@@varmakarma9020 The level also looks too polished and clean. It's supposed to be ruins. You need moss green on those structures. I liked the original level design more.
0:42 - When I had this game and played this level for the 1st time, I expected I would smash the crates open. When I saw nitro crates, my reaction was: O.O
4:22 Naughty Dog:Oh yeah, lets piss some people off at this Nitro Switch Box, in the middle of a bunch of Rats! Garland: Spin the rat and were on our way.
When I was a kid , I remember never getting the green gem to access the gem route. Simply, I just slid my way into the path to the right of the checkpoint. Idk how I did it to this day , but I managed to get the gem from the gem route without getting the Green Gem from The Eel Deal.
Yeah, it suddenly got tricky here in the fourth warp room. None of the levels before Diggin' It were pretty hard. However, the fifth room is easier again. Spaced Out is the only hard level there. Also, that's pretty weird that you got the gem on Sunset Vista and not the other levels. In most cases, it's the other way around. I used to struggle a lot with Sunset Vista and Slippery Climb, but nailed them both easily this time.
The Gem Route was freaking annoying, but I managed to complete it at the end. I didn't manage to spin the rat away to hit the Nitro Switch (4:24), but I managed to jump over the switch at the first try! I couldn't beleive it! This must be my lucky day, I remember I lost lots of lives in that point when I was little.
I always loved this level as a kid. It was always creepy and scary because in the beginning you can hear a guy howling or something. And then it's thunderstorming. Naughty dog did an amazing job. But activsion remastered it good but they ruined some stuff. Like in this level it doesn't rain and you don't even hear the guy howling. That takes away the nostalgia stupid activision
I HATED the thunderstorm in this level. Its purpose is to throw off your timing on jumps. The SFX of the thunder ranges and one loud crackle before you jump will surely make you lose a life.
i completed this game around 10 times with 100% but i never came up with the idea to spin the timbers that the gorillas throw around away :X there's always something new to learn about this great game that is imo without doubts the best crash game (if not the best game) in history
Some of the box patterns (0:17, 0:40) from Road to Ruin repeat themselves. Except that the friendly and helpful Wumpa crates have been replaced by deadly Nitros. What the hell?
I didn't know you could spin the mouse into the Nitro switch, I died like 15 times trying to get that switch, I used to cry when I was 6 from failing soo much. Plus, my bro said I sucked, which made me cry even more. Hi! Lol, nice run.
The only thing l hated about this level was all those reinforced boxes at the start of the bonus area, you know when you get stuck between the boxes, and can't jump out, and you had just picked up the green path gem, and your forced to quit the level because you can't move. =,(
I played this as a kid and recently my teenage son managed to get it for me on my phone! Alot harder to play without controller am stuck on this level at the diagonal moving slates..struggling to activate the slide jump to get over them >< this super helpful though I'll get there eventually lol
this was one of the most frustrating levels i think, so many times did i fall off those poxy moving and twisting platforms around 4.00 minutes ... grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr :o)
Cherri Legnar in Eel deal level theres 2 route go to right This one just has a fake back wall. you can jump over the nitros. this led you to the green gem (:
that was really well done.. i failed millions of times in that fucking bonus area because i didn't know that i can spin the logs ^^ i agree with mithrilpurple xD
If you have a PS2, or a PS3 with backwards compatability, you can just buy the old Crash games at a Game Exchange, Game Stop, another used video game store, or used on Amazon. Both come with risks - If you look at a used video game store, it's fifty-fifty whether you find it, or not, but they usually have them. On Amazon, you're gonna pay quite a bit of money for them. Best option - Buy a used PS2, or dust off your old one, and buy the games from Game Exchange. Problem solved
Ah...I'm afraid I was also someone who didn't know you could spin the logs....--_-; wish I had....it would have been less stressful when I was little...eheh
i can't believe i wasted 30 lives on that path when you can spin them DAMN YOU!!!! I AM SO FUCKING STUPID by the way crash 1 reference in the background and this is the level that can be spotted in road to ruin
0:56 I always loved how the raining is a lot more intense in the secret gem route. Very fitting.
Foram muito criativos no desenvolvimento do game!!!
Wait, all this time you could just spin the logs away??? Agghhhh!
+ToonReel001 I didn't know that either! I've had this game since I was 9. I'm now 25!!!
Silje Torland dont, the game is just not well designed to tell you what you can and cant spin.
Ruination is one of my fav levels because of the ambiance. Can't wait to see the remaster!
and the cortex castle in the background
They certainly ruined the ambiance of this level in N. Sane. It doesn't progress from a light drizzle to heavy downpour anymore.

@@varmakarma9020they didn’t that’s just ps1 outdated graphical output
@@luisb.5590it’s like that here too in the original the graphics is so low it just make it look dark
You could spin the logs? brb crying.
And the legend say that kupotenshi is still crying till this day
0:42 - When I had this game and played this level for the 1st time, I expected I would smash the crates open. When I saw nitro crates, my reaction was: O.O
This level is much harder than Road to Ruin
4:22 Naughty Dog:Oh yeah, lets piss some people off at this Nitro Switch Box, in the middle of a bunch of Rats!
Garland: Spin the rat and were on our way.
Those are Possums.
I miss the time when video game was more on having a good gameplay than just having flashy graphics
one of my favourite levels by far
I just completed this level today.
Lost 30 of my 45 lives on the gem path, but it was worth it.
Ah this was my favorite level in the game :D
I also love how you can see the ruined Cortex Castle in the background
its missing the atmosphere of crash 1 lost city level. which is more dark, terrifying and mysteriuos
When I was a kid , I remember never getting the green gem to access the gem route. Simply, I just slid my way into the path to the right of the checkpoint. Idk how I did it to this day , but I managed to get the gem from the gem route without getting the Green Gem from The Eel Deal.

