never heard of zach sang before but he’s a fantastic interviewer, he did his research, he’s empathizing and adding to the conversation without derailing it, and he’s asking good questions that people want to know without being basic or asking things everyone has already asked.
Its incredibly interesting seeing how awsten interprets the album and what all the songs mean to him and then comparing it to what the album means to me and how I interpret all the songs to me and my past experiences and its rad as fuck. Listening to the writers explain what their lyrics mean is so damn cool and its like a look into a backstory on an entire work of art and with awsten its even cooler because he creates a story for every chorus and verse and it makes listening to waterparks music so much nicer cause you know their work and soul put into every note they put into a song and album and I could create like 100 run on sentences about how appreciative I am of this album[fandom] and this band but anYways,this bands rad as hell and its cool as fuck to see them get recognition they deserve
Also I went through a shitty breakup that had alooot of shit involved and it was almost a year ago and im still struggling to properly articulate the feelings and experiences I have from that and got from all of that relationship and its afterwards and shit,but its really cool to see that awsten was able to be so articulate with what he was trying to get across with his explantions and lyrics and it makes me so proud of him and also hell yeah!! Working better on yourself and knowing that you don't wanna put out an album that makes you not feel better and has shitty feelings represented that youre trying to get away from is a really strong thing to know,and being able to put those feelings and an entire album away so you can create something youre proud of and okay with putting out is even stronger and cooler! And jeez maybe awsten is a really big inspiration for me :)

Finally a good interview. Not just for parx/awsten, like I miss good interviews with all artists. When awsten said the people who are watching this doesn't get it I really felt it. Because, like, I had this relationship, and I feel all the parts of the grief, and I'm at the same position he is right now. I got really depressed and suicidal and I'm working myself really hard to just roll the dice and risk ruining all my progress again. But I'll never get the fame part, actually I am terrified of it. I can get easily overwhelmed by notifications and social medias and group chat and stuff lol. So yes, doesn't matter how much you relate to lyrics from artists you'll never be under their skin for real. And it gets lots of balls to expose yourself like that.
i usually hate watching interviews. i always think they’re so boring. so this is genuine when i say that Awsten is the most entertaining interviewee i’ve watched. it means a lot when i can watch an hour and a half interview. i’d also like to credit the interviewers because i usually watch a lot of interviews where all the interviewers ask the same questions.
