The secret to a successful bowling alley is looking after your league bowlers. They will come rain or shine, snow or wind. Casual bowlers may fill the lanes certain days of the week/end. But those league bowlers, taken care of, are the bread and butter of any bowling centre! Awesome to see everyone having fun. it's what it's all about! Thanks for the content too!! :)
The Buffaloe family also does an awesome job of running programs for grade school and high school youth bowlers to get them into bowling, and for retired seniors to keep them bowling. The are fantastic proprietors.
Grew up bowling youth tournaments and adult tournaments at that center. Owners are first class and center is always well up kept and clean. Glad you all were able to experience that tournament
Thank you guys for coming out. Been waiting on this day since 2017 and I finally got to meet my idols! You guys are amazing! Without your videos, I wouldn’t be the bowler I am today.
If I knew they were gonna be there I would've tried to shoehorn my way into the tournament - alas. Talked to my dad about it, he said that they were great.
I grew up bowling at Buffaloe Lanes in Greensboro North Carolina. It was the best bowling alley. I miss being able to bowl there. Nothing where i'm at now comes close to Buffaloe Lanes. They had such a great youth program.
I won that Thelma Buffaloe Sportsmanship Award Crystal bowling pin in 2010. I’m the 79- year old guy you met on Friday who had the 300 game on Thursday. You guys were awesome.
Bowling has a wonderful quality to it that I've very much appreciated: bowling is a sport that you can be good at almost regardless of age. At my local 14 lane bowling alley we've got a good variety of ages bowling league. We've even got a 93 year old man bowling and even if he's a small bit slow to set up his approach he's still a force to be reckoned with. Last year on the same night we had me, barely over 20, a 30+ woman, and Mr. 93 himself all shooting 200's and that's just the ones I noticed that night.
On my way to Vegas to bowl nationals. If I don’t see you guys there, will definitely see you in Portland Maine at Bayside Bowl. You guys are the reason why I am still bowling and getting better.
Yay. Thanks Buffaloe Lanes and Brad and Kyle!!! Buffaloe Lanes South is our favorite. Shout out to Michael, Ryan, Kristy and Mike. They support the youth bowling and it is a family friendly environment.
Here all weekend and I never even got to meet y’all! Hate I had to miss the tournament but Michael has had nothing but extremely positive things to say about the both of you! Y’all come back soon!
This was awesome to see people having fun and no alcohol just go to prove you do not need alcohol to enjoy yourself way to go the owners of buffalo lanes and great blog Brad and Kyle cheers from Tasmania Australia
Was super cool to meet two people that have tremendously helped me since i have gotten into bowling! It felt surreal talking to them and wish i could have gotten into the video cause i was killing it. Thanks for being apart of the tournament and it super fun and awesome to talk to you guys for a bit.
Hands down.. best B&K vlog so far.. why? well this brought back tons of memories as i bowled many years as a junior bowler at Buffaloe (Cary - use to be South Hills) and Buffaloe South (in Garner) and some at Buffaloe North. True bowling centers.. not like "todays" Entertainment centers that happen to have lanes (which is unfortunately like the house i currently bowl in..).. Buffaloe South had many moments for me.. I bowled with Guppy Troupe in a ProAm.. I coached youth bowlers there.. and have the unique pleasure of tossing a 294 in a City tournament (ball slide down my thumb on downswing.. palmed it flat (screwed up lol) and chopped a 4-count... and so many other memories.. Thanks for the smiles you brought me today.. additionally.. i love the "family" bowling history/ownership.. my family basically grew up in a bowling center.. my dad was bowling and needed a female partner for a Scotch Doubles tournament.. so somebody yelled.. Hey Dorothy .. go be Dewayne's partner.. mom worked behind the concession stand.. and hopped over the bar.. grabbed her gear and bowled with Dad.. they ended up dating and marrying .. my Sis and I grew up in centers bowling.. and it was a GREAT childhood. (sadly Dad passed this past Easter Day 2022.. so this vid hit a soft spot.. Thank you both.. i'm an old guy (57) but you two are absolute favorites of mine.. and would love to run into you at a center one day just to say Hi.. keep up the great work.. and wish you continued success both in business and winning PBA tournaments.. (yes, i watched Kyle win.. and pulled like h#ll for Brad during his run/shot).. thanks again guys.. well done..
Hey guys, I just wanted to thank you for helping with tips for bowling better. Long story short, I bowled my first league game for about 7 years last night with scratch scores of 186, 220 & 213. Many thanks!
One of the many things that make this annual Buffaloe tourney so awesome is getting to meet pros like you two. Great times with lots of folks that just love bowling. Keep up the great vids and best of luck to both of you!
Thanks for coming down to the tournament. Really enjoyed meeting you both. I have been bowling at Buffaloe North for the past 10 years and they have always been top notch in every aspect of the business. Come back to see us soon.
