As both an lgbt person and a member of a working class family this movie touches me in a way most cannot. Two groups that were so mistreated then, and are still mistreated now. It's such an important film, I wish the story of LGSM was told more.
My father was a miner in the Swansea Valley at this time. This film is a very moving testament to how bridges can be build. How ironic that Margaret Thatcher gathered together these communities which ultimately meant a support for equality- for all the people which she and her goverment stood against.
the director of this film was able to create and capture moments using facial expressions of the characters like I've never seen done. Effing brilliant, tells a good part of the story and sooo entertaining.
When I first watched this film I loved it so much much I decided to watch it again the next day and I am not ashamed to say that I am in love with it, its inspiring, its a true story which makes it interesting and its a comedy which is just a roller coaster of emotions
moved? happy? inspiring? Oh yes i definatley felt all of them after watching this film. fan-bloody-tastic! people need to watch it who havent already done so
Brilliant film, based on a true story. I've watched it several times and I love it. Mark is my favourite character - full of life, inspiration, wit and energy. The others are fantastic too - what a thoroughly decent group of human beings the LGSM were 🙂
Bravo à tous ceux qui ont ouvert la Voie de la reconnaissance des droits des LGBTQ+, bravo pour leur courage, leur détermination, et leur indéfectible persévérance 👍❤️✌️👏
This was one of the most life affirming films I have ever seen.
Absolutely. I will NEVER forget seeing this film for the first time...

Ben Schnetzer's accent was spot on. I absolutely couldn't believe he's American at first.
This movie makes me laugh, cry and cheer. It's extraordinary. Solidarity Forever!
