The throw to the ground only works if he, for some reason, stays rooted in the same spot. If he steps in, he can just ride the movement and won't fall down and might take your back if he knows anything about grappling. Also, like somebody else already pointed out, most people will not grab you with a supinated grip, which may make it hard to force down the arm, especially if he's stronger than you.
As much as I love KM being a former KM Instructor myself, as much I hate these lapel grab techniques. Against a „real“ means NON COMPLIANT attacker you need lots of distraction to make it work. The opponent has a reaction time and after that very short amount of time he WILL react to your actions. To beat this you have to be quick and accurate and even then you have to be ready to give up the technique and to switch to fight mode anytime.
Simple and effective. No fancy things. Very good!

Nice sir
Awesome
The problem with this is. nobody will grab you with bicep facing upwards, they will grab you with the bicep at 90 degress
What if you cannot bend the attackers arm?Maybe he is strong?

Before you see it, you`ll get smashed by the attacker`s right hand. What a useless technique.
