  • Why did Premier Danielle Smith appoint her one-time nemesis Alison Redford to the board of Invest Alberta? How is Calgary's water main disaster impacting how she'll approach the province's infrastructure deficit? Is Alberta even ready for a population boom...and if not, why not? Why is Premier Smith allowing her party to host a post-pandemic anti-vax event? And what's her response to MLA Shannon Phillips resignation, citing right-wing abuse and lies?
We ask all of these questions and more in an exclusive with Premier Danielle Smith on this episode of Real Talk.

Why are we, in Alberta, supporting a 70% wage subsidy for migrants?!!! Do we not do enough for illegal immigrants? We aren't doing this for our homeless, our own citizens but we have so many jobs available that we can use OUR tax dollars to subsidize 70% for newcomers?!!!! Why would corporations hire Albertans when our own government will pay 70% of the paychecks for people who have contributed NOTHING!?!!!!

I'll say this about Allison Redford .If you hire Allison Redford for any government appointment, you can kiss my support and my vote goodbye 👋.And to add to this topic, why can't Allison Redford find employment in BC with the growing Conservative party ?🤔🤔.
I mean why not ? She has excellent credentials and knowledge in corrupt behavior so much so that she'd be a shoe in candidate to wrestle with those druggies in BC .
I strongly suggest that you Danielle Smith take some time to actually think about this move you've made in hiring her to a position that deals with financial aid .
REALLY? What ...so Allison Redford can finally get her daughter the suite she promised her??
Who's next on your list of second chances ?
    Steven Guibeauit ?
Grow up and smell the coffee .
1 bad mistake from Allison Redford is enough but giving her another opportunity to screw up again will cost you the leadership of the UCP.

Alberta has the highest rate of inflation in Canada, the highest power prices in Canada, because of Ralph Klein's deregulation of electricity, TransAlta manipulating power prices, and economic witholding from the UCP, the highest rental increases in Canada, in Edmonton and in Calgary, the highest rate of food bank usage in Canada, and the highest rate of unemployment in Western Canada. Alberta’s public education system is in desperate need of reform. Unfortunately, our students are not graduating with the skills or resilience that they need to excel in the real world. All of the focus that has been given to educating students on social justice issues has detracted from foundational academics. I read through the new social studies curriculum and think it is a huge improvement from what our kids are currently learning in the classroom. Now, if we could only eliminate cellphones from classrooms, we might start to see engagement, knowledge retention, and creativity increase. Our kids deserve better!

You are mistaken on things. The UCP blew money on one sided panels and committees, which are stacked with their Conservative friends, hired 20, or more of their Conservative friends for pointless positions, which pay in between $100,000 per year to $250,000 per year, hired many more staff for their MLAs, at a great cost to Albertans, including Danielle Smith's staff of 34, and created the largest provincial cabinet in Alberta's history, with 34 cabinet ministers and associate ministers. The UCP have the most bulkiest provincial government in Alberta's history.
When Danielle Smith was the Wildrose party leader, she criticized Alison Redford for her cabinet size, which was way smaller than what Danielle Smith now has, as the premier of Alberta.

    • @dwaynewladyka577
      @dwaynewladyka577 13 дней назад

Danielle Smilth has done many very costly, on top of the well over $80 billion in very costly debacles and mistakes that the UCP already done.
Blew billions of dollars on various voter bribery schemes, including making Albertans pay $1.2 billion for the new hockey arena for Calgary, which Danielle Smith originally opposed, when she was the Wildrose party leader, and as a radio talk show host, because she said it didn't make economic sense, blew around $1.5 billion on the gas tax holiday vote buying scheme, and so on. Blew $80 million on Turkish Tylenol. Is blowing $20 billion on the R-Star debacle. Blew around $100 million on the DynaLife debacle, which the UCP caused. Blew money on propaganda ads of various types. Blew $253,000 and $2 million on Preston Manning to produce a covid report that is junk. Did nothing to stop power companies in Alberta from holding back the power, which increased power prices in Alberta exponentially, which is known as economic witholding, which has cost Albertans well over $100 billion, since June of 2020. Blew money on a pointless excursion to Dubai. Hired many more staff for UCP MLAs, at a great cost to Albertans, including Danielle Smith's staff of 34. Created the largest provincial cabinet in Alberta's history, with 34 cabinet ministers and associate ministers. Is blowing money on carbon sequestration, which Danielle Smith originally opposed, because she said it was very costly, and unproven technology. Has more coal mining companies suing the UCP for $10.8 billion, for breaking contract agreements. Is blowing money on an office in Ottawa, which will have no practical purpose. Is blowing $2 million and added costs on someone to produce another pandemic management report for Alberta. Is blowing money on a study to see how feasible a high speed rail system is for Alberta.
      How is this awesome?
When Danielle Smith was the Wildrose party leader, she opposed the government giving corporate welfare grants.
Danielle Smith is doing the exact opposite, as premier of Alberta.
      This isn't awesome.

