every Christmas and I’m still mad that he couldn’t go see the world 😢 thank God for the George Baileys of the world❤
Hi Kelly, I recently had the pleasure of seeing you with your sister and your mother and father on an old rerun of Password. You could just feel the love that your father had for you two girls. He was a tremendous person. I only saw it two weeks ago for the first time. I'm about 10 years younger than you and your sister. But it reminded me of those days back in that time when people were really good and that was your family. "It's a Wonderful Life" is one of my favorite movies that he did but then again he did so many that I really liked including, "Rear Window." I'm tall like your dad was. So there have been times when I compare myself to your dad and people laugh because they see some kind of similarity I imagine. Anyway, I hope somehow that you were able to see my message here because I thought about you girls now and I'm glad to see that you appear to be doing so well. Take care.
Such a wonderful movie:). I watch it every Christmas. Sets the tone to be thankful for all life lessons as Blessings! Great writing, story, and heart warming acting. It's just a beautiful movie overall:).
Almost all the reactors I've watched who had never seen this film and were skeptical as so many had told them to watch it, by the end they are crying like the rest of us and transformed. I first saw it with my brother around 1977, it was on at midnight or 1am and wasn't known by anyone. By the end of the movie we both thought it one of the best movie's we'd seen and it still is.
Jimmy Stewart was one of my favorite actors next to John Wayne. The movie it's a wonderful life is my favorite I watch it every Christmas Eve since I was a little boy. Now my kids are all grown up and they watch it and hope they pass it down to there kids someday. Your father was loved by his fans .My God-bless you and your family & father .. I have one question if you ever see this. The picture thats in Mary's house of George Bailey Lassowing the moon is it still around just wondering ...
Go look up General Stewart's war record. He flew 20 combat missions! and was awarded the distinguish flying cross and the air metal. he retired as a brigadier general.🤯 All the characters he played in movies, couldn't hold a candle to the real life of Jimmy Stewart🫡
This movie is one of my Christmas favorites. But according to a press interview Jimmy Stewart gave in the 1950s he said it was not his favorite movie. But after it became a cult favorite, his public statements changed. Capra got a lot of criticism in the 1940s from people connected with the movie because he didn't enter it in the Academy Award competition. He later said he didn't realize he was supposed to join the Academy in order for it to be considered. That was a hard lesson learned.
Even if had been eligible for an AA, I'm not sure it would have done well. It was considered a bomb back in the day, too downbeat and all that, but over time and many viewings, we look at it far differently today.
I despise most actors especially when it seems like they're rotten people in real life. Jimmy Stewart is probably the only "star" I admire or would have wanted to know. He was truly a great man.
The bar scene is such a dark scene for Jimmy Stewart. The despair is so palpable and the anger/lashing out is hard to watch at times when he is home after finding out the money is missing.
Glad to see Jimmy Stewart’s daughter! We Loved Jimmy Stewart! My family and I love this movie and enjoy it every year! He will never be forgotten. I felt that his decision not to change his pacemaker’s battery lead to his death the next year. However I’m sure he did not want to go on after his wife’s death. RIP💔
Just watched the movie again after many, many years and was reminded that "things never change". It's amazing that the history of mankind has always pitted the rich, greedy, powerful and evil against those who just want to help their fellow man and do the right thing. Potter would be very successful in today's Republican Party and today's Republicans would despise George Bailey and everything he stood for.
SOME people have no friends. But JESUS is the Friend that sticks closer than a brother! We are NEVER alone when we love JESUS! St John 3:16! 💞 "And, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen." Matthew 28:20b! 🙏🙌💞
If they had a Wonderful life today, he doesn’t make any sacrifices until the pandemic happens. The younger people trying to make their parents, grand parents survive the pandemic. I know a young man lost both parents due to COVID pandemic. He now lives with his grandparents.
The message in "It's a Wonderful Life"... is "HOPE." Through people caring, in a communal setting... "HOPE" was realized in and by "GEORGE BAILEY." I think the message in this film saved "Jimmy Stewart" from more severe emotional experiences as a result of losing his men in war. Though people gravitate toward this film every year... its message doesn't carry any further than the holidays. Yes... we are VERY divided as a nation, in a multitude of ways. AND "the man" wants it that way. Think about just HOLLYWOOD itself. How many of the A-LISTERS do anything to help resolve the homeless issue in downtown LA or "SKID ROW?" NOT a one. Multimillionaires who make their money from John Q. Public, living up in the hills, ONLY think of themselves. And it won't change. This woman looks good for her age. But I imagine... she hasn't had a very difficult life, either.
Please contact me ..I served with Ron in Quantico OCS A Co Corpsman 2967-68..wrote to your dad snd family when I learned of Rons passing in 1969..so long ago..
My Mother was raised in Indiana P.A. by her grandparents. Her grandfather was friends with Jimmy Stewart's father & they used to go regularly to his hardware store. My Mom was about 20 years younger than Jimmy & was supposed to get to meet him (as a teenager) during one of his visits home with his family...she was So excited. For some reason, he was not able to make the visit but, wrote her a nice letter instead. When I asked about the letter, Mom said she'd thrown it away when she got married...she thought you were supposed to. 😥 A few years after getting married my parents changed our last name from "Sokulski" to "Stewart". When I was an adult & my Mom told me these stories, I said..."Oh, you changed our name to "Stewart" because of Jimmy Stewart...which she adamantly denied.😊. Years later, when I was staying with my Mom when she was eighty, she again was talking about almost getting to meet him. This time I kindly said..."Mom, you know you picked "Stewart" because of Jimmy Stewart. She smiled shyly & said..."Well, maybe". 🩷 Our whole family enjoyed his movies & his upstanding character as I grew up & beyond. How nice to hear from one of his daughters that he was indeed the wonderful man/father he portrayed.🥰
Jimmy Stewart can never be replaced.. When we lost him, it was like losing an old friend. RIP 😪💔
and what a lovely daughter/woman. but George Bailey did not cross the aisle he stuck to principles.
Sooo true! He was an authentic , wonderful person!
God bless her. You can tell she is a kind, generous, graceful human being. Just like her dad was. Best wishes to her and her family..
So nice to see you speak of your father. No one can compare.

Her smile is her dad's smile. :)

Jimmy Stewart deserves the Medal of Honor. He was an action hero both in movies and in real life.
Love the movie, watched it last night. Loved the interview learning move about Jimmy Stewart. One of the greatest actors ever! They just don't make them like that anymore. What a shame....

Great interview, I have always loved Jimmy Stewart
Jimmy Stewart - my favorite actor.
Mine, too!

Priceless!
Jimmy, you'll always be the one... ✨️🙏🏻✨️❤️
I smiled every time she calls him " dad". Lucky lady. 🫠
A great picture! I love the movie!!
She looks like her father.
I'm thinking she reminds me of her mom. Gloria. Not only in looks but personality too.
He lives on, he lives on
The book about Jimmy Stewart, “Mission”, is a great book to read. What a great man and the polar opposite of what we see in Hollywood today.
Fascinating lady!
Just love him.

I liked him in Mr. Smith Goes to Washington. He should have gotten Oscars for that and Wonderful Life.
