Vacon VFD control via PROFIBUS by Siemens S7-1200 PLC

This video is a small lesson how to control Vacon VFD via PROFIBUS by the Siemens S7-1200 PLC.
Used hardware:
- Siemens S7-1214C CPU
- Siemens CM 1243-5 communication proccessor
- Vacon NXS series VFD
- Vacon OPTC5 PROFIBUS card
- RS-232 to USB converter (with FTDI chip)
Used software:
- Siemens TIA Portal v15.1
- Vacon NCDrive

Excellent video, but be careful with the PEEK instruction. It must be PEEK_WORD for retrieving the status word and the speed. If not, you only get a byte ( in a S71500 at least)

It is normal behavior as by default PEEK instruction returns BYTE.
