0:08 I was completely mesmerized by saint's body tapering to a wispy flowing line as they swam, but then the flash of the voidworm's body came in perfectly synched to the sudden abrupt base, giving such a sense of scale in only a fraction of a second. It caught me completely off guard and it is my favourite part

This was such a fun experience for me to work along side many skilful artist! The results from everyone is just gorgeous and just even more so that everyone managed to produce something in just a month! Amazing work from all the artists, so glad to see it all together! ✨💕

I’ve been working hard in band camp while being sick. This beauty made my day. Do you know how many games would kill to have a dedicated community like this? I hope people who see this play rain world, especially with a friend. This game and this animation is a masterpiece.
alright so hear me out, gold/yellow is the colour representing successful ascension/the void, and blue represents failed or false ascension/echoes. moon's chat colour is gold/yellow, while pebbles' is blue. the rot is also blue, as it is the result of pebbles' failed attempt at "ascension", or at least a substitute for it. originally it would have been a false ascension. this hints that, if pebbles were to have been part of the cycle, an organic creature, he would most likely have become an echo, which was already obvious due to his previous ego that had been around when he was young. mixed together, those colours make green, the colour of the symbol on the "the cycle" achievement - green represents the cycle and rebirth. saint's fur is green.
oh also and nsh's chat colour is green that might have something to do with something

I love the eerie, creepy glitch-type aesthetic, with the sudden movements, matching the music's sudden and almost scary rhythm. Fantastic music choice! You synced it perfectly.

Working on this was so fun especially along with such amazing artists, I was bouncing in my seat to see every wip and finished part and now it's finally going out!! I'm so glad I worked on this project ^^
The fact that this is as well a perfect loop like how it is in the game is amazing

Imagine looking for a way to ascend for lots and LOTS of years but then a fluffy boi comes and t-poses on you causing your death- jokes aside this is both so cool and horrifying

This is my absolute favorite Saint animation!!! I am in love with the styles and segments of all the artists, and kudos to you for the choice of how the visuals matched with the sound! I love how the 'thrum beat' at 0:12 pairs with the arrival of the void worm, and especially the one at 0:22 that represents the presence of an Echo! Not to mention, the accelerating sound and pitch up until Saint reaches ascendance and then reaching the deep beat-- it captures that feeling of Saint's campaign in a way no other animation I've seen has. Kudos to you and all the artists, thank you all!

Saint’s campaign is just depressing. An end to a wonderful story of post civilization collapse and much more. And you must bring the end to it. After all that you have done for the world, what you found out and the love you had to it. You ultimately become it’s end and notice what had happened to the one blooming with life world.

Decided to watch this, but Holy MOONS this is awesome?? Had me on edge the entire time and oh my god the shiver that RAN down my spine With this?? The animators did absolutely awesome?! Love the expressions and the fear that ran through me. Perfect song choice for such a cool story. Thank you North for giving us this masterpiece and thank you to everyone who animated this. It came out absolutely awesome..

Congrats! Out of all the rainworld content only 2 videos have given me chills. And they're both from your channel. This, and KARMA-Artificer. Well done to all the animators who worked on this, the flow to the beat, the feeling of inevitable doom with a hint of mercy, was incredible.

The thing that breaks me is that the main reason Saint shows no emotion is because they have gone through this so many times that they just don't care anymore...

Not saying it isn’t possible for that to be the case, but I think it’s very unlikely that he *only* ascended two of them.

That was haunting
This looks so good! Every single one of the artstyles look amazing, and the artists deserve recognition.
I can't decide which part is my favorite, every moment has something cool going on. Saint with a beard is cool, the shot in front of the Void Worm is cool, the scene of Saint hovering over the ruins of Five Pebbles' can as the music goes all scary is amazing, as is the camera flashing from Moon to show all of the other iterators being ascended. And then we cut to the final scene of what I think is the souls of the iterators falling into the void, one by one, as Saint watches silently from above. You are just left to wonder why. Why is he doing this? Is it a mercy, a beautiful gift? Or is he a murderer, killing out of sadistic pleasure, like Artificer? There's no clear answer, and I think that is what makes it so cool.
I think Saint is doing it because they dream of granting everything a release from the cycle. If they had any malicious intents they would not be able to reach max karma, like Artificer who has to bypass things by using others Karma and is denied Ascension if that route is taken. I think Saint is actually a being that attained Ascension and came back. Which is why at the end after loosing all karma and returning to the work they are not punished like a normal Echo. They can't be. They are beyond it. The fact that Saint can Ascend Iterators, which are machines with some biomechanical bits to them, means basically anything can be Ascended, which leads me to think that Saint is there to guide even the things that will normally never escape the cycle to Ascension. That includes the Void worms who would otherwise be the only beings left when the rest of the world is finally eaten away by the void fluid. Saint is there to bring even them out. It just takes a lot of power to do that. Which is why they loose their karma, which is what gets them knocked out of the void sea. The cycle repeats with Saint building back up in Karma and taking another Void worm out at the end of the loop.
This ominous song fits the Saint campaign so well. Just an ominous sense of power in a desolate land.
Saint might not be _SoS's_ triple affirmative, but there's no reason Saint couldn't be _someone else's._