Great video! I love that it shows how fun league bowling can be… especially the non-alcohol message. Really refreshing to see! I hope you guys get to be a part of more of these types of events.
I was watching a tournament on Facebook recently, and the drinkers were screaming and cussing. Billy Welu's bowling alley in Houston had a sign in the grill that said, "No profanity" or "No cussing". Not sure if they sold alcohol, since I don't drink. But the gutters would not pass USBC specs - very shallow, and the ball and pins bounced all over. Obviously a wood track house. That was when every ball was rubber. IIRC, it cost 19 cents plus tax, for an even 20 cents a game, automatic pinsetters included.
Awesome. Glad I was able to meet and greet with you both. Awesome guys. Down to earth. They mingled with the crowd. I’m a subscriber 😀. Brad and Kyle was actually what I saw. JP
Damn! I wish I knew you guys were gonna be in town. I bowl at the Buffaloe centers and they are great centers and very family friendly. I would have loved to come out and meet y'all. Hey Brad, I have a dealership down in Aberdeen that is about 5 minutes from Pinehurst. You don't have to be a member to play on any of their 9 courses. Now, granted, their famous courses are gonna be tougher to play but its not too hard to get on number 7 and thats a good one to play. Expect to pay about $250 for the round plus whatever else you want to buy.
I grew up this center in the 90's as a junior bowler before i went to adult league bowling. Man I miss those days bowling with the McDaniels and becoming friends with them in and out of the bowling center and everyone else back then i met. Cant say enough about the memories i have there. Thank you Frankie for believing in me even though my attitude at times where horrible. The McDaniel family was and is a class act. Eric Leicht
Good to see you guys getting some appearance work👍🏼🇺🇸 people like you guys, they think they could have a beer with you and that a big plus for personal appearance saleability
I can't believe I missed the opportunity to meet you guys with this one! especially when the alley is fifteen minutes away from me! might get there next time the tournament comes around
This is the best vlog ever. Average Joe bowlers that we can relate to. Not even your amateur pros that throw is great. Just every day people like me. Love this vlog
Now this makes more sense on why my league standing sheet didn't come out the Friday after my league on Thursday night. I bowl in a different Buffaloe bowling center. Forgot this tournament was going on this past weekend.
We have 2 leagues here in Beaumont Texas and Port Arthur Texas where were bowling for $5000 for first place in league through sponsorships. Added money to the prize fund helps alot and makes it interesting to bowl for something other than point money at the end
There used to be a dry bowling alley in my area... you brought your own booze in, they put it behind the counter and you had to go ask for it... was weird
As a teenager growing up in SW PA during the '60s there were exactly *zero* bowling alleys that had alcohol. One place had an attached bar, but no alcohol allowed this side of the door. And yeah, back then they were known as "Lanes" or "Bowl." About the only building "Center" rang up with was "Community." ;)
Wow, I bowled for years at Buffaloe Lanes, I've even bowled in that tournament a couple of times. Had to stop due to injury, but dang, never expected to see you two there. Would have loved to meet you two, I just don't pay that much attention to local events... lol. Great to see you at a local event though. Keep up the great bowling (and the vlog!)
The craziest fact is that no liquor sales. I have literally never been in a bowling alley that doesn't sell booze. And I did youth bowling forever...and people would still be drinking at 9am.
I started bowling September 2019 and had a 120 average I started straight bowling switched to reactive then switched again to 2 handed bowling and fast forward to today I'm floating around 170 average, quite regular hitting over 200, personal best game is a 276. so keep at it find your style and best equipment and watch your scores climb 😎💪
Great stuff, fellas! I just happened onto your page and I love it. I'm getting ready to join my first league in 15 years and I'm like a giddy schoolgirl. Lol Keep up the fun and informative content.
It’s been 20 years since “A League Of Ordinary Gentlemen” and I think with all the content you guys shoot, y’all could totally make a new documentary shooting some interviews with your peers, etc. talking about where the sport is at and where it’s going. It would be a great watch.
I'm sure Kyle thanks me for striking, then doesn't put my glorious strike in there! Jk Harold is the man! Wish I would have known he was getting a trophy or I would have been there for that. Another thing about the winning team is one of the guys, Leon switched from left to right less than a year ago! Hope you guys come back. Was awesome having you!
Bowling is great for comradery. League I bowled in for years had blue collar workers and professionals like surgeons, radiologists and other professionals. We had on thing in common: enjoying bowling and each other's company.
wait is this Buffaloe lanes North? If so I did a Pepsi tournament there and did quite well shooting 600 something series. The outside and carpet looked familiar