This kind of level is like the next step of sunset vista although the levels of the first game were more difficult. I miss that.
0:41 always imagine cortex laughing like "he's going to think it's a bunch of crates like the last level but this time it nitro!!! Mwhahahahaha
Has anyone ever played Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee/Abe's Exoddus?... The rats sound exactly like Scrabs!
Holy crap exactly my thoughts.
I love how you plot out your deaths to take you to certain places in the game... It reminds me of Inception.
This level always gives me chills

Some of the box patterns (0:17, 0:40) from Road to Ruin repeat themselves. Except that the friendly and helpful Wumpa crates have been replaced by deadly Nitros. What the hell?
HOLY CRAP this game is so awesome for being made in the 90s for playstation 1...
the graphics kick ass, the levels kick ass, crash kicks ass!
I second that. I have no clue as to where that last one is hiding.
Does cortex rly have the time to train a gorilla to throw wood across stone pylons?
I didn't know you could spin the mouse into the Nitro switch, I died like 15 times trying to get that switch, I used to cry when I was 6 from failing soo much. Plus, my bro said I sucked, which made me cry even more. Hi! Lol, nice run.
Keep getting 83/84. Where is that damn box?!
the silouhet of the island in the baackground from the fist one
is it me or is that in background screen look like there is 3rd island of crash bandicoot 1?
Lol @ Crash's squats whilst travelling on the Green Gem Platform.
What kind of civilization deals with transpassers using fire?
I'm writing a book called ruination guess crash affected more than just my childhood
How do you just appear like that after you die

Yes, and it also beats every level in Crash 1 and 3.
They musta eaten a barbeque for lunch.
Awesome job. Did this level take a lot of attempts to 100%?
Is that cortex old castle in the background?
Did you make sure all the TNT exploded?
most love stage in CB 2 (i like all of them but this stages looks was so native-jungle)
errrm... i don't mean to be dumb or sthg but how do u unlock that ring that allows you to get to the secret level ?
Yep. For starters, that gets everyone at least once.
Ruins are the best levels !
1:18 what is this? upper left corner
3:15 ah is the bonus
Badly, in my first run, after i spun the Exclamation box, i think the outline boxes turn into Crates... But... *spin* *nitro boxes appear* *BOOM!*
A fase que a fase bônus é mais difícil que a própria fase kkkkkkkkk.
Fase difícil da bexiga mano!
Adoro esta fase! Tanto a noturna quanto a chuvosa!!! Foram muito bem feitas! 😃
this was one of the most frustrating levels i think, so many times did i fall off those poxy moving and twisting platforms around 4.00 minutes ... grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr :o)
I'm 16 years late but I so agree. Perhaps the worst part in the whole game
Donkey Kong returns.
I wanted to see Crash do his little dance at the end :(
Wait. You can SPIN those logs away!? Dammit, wish I knew that when I did this.
They should've made another ruin level in this game, mabye replacing totally bear, and it would have more gorillas than one in the actual level.
Crash Twinsanity is pretty good. I think that the only PS2 Crash game worth playing.
Man i remember getting all the gems along with 100 percent when i played this.
*claps* You. Are. An. Amazing. player, man! Well Done!
I get 83/84 boxes. Can anyone tell me where is that 1 hidden box that I didn't see?
A crystal, bonus or skull platform bonus rhing
Awsomexsoup123 I did a second run after the comment I've made and I've got 84/84 boxes. sometimes those boxes can be hidden well.
You need the Gem with the corresponding color.
What do I have to do to get the green gem? :( I didn't get them at any level
Cherri Legnar in Eel deal level theres 2 route go to right This one just has a fake back wall. you can jump over the nitros. this led you to the green gem (:
For some reason, last ngiht when I was playing it the part at 2:25 kept giving me problems. Don't know why.
dude u took the words right out of my mouth
Why did I jump at 3:53?
4:22 is badass! O_O nice job
The Old Crash games are much better then the new ones... WE WANT NAUGHTY DOG BACK!!
1:00, 1:19, 1:46, 4:38
LOL!!!
Awesome Crash Bandicoot PS1.
@1:17 What are those boxes to the left for??
It's the bonus round.
Bed ore he unlocks all the intros there's s a box that let's you jump and if you jump there you get a mask in a hidden box :)
Yes, it did. We're talking 50+.
Anyway, why did someone minus this comment?
that was really well done.. i failed millions of times in that fucking bonus area because i didn't know that i can spin the logs ^^

Crash was moving to the beat at 0:53
Let’s FUCKING GOOO I FINALLY PASSED THIS BITCH
I'm stuck on the slanting slates... playing on my phone way harder without a controller, cant bloody activate the slide jumps so I can get over them >
@@EmiFromMars aw man :( that sucks, it was hard enough on a controller I can’t imagine the phone
All my life i never tried to bounce off this damn !@#$%^& rolling pieces of tree. Today after 4 CB2 100% games i learned that. THANKS GOD!
@jerm21productions actually i hear even jak and daxter is sold now :{ all we have left is uncharted
The Wrath of Cortex is also a pretty good game.
Lol again... 0:48 to 0:56... Ahahaha... Looks so funny xD
he did that so he could 'restart' back at the chackpoint
Pause at 1:19 and you can see the exit of the bonus round!

Nice
that happened to me... 1 BOX!
Holy shit you can spin the logs. I always waited and jumped. wow lame
Just finished this level with the gem in the green gem path. But I fucking missed one box! I'm not playing Crash for a while, fuck that!
well done (y)