    • @dwaynewladyka577
      @dwaynewladyka577 13 дней назад

Danielle Smith and the UCP aren't a Conservative government at all.
The only good and sensible Conservative premier in Alberta was Peter Lougheed. There were absolutely no others at all.
Peter Lougheed also didn't trust Danielle Smith, and neither did his cabinet ministers, such as Jim Foster, because Danielle Smith is so dishonest. Former Conservative politicians in Alberta have said that they don't trust Danielle Smith and the UCP because they are so dishonest. They are correct.
Danielle Smith angers constituents, contradicts herself, tells so many lies, flip flops, backtracks and does very costly debacles. There is nothing awesome about that.
Danielle Smith didn't last long as the Wildrose party leader, because of what she said and did wrong.
Danielle Smith won't complete a full term as premier of Alberta.
The UCP have only carried on with the fiscal ineptitude and poor planning that the Alberta PCs did, ever since Don Getty was premier of Alberta. So far, the UCP have made well well over $80 billion in very costly debacles and mistakes, and the UCP have also given Alberta a mammoth debt that is now nearly $140 billion.
The UCP have also treated the vulnerable, seniors, medical professionals, teachers, rural property owners, the environment, and democracy in Alberta with disdain.
I'm originally from a very large farm in Alberta. The UCP have done nothing to benefit rural Albertans, and rural municipal leaders also don't agree with what Danielle Smith and the UCP are doing.
The UCP also hasn't done anything to help urban Albertans.
Danielle Smith and the UCP have done absolutely nothing to benefit urban Albertans either.
If Albertans favour lies, undemocratic behavior, with bad bills, such, as with Bill 8, Bill 10, Bill 11, Bill 18, Bill 20, and Bill 21, the largest wastes of money, on the most costliest debacles, putting people's lives at risk, disregarding environmental concerns, treating the vulnerable, seniors, medical professionals, teachers, students, and all Albertans with disdain, the UCP are perfect for that.
Conservative governments in Canada haven't existed since 1990. There is absolutely nothing Conservative about the UCP.

It was because I did not believe in fear but love, compassion, caring, respect and honouring students' potential as individuals so that THEY could evolve into who they are rather than the constructive and will eventually lead to tyranny and treasonous behavior by certain politicians. Danielle Smith isn't a great leader. What has she done that makes her a great leader?
Danielle Smith angers constituents, contradicts herself, tells so many lies, flip flops, backtracks, and does very costly debacles.
As the premier of Alberta, Danielle Smith has done many very costly debacles and mistakes, on top of the well over $80 billion in very costly debacles and mistakes that the UCP have already done.
Blew billions of dollars on various voter bribery schemes, making Albertans pay $1.2 billion for the new hockey arena for Calgary, which Danielle Smith originally opposed, when she was the Wildrose party leader, and a radio talk show host, blew around $1.5 billion on the gas tax holiday vote buying scheme, and so on. Blew $80 million on Turkish Tylenol. Is blowing $20 billion on the R-Star debacle. Blew around $100 million on the DynaLife debacle, which the UCP caused. Blew money on propaganda ads of various types. Blew $253,000, and $2 million on Preston Manning to produce a covid report that is junk. Did nothing to stop power companies in Alberta from holding back the power, which increased power prices in Alberta exponentially, which is known as economic witholding, which has cost Albertans well over $100 billion, since June of 2020. The UCP hired many more staff for the UCP MLAs, at a great cost to Albertans, including Danielle Smith's staff of 34. The UCP created the largest provincial cabinet in Alberta's history, with 34 cabinet ministers, and associate ministers. Blew money on a pointless excursion to Dubai. Hired many more Conservative crony friends of the UCP to help restructure AHS, in a circle game move, which will solve nothing. Is blowing money on carbon sequestration, which Danielle Smith originally opposed, because she said it was very costly and unproven technology. Has more coal mining companies suing the UCP for $10.8 billion for breaking contract agreements. Is blowing money on an office in Ottawa, which will have no practical purpose. Is blowing $2 million and added costs on someone to produce another pandemic management report for Alberta. Is blowing money on a study to see how feasible a high speed rail system for Alberta will be.
This isn't being a great leader.