Bowlero doesn't give a shit
The Buffaloe family also does an awesome job of running programs for grade school and high school youth bowlers to get them into bowling, and for retired seniors to keep them bowling. The are fantastic proprietors.
But the leagues chase away solo guys like me who just want to go in and practice on a lane but can’t because all the lanes are taken up for a league…
@@DavidETaylorComedyChannel What exactly are you 'practicing' for?? A league or a tournie?
You’re telling the whole truth I’ve been working at a bowling alley for awhile now and I definitely see it! They are the heart and soul of it 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Grew up bowling youth tournaments and adult tournaments at that center. Owners are first class and center is always well up kept and clean. Glad you all were able to experience that tournament
so did I
It’s awesome to see no alcohol centers make money and create a good atmosphere
Please come back and visit. Nice meeting you 2... Much success!!
Thank you guys for coming out. Been waiting on this day since 2017 and I finally got to meet my idols! You guys are amazing! Without your videos, I wouldn’t be the bowler I am today.

I gotta rep North, for the short time I've bowled there since I left the Goldsboro alley it's been fun
North Carolina bowling if straight fire! Bowling tournaments almost every weekend and great local leagues!
Here all weekend and I never even got to meet y’all! Hate I had to miss the tournament but Michael has had nothing but extremely positive things to say about the both of you! Y’all come back soon!

It’s nice to see centers actually giving back to the bowlers.

I love bowling centers that give back to their bowling

Seriously, my favorite channel on RUclips. Thanks guys! I wish it were as easy to talk to other bowlers at regionals as you guys were at this event.

I bowl out of Buffaloe Lanes in Mebane, NC! Absolutely love the atmosphere and how much they take care of the lanes!

Thanks for coming out, was great meeting you guys. Hopefully the Buffaloes bring you guys back for another Team Championship or a Junior Gold event.
I’m back to league myself tonight. Thanks for the motivation Brad and Kyle! 👊
Great video! I love that it shows how fun league bowling can be… especially the non-alcohol message. Really refreshing to see! I hope you guys get to be a part of more of these types of events.
I can’t wait for tournaments in my future, being 17-years old and bowling, things will be more fun and competitive.
I have been bowling in the Mebane location for several years and just started bowling league this year. It really is such a great group of people!
One of the best videos you guys have done. Excellent work!

Looks like a fun tournament with people having a good time.
Bowled in all of the Buffaloe centers 2009-2013, they are all ran for bowlers. The Erwin, NC location was a favorite.
Really kool that u guys were a part if this. Need more vlogs!!!! 😁😁😁
O no. Brad roasting the owners wife...."she wasn't any good at all" lol
Glad to see Mel got some camera time, she is one of my favorite people I've met since I started bowling in Raleigh

Great video Thanks guys
i was wondering about this kind of thing. good to know.
I think Brad AND Kyle were checking out the 2 girls at the front desk!! 😂 😂
Reminds me of the old "Extravaganza" league and end-of-the-year tournament.
