I think everyone will agree that Head coming back made this band much better.
KoRn in my opinion is a band where if one member is missing they sound totally different. Once David left the band they took on a different sound, but at least he is an excellent drummer and adds to the band.
David was a big part of the band, but Korn just wasn't right without Head.
I do like a few of their songs while he was gone (Throw Me Away and Kiss are fucking awesome, there were others), but Munky and Head were quite a duo. They just sound so right together, that's what I grew up on, they inspired me so much as a guitarist (even when I was in straight up punk bands, the influence was definitely there).

This song is actually pretty good... Feels like they're trying to go roots again. You can see elements from untouchables here. Very melodic and yet very intense and dark. That's the Korn we all want to see :)
This is a lot more soft than say serenity of suffering. The old korn sound really pales in comparison. I can't even begin to name this track dark or heavy. Perhaps this is dark and heavy for when you are 60+ and wave your fists at the clouds.

Korn sounded great when i saw them as well.. Another band that suprised me with their live show was disturbed (Im not at all a fan, i went to see ill Nino and bloodsimple). They headlined and I stuck around for the hell of it and was blown away by how good they sounded live..

I loved it and it broke my heart at same time. I know that Jonathan Davis has said that this album will be a lot of him getting things from the past couple of years out. (His wife dying) So hearing him at the end was really hard.

The structure of this song reminds me of the Paradigm Shift while the ending is reminiscent of their debut album with the groovy drumming at the end excellent job.

It's probably all going to pretty dark. Jonathan's wife passed away and it drove the writing direction for him on the record. I really feel for the guy.
Loving the new track, sounds like it belongs on Untouchables or Issues, both of which were amazing albums so happy with that!! Look forward to hearing the album, Serenity will be a hard album to follow up from with it being so god damn good but sounds like they're heading the right way judging by this track alone!! 🤘

The ending reminds me of Issues and these amazing songs like "Am I Going Crazy?" which were making the whole record sound like one, long perfect track, lovin it!

Heads lead work I think gives the band a bit more of a creative sound they were know for back in the day. It’s good to see them hit that form again.

That'll never happen, unfortunately. With Serj wanting to do other things and Daron trying to take over the whole creative process it won't work. Don't get me wrong, I do like songs in which Daron sings but I prefer Serj being the singer.

Am i the only one who felt SOS was a letdown? Five songs were excellent, and the rest were just all skippable filler to me. I'm really hopeful this record doesn't turn out that way but this song, in my opinion, feels similar to those skippable SOS tracks already unfortunately

I was thinking the same thing! Jonathan's vocal delivery was amazing! Full of emotion and honesty. Dark and full of rage but fragile. The guitar riff was wonderful!!! Definitely sounds like something they would have did back in the day. Weird and atypical. Also, this is probably some of my favourite drum work since the post David days.

My only complaint about newer korn songs is that feildys bass gets lost in the mix far to easily. Other than that, pretty killer song 👌

That's what happens when they record on computers instead of the real deal analog recorder. Fake ass tones all the way around but especially devastating to Fieldys tone.
