I truly enjoyed this video. Just sitting here smiling that you DIDN'T film for five days. Smiling when you tapped into that life giving water, and for that water to be good and sweet....oh yeah....The pleasures of being out in the woods - simple shelter, water, good food, and if you're lucky, someone to share that with. “There is a pleasure in the pathless woods, There is a rapture on the lonely shore, There is society, where none intrudes, By the deep Sea, and music in its roar: I love not Man the less, but Nature more, From these our interviews, in which I steal From all I may be, or have been before, To mingle with the Universe, and feel What I can ne’er express, yet cannot all conceal.” Lord Byron God bless.
I love that you guys discovered the U.P of Michigan, one of my favorite places on earth to chill out. I think you guys are near the bridge area also, even better
I’m a 51 year old Indiana woman and I love love camping. Watching both of your channels makes me want to get back out camping. One day I will. Currently taking care of my mom. Don’t have many years left. Girl your energy is so fun to watch. I’m glad I found your channel. I’m living through you right now. God bless you both and have a better day today than you had yesterday!
@@therealgirlinthewoods the great part about taking care of my mom is I finally am slowing down to get to know her and giving myself time to be me. I have a great husband like your hubby. We have two daughters in their twenties. Out youngest graduated in 2019 and is working for my sister in a huge lab working for women’s health. My oldest is autistic. Took our girls ever since they were little camping every summer. I wasn’t that big on glamper, I’m a camper. Would love to one day have a wall tent. You’re giving me a reason to go camping one soon.
So thankful the two of you got some alone time! Even though very hard work was involved, You set such a good example for all of us! Love that God gave the both of you the vision to buy the land, and preserve His Creation! Always encouraged after watching your Vlogs. Blessings! 🙏🤗🙏❤️
Yes you folks are awesome, a lots of people are turning to camping out and your videos are very important and inspiring to lead in the right direction 😀awesome 👌thanks for your support.
Brooke and Dave, have I told you lately how much I love you guys? Thank you for all that you do and share like this because I've learned a lot from watching your channels. Blessings to both of you!
Yess! Awesome work! Your property looks beautiful! 🌄🌲 And you're totally right, sometimes you just need to be in the moment. Be in nature and with those who love you. ⭐
Watching you two work together reminds me of my wife and I working together. Nothing brings me more joy than creating something amazing with her. I love your inspirational videos!
My uncle had a wild property in northern Michigan that I loved to explore as a child. We cleared trails with a machete and found a beautiful stream and waterfall. I'm so happy it's still unspoiled up there. Thanks for the memories.
Glad to see u too have some alone time Dave and Brooke, u have created your own piece of serenity. Thanks or sharing the knowledge of the oil an pipe cleaning before installing a well,u both enjoy.
I am LOVING the happiness this new property brings you! Great job you two have done so far! Can't believe you already have a well. Did you know that your dear husband assembled that well pump on the hood of his car!!!???? I gave him grief about it too! Lol! I was freaking out over here going....WHAT ARE U DOING!!???😲😲😲😲 Can't wait to explore across the river with you!!! Glad you guys took some downtime. Esty
Taking a break, and resting is good stuff. I keep finding out how hard it is to work a manual labor job 5 days a week at age 63. Thank you Lord for this arm rest. Breathing - always in the moment. Bless
Love watching you guys.....I wrote you earlier how you inspired me to buy a wall tent from the wall tent shop that I picked up here in Idaho. My niece and I went in on 20 acres next to the lake and set up the wall tent. We ordered the fly 8' longer than the tent as a porch. Anyway, I had the most amazing experience when I was up there one day. It was sunny about 70 degrees, I was sitting at the picnic table basking in the beauty of the moment and to my left I heard some rustling in the bushes. I look over and out pops a cougar within 10' of me bounding in my direction. It then saw me and took off sideways back into the trees and brush again. I do pack a pistol, but thankfully I didn't need it. I said a prayer to the cougar letting it know I come in peace and that I'm not food. lol Thanks again for all your sharings. Many blessings to you both.
Love this life! I'm so glad you and Dave video your experiences. My first husband and I had this life raising our 4 kids. He has been gone over 6 years but your videos help me relive these experiences. LOL no cell phones or affordable video cameras in the 1970's. We lived 10 years in the U.P., western side. There were too many rock ledges over there for home driven wells. We did all our well driving in Mecosta county. We did tail gate cooking before it was popular. He built me a two burner propane stove. We spent many nights at our 16 acre property with me cooking goulash, chili or stew for supper before going back to our house for the night.
My husband and I are doing the same! Taking my barn down, hauling it to our offgrid property and building it back up along with our shower. We just put our two weeks notice in here in Florida.
@@herelieskittythomas3726 Good deal! You don't realize how important that shower is until you have to go a week without one. I'd encourage you to watch Dave's shower house video. A wealth of info there.
I have about 4 different shower water system designs. Starting with a pump up pressure tank. The 3 gallon tank gives a decent shower. The next level uses a 5 gallon beverage water cooler tank connected to an RV pump which then goes through the on demand water heater. That one is okay but it can be best with my favorite model. This one uses a 15 gallon sprayer tank instead of the 5 gallon cooler tank. The great thing about using the RV pump is the pressure switch that turns the pump off when the valve is closed.
@@RogueOntheRoad the pump I purchased does that to. It pumps when I open the ball valve, and kinda 'idles' when the valve is closed. I used plenty of Teflon tape when assembling the plumbing. If the joints leak, then the pumps going to activate
Good ... For ... You! Yes!! Finding peace and quiet seems like a challenge with (between you both) more than half-a-million sets of eyes looking on :) Appreciate you both ... glad you're taking time to appreciate your accomplishments. Enjoy, God Bless, and see you down the road :)
