If the urn is sealed shut so well, why is the plastic bag necessary? I'd prefer having the ashes placed in the urn without the plastic bag and twist-tie. It's more organic. Is not having the plastic bag an option with a stone urn?
I think it might be a bit difficult to try and fit the original bag into that hole opening. I mean, it probably can be done if you're careful but if it rips, then that could be a problem.

I did it too. This is what I used Stodoys designs for
