- Airline: American Airlines
Flight: AA741
Aircraft: Boeing 737-823 (N861NN)
Route: San Francisco (SFO) - Los Angeles (LAX)
Seat: 21A (Economy)
Flight Time: 54 minutes
Departed: 16:02PM PDT - Runway 28L
Arrived: 16:56PM PDT - Runway 24R
Routing: KSFO PORTE3 AVE SADDE6 KLAX
My next flight of my trip to California, aboard N861NN flying AA741 from SFO-LAX. A 737-800 series with only a year in service. Today's service was slightly delayed due to 30 knot winds at SFO.
My first experience with AA and I found it a pleasure. I quite liked the drop down screens telling you anything you didn't want to know rather than having cabin crew do it - feels slightly less intrusive!
Flew the downwind at LAX past Hollywood and Downtown before turning for finals with 24R. Notice the ANZ "All Blacks" 777 when on short finals - a regular at LAX.
Enjoy the video - some fantastic engine start noises!! Авто/Мото
wow, traffic at LAX are just like traffic on the highway: tail to tail! nice video!
Interesting flight, you left in some harsh winds, and arrived in some icky conditions. You captured it nicely though! Good Job!
I love the sleek continuation from landing to taxi 26:30. Bet they felt cool
good vid man
Jesus that line at SFO.
Great video! Thanks for sharing it. You must really enjoy flying. Be well.
Good vid, man! Enjoyed, and 10/10!
Lol half of the time on the aircraft is spent on the ground for taxiing. I know you have cut out some part of the flight but KSFO looks like a busy airport to me :). Thank you for the upload. I really enjoyed watching this video. Cheers
Love your videos!
that was literally the shortest rotation time I've ever seen
Zachary Nascimento I know. They hit 160 really fast
Brilliant videos
Sweet we’ve been to San Francisco also landed their in the air port in San Francisco
I always watch these to learn how to sleep through airplane noises, it works great
Did you know that on FlightAware under the Live Tracking it shows Taxiing and Awaiting Take off as well. When the flight land it shows Taxing to Gate.
Pilots usually exit the runway as soon as possible to shorten the way to the gate. Flaps full allows you to fly slower on final which results in a shorter roll out on the runway.
that was very quick rotation
upload was my birthday :)
Nice video! I have to say though that was one squeeky 737.
Question how did you get ATC usually UA has that chan 9? I think all planes should have the ATC available to them!

This is just my own, opinion, since I left off my lessons right before X-Country training, I for one wish that if you must cut some parts out, do it on the ground, not in the air. I am looking to see when he starts to lower flaps and spoiler and pick out mountain landmarks and that is right where a cut was made. I suppose there are others that are more interested in learning how to get to and from the runway at a new airport, I guess it depends which airport is involved. Very good and one trip I have yet to take, SFO - LAX!
How do you get the atc in the video? And how do you edit it into the video?
I used to work at Birmingham airport in the UK (EGBB) Ryanair would fly 6 flights a day into B'ham from Dublin only 25 minutes away, and although it was usually almost full one way, morning flights could go with barely 20 passengers on board. They also use the 737-800. We also used to work with Air India 777-200 (ex United fleet), during the summer months even this aircraft would regularly fly with only 70 people on board either to Toronto or Delhi. Such a waste of fuel for so few pax.
Great video I Subscribe.
It's a bit hazy in Los Angeles, CA in this flight video.
Great!
of and he took off "really fast" for the same reason. Basicly the wind was 30 knots straight down the runway meaning the there was 30 knots of air already over the wing allowing the pilot to rotate 30 knots faster. thats why aircraft takeoff and land into the wind. minimizes takeoff and landing lengths
Flights with headphone jacks in the armrests allow you to listen to different music channels... and one of which is the ACT chatter, so passengers can listen in.
Does AA have channel 9 atc now I though only united has it
Niiiice!!!!!
I'm surprised the tower didn't tell him to repeat the runway he was cleared to take off on @ 12:34. I've been called out by the tower for a similar response.
Already had 30 knots passing over its wings with that headwind
oh thx!! Its atc to correct u!!!
Can you tell me what model is the plane (the small one) from AA at 31:34 :)
54 minutes from SFO to LAX is a relatively short flight.
what was his cruising altitude?
Lufthansa A380 for SFO to FRA or MUN?
because if they were departing 1L and 1R the aircraft would have had a 30knot crosswind. Didn't you hear the winds from ATC?
United fly a 757-200 on this route!
And I'm also not afraid of any flights. If I see a 757 Aircraft, I can still go on that plane and never cry. Because it doesn't matter which plane will take me to my destination.
Is the wing of the airplane supost to wiggle that much?
nice vid...but how do u keep the camera stable?
It would be funny if the SFO Tower said this: "American 741, there is a man is seat 21A filming the takeoff, can you get a flight attendant to throw him out of the plane."
Except on AA. So how was ATC heard for this flight?
can you record and aer lingus plane taking off since they have routes to sfo
Which plane is more comfortable in seating,,,the Airbus 320 or the Boeing 737? They look very similar on the outside but what about the inside, such as comfort and all-around design? Good video from San Francisco to Los Angeles.
