- Another pretty damn annoying one, but not as bad as Cold Hard Crash. Most of my failed attempts here ended because I couldn't clear the gaps on the green gem path.
Also, that nitro switch can be very annoying. If you fail to spin a mouse into it, you need to jump on it and that can easily go wrong. Oh yeah, and I forgot one box on one of my "succesful" attempts. Damn, I hate it when that happens. Especially when I have no idea which one it was.

0:56 I always loved how the raining is a lot more intense in the secret gem route. Very fitting.

Ruination is one of my fav levels because of the ambiance. Can't wait to see the remaster!

They certainly ruined the ambiance of this level in N. Sane. It doesn't progress from a light drizzle to heavy downpour anymore.
@@varmakarma9020 The level also looks too polished and clean. It's supposed to be ruins. You need moss green on those structures. I liked the original level design more.

0:42 - When I had this game and played this level for the 1st time, I expected I would smash the crates open. When I saw nitro crates, my reaction was: O.O

I just completed this level today.
Lost 30 of my 45 lives on the gem path, but it was worth it.
Yeah, it suddenly got tricky here in the fourth warp room. None of the levels before Diggin' It were pretty hard. However, the fifth room is easier again. Spaced Out is the only hard level there.
Also, that's pretty weird that you got the gem on Sunset Vista and not the other levels. In most cases, it's the other way around. I used to struggle a lot with Sunset Vista and Slippery Climb, but nailed them both easily this time.
Ah this was my favorite level in the game :D
I also love how you can see the ruined Cortex Castle in the background
Has anyone ever played Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee/Abe's Exoddus?... The rats sound exactly like Scrabs!
Holy crap exactly my thoughts.
This kind of level is like the next step of sunset vista although the levels of the first game were more difficult. I miss that.
When I was a kid , I remember never getting the green gem to access the gem route. Simply, I just slid my way into the path to the right of the checkpoint. Idk how I did it to this day , but I managed to get the gem from the gem route without getting the Green Gem from The Eel Deal.
I love how you plot out your deaths to take you to certain places in the game... It reminds me of Inception.
This level always gives me chills

I always loved this level as a kid. It was always creepy and scary because in the beginning you can hear a guy howling or something. And then it's thunderstorming. Naughty dog did an amazing job. But activsion remastered it good but they ruined some stuff. Like in this level it doesn't rain and you don't even hear the guy howling. That takes away the nostalgia stupid activision
I played this as a kid and recently my teenage son managed to get it for me on my phone! Alot harder to play without controller am stuck on this level at the diagonal moving slates..struggling to activate the slide jump to get over them >< this super helpful though I'll get there eventually lol

its missing the atmosphere of crash 1 lost city level. which is more dark, terrifying and mysteriuos
i completed this game around 10 times with 100% but i never came up with the idea to spin the timbers that the gorillas throw around away :X
there's always something new to learn about this great game that is imo without doubts the best crash game (if not the best game) in history

The Gem Route was freaking annoying, but I managed to complete it at the end. I didn't manage to spin the rat away to hit the Nitro Switch (4:24), but I managed to jump over the switch at the first try! I couldn't beleive it! This must be my lucky day, I remember I lost lots of lives in that point when I was little.
I thought these thunders in the background were for real, since it's cloudy here today :p
Yes, and it also beats every level in Crash 1 and 3.

I didn't know you could spin the mouse into the Nitro switch, I died like 15 times trying to get that switch, I used to cry when I was 6 from failing soo much. Plus, my bro said I sucked, which made me cry even more. Hi! Lol, nice run.
I HATED the thunderstorm in this level. Its purpose is to throw off your timing on jumps. The SFX of the thunder ranges and one loud crackle before you jump will surely make you lose a life.
Ruins are the best levels !
I second that. I have no clue as to where that last one is hiding.

Awsomexsoup123 I did a second run after the comment I've made and I've got 84/84 boxes. sometimes those boxes can be hidden well.
Bed ore he unlocks all the intros there's s a box that let's you jump and if you jump there you get a mask in a hidden box :)

this was one of the most frustrating levels i think, so many times did i fall off those poxy moving and twisting platforms around 4.00 minutes ... grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr :o)
I wanted to see Crash do his little dance at the end :(
Crash Twinsanity is pretty good. I think that the only PS2 Crash game worth playing.
For some reason, last ngiht when I was playing it the part at 2:25 kept giving me problems. Don't know why.

The only thing l hated about this level was all those reinforced boxes at the start of the bonus area, you know when you get stuck between the boxes, and can't jump out, and you had just picked up the green path gem, and your forced to quit the level because you can't move. =,(
Keep getting 83/84. Where is that damn box?!
Some of the box patterns (0:17, 0:40) from Road to Ruin repeat themselves. Except that the friendly and helpful Wumpa crates have been replaced by deadly Nitros. What the hell?

They should've made another ruin level in this game, mabye replacing totally bear, and it would have more gorillas than one in the actual level.
Badly, in my first run, after i spun the Exclamation box, i think the outline boxes turn into Crates... But... *spin* *nitro boxes appear* *BOOM!*
All my life i never tried to bounce off this damn !@#$%^& rolling pieces of tree. Today after 4 CB2 100% games i learned that. THANKS GOD!

Cherri Legnar in Eel deal level theres 2 route go to right This one just has a fake back wall. you can jump over the nitros. this led you to the green gem (:
You need the Gem with the corresponding color.

If you have a PS2, or a PS3 with backwards compatability, you can just buy the old Crash games at a Game Exchange, Game Stop, another used video game store, or used on Amazon. Both come with risks - If you look at a used video game store, it's fifty-fifty whether you find it, or not, but they usually have them. On Amazon, you're gonna pay quite a bit of money for them. Best option - Buy a used PS2, or dust off your old one, and buy the games from Game Exchange. Problem solved