@@lmtadaLet's see what happened. Danielle Smith was the Wildrose party leader, and she made the Wildrose party get defeated to Alison Redford and the Alberta PCs, in 2012. In 2015, Danielle Smith got defeated in her own riding.
Naheed Nenshi has known Danielle Smith for over 30 years, and he knows that Danielle Smith is very dishonest. He'll easily defeat her in any leadership debate.
That's because Danielle Smith is a proven chronic liar, and she can't keep doing that.
One of the reasons why Danielle Smith got defeated in her own riding in 2015, was voters knew she was a liar.
Danielle Smith lied to get her and the UCP re-elected in 2023, but she won't be able to to that anymore.

    • @dwaynewladyka577
      @dwaynewladyka577 13 дней назад +2

Danielle Smith isn't a great leader at all.
Danielle Smith refused to have by-elections in vacant ridings, which lacked an MLA, but she chose to run in the riding of Brooks Medicine Hat, where a UCP MLA, Michaela Frey, stepped down, without completing her term as an MLA, just so Danielle Smith could run there. Danielle Smith gave Michaela Frey a well paying, pointless position in return.
Alberta has the lowest amount of Legislature sittings of any provincial or territorial government in Canada, and Danielle Smith reduced them even more. In 2023, the Alberta Legislature had only 5 weeks of sessions.
Danielle Smith and the UCP wouldn't put very unpopular items on the provincial election agenda in Alberta, in 2023, such as the Alberta Provincial Pension Plan, the Alberta Provincial Police Force, which rural municipal leaders in Alberta oppose, because they say it will cost at least $1 billion, open pit coal mining in the Rockies of Alberta, which most Albertans oppose, because of permanent to the mountains, and selenium contamination in the water, and so on.
Danielle Smith created undemocratic bills, such as Bill 8, Bill 10, Bill 11, Bill 18, Bill 20, and Bill 21.
As the premier of Alberta, Danielle Smith was caught breaking conflict of interest and ethics laws. That's why Danielle Smith and the UCP created Bill 8.
Bill 8 changes the gift limit amounts MLAs in Alberta can receive, which opens the door for MLAs in Alberta to accept bribes, and this bill also prevents the Alberta Ethics Commissioner from investigating MLAs who are involved with unethical conduct, before a provincial election in Alberta, which makes it so that the MLAs can run in the provincial elections.
Danielle Smith and the UCP stalled on taking action on the E-Coli crisis at the daycares in Alberta, which was caused by the UCP's cutting of red tape, which made hundreds of children get sick from getting E-Coli at these daycares.
Danielle Smith and the UCP were negligent with the tailings pond leaks in northern Alberta, and the First Nations communities are suing the UCP and the AER for this.
There are still issues with public healthcare, public education in Alberta, the vulnerable, seniors, and other matters, which Danielle Smith and the UCP are doing nothing about.
Former Conservative politicians in Alberta have said that they don't trust Danielle Smith and the UCP, because they are so dishonest. They are correct.
What did Danielle Smith do as the premier of Alberta that is so great?
      The answer is nothing.

The Conservatives in Alberta wasted and lost exponential amounts of money on the most costliest debacles repeatedly, ever since Peter Lougheed was no longer premier of Alberta.
Since 1986, the Alberta PCs failed to properly top up the Heritage Savings Trust Fund, and were using it as their own personal piggy bank. The Alberta PCs lost Alberta $575 billion, after they permanently altered Peter Lougheed's oil royalty rate structure. In the early 1990s, the Alberta PCs gave away Alberta's oil and most of the subsequent profits to foreign owned entities, leaving Alberta with crumbs. In the early 1990s, the Alberta PCs failed to properly come after oil companies in Alberta to remediate their messes, leaving with a mammoth bill of $260 billion to deal with this. The bad tax policies of the Alberta PCs lost Alberta $150 billion in added revenue.
Since the early 1990s, the Alberta PCs did around $100 billion in many other very costly debacles.
Alpac, Novatel, metal smelting plants, pulp and paper mills, like Daishowa and Miller West Pulp, Swan Hills, trying to salvage a sinking shopping mall (West Edmonton Mall), on a failed farmer's aid fund, on a disability payment debacle, on consolidation of paramedic dispatch services in Alberta, the well over $30 billion electricity deregulation debacle in Alberta, the $10 billion R-Star debacle, on carbon sequestration, on luxury sky palaces, on pricey plane flights, which were full of empty seats, blew $35 billion on a bitumen upgrader debacle, a mega billion dollar lawsuit ploy against the tobacco companies, and so on.
Since the early 1990s, the Alberta PCs failed to properly upkeep infrastructure in Alberta, which left Alberta with an infrastructure debt that is now nearly $30 billion, or even more.
      This is what happened.

This premier is the smartest person as a leader in canada. She does not back down when she wants to do something good for Alberta . Thanks the we don't have a N D P goverment we would have higher taxes like BC and Manitoba.