How did you get the ATC?
did u see the 747 when the plane took off???
well done man!!! how did u get the atc???
Good for watch to 27A window by the wings. Very good for watch to video perfect! I
Ask you try want to new FULL FLIGHT To New 3 hours from San Francisco California to Los Angels California done.
were you using liveatc.net
Hi, I need to ask. Where do you get the ATC from?
why do they even make a flight from san francisco to los angeles in the first place its so close
A) he took off really fast!
B) usually Domestic flights take off on runway 1R and 1L. Even 777 if domestic take off on 1R so why is everyone on 28L?
Thanks - will do! Please subscribe and spread the word - plenty more where that came from
Youre videos are very good, Im a keen flyer myself but due to work, study and other commitments I am not able to ne lucky as you. but videos are great good work.
I flew with many airlines such as, British airways, Easyjet, Thomas cook, Thomson, First choice, The old JMC, and virgin atlantic, but by far virgin were the greatest,
who do u rate as the best airline?.
How the hell did you do the flight that fast...
I love planes, but i always feel nervous on them when they first take off, lol, i felt nervous in the video when the p
I
Man... I wish i can read subtitled of ATC say to AA741.. bec i am hearing impaired. Just want to say out there if anybody would willing to add subtitled for ATC say to any aircraft, that would be great for pplz who are interesting in airplane.
Birds take off and land into the wind too.
LOOK AT TAT TRAFFIC THO! 11:00
Havent been in a plane since 2007.
I was expecting more on the ATC during the flight...
could you do rare airlines
?
Yeah, the fly the A380 to SFO from Frankfurt.
Can you make some delta videos?
Yes, it's called wing flex and it is quite normal.
AT-RT, Cat Lover, AT-DP, AT-ACT, Fixture Airlines, Rosette Airways, and Heyy Int'l took off. After that you saw Sprixie Princess, AT-AP, Ness Airlines, Dog Lover, Gear Shift, Dry Bones Transport, Air Isabelle, AT-TE, Varsity Airways, Audubon Birds, and Ringtone Transport.
8:43 The flying elephant.
also did u see the A380 too??? THAT IS THE HUGEST EVER!!!!
Always wondered, what's that squeaking noise?
Me too!
The wings bouncing up and down, I think
Various assorted cabin fixtures squeaking.
Timothy Dudley The engines are coming loose and they have no time for maintenance - getting the passengers to their destination takes priority - have a nice day!
tune into channel 9 if your aircraft has headphones ( if you can listen to music)
Maybe it is a free ticket hehehe! Well it least you get to do something you love!
Yeah what was that squeaky noise?
That is only on United.
How can you hear the atc?
R.E.A. EQ they're shouting *really* load these days.
When the Fligh attendance put me on the plane, If the Flight Attendence Says that im sitting at 15F the the flight attendence will point to the left.
8:52 LUFTHANSA A380 TAKEOFF!!!
just 2 fist size pins hold the wing on a 737...sorry to spoil the show folks.
seems to work though
Darn loose engines. They need their nuts torqued. Don't fret,Airbus vertical stabilizers break off if the rudder pedals are pushed too hard from side to side.
Did the piolot request the flaps to go down?
What kind of dumb ass question is that>
MCOSpotting HD You are required to have the flaps fifty percent extended during takeoff to have a lower stall speed than with flaps fully retracted as well as a better climb rate than with flaps fully extended. Also, less runway space is used when flaps are extended, but a lower maximum speed limit is also there when flaps are extended.
I could do, is that an offer of buying me a ticket? :) I don't make much from my videos at the moment to fund requests so I only film what I fly at the moment.
Not really such a big aircraft the 737, and even so there must have only been 5 or 6 empty seats onboard
The 737 is so much better than the md80.
Takeoff speed for this plane is about 160 kts/300kph 185mph
Airplane fan 900.000 that is total bullshit.
longest taxi i have ever seen
Emirates ftw!!!
Every time I travel by myself, I can go to the bathroom more than once. But when we travel together, I can only go to the bathroom 1 time. If want to go to the bathroom again, I have to wait until the plane lands. If im by myself, Then I wait till everybody is off the plane then the flight attendence get me off the plane to my aunty.
Plane took off***
a very short trip
MUC*
This is not really big some airlines use to use 777s on this route
It's headwind..
its called tail wind not head wind
Could you tell that American Airlines is the best airlines. Because it flies me direct to any city like St. Louis. I would wish I could sit a 15F on the American Airlines Boeing 738-800. Everytime she gets my Itinary for American Airlines, Then I will fly to St. Louis from Miami. I have never ever ever fly to San Fransico since I was there When I was a baby in 2001. I wish we would go to San Fransisco or to L.A(Los Angeles).
Gaaah... that squecking noise is a real ear-rape... anyways: GR8 video! :D
Lax
OK! But...the thing is....Im an actual American VIRITUAL airlines pilot :P
American Airlines doesn't know WD40 exists
