Season 8 damaged or betrayed a lot of characters-like Jamie somehow not caring about innocents after becoming the "Kingslayer" to save people?! The writers also made Sansa dumb in season 8 in their eagerness to tear down Dany. Think about this. Who tries to annoy your biggest and best ally right before facing a battle that will determine if you and your people live or die? Plus Sansa knows that Dany is the only person standing between her and a Cersei (who has an army much larger than Winterfell's on its own.) The writers wanted to give weak excuses to stress Dany out so they created problems for her that were ridiculous. Part of that was making Sansa-for not apparent reason-dislike Dany for marching North to come to her people's aid. And even after the battle so bad it supposedly killed thousands of people they have Sansa be so foolish as to argue Dany and her army didn't matter? Really? I would argue season 8 decided to tear down Sansa and Dany (and more)-just did worse to Dany.
No matter what anyone says, she remains as one of my favorite female characters. She's iconic and I'm so proud of Emilia for portraying Daenerys through her own personal struggles. They are both queens.

It saddens me greatly the way she died.......I mean, they took what was essentially seven seasons of great character development from her being an innocent girl to being a strong women hardened by loss, betrayal, joy, sadness, anger etc., who became a ruler of the people who brought different armies with different cultures together as one one and with the backing of her children the Dragons she would have been a great ruler.....and then through all of that out the window and turned her into a predictable evil that needed to be killed by a loved one......I might have come to terms it’s the ending of the show..... it I will never forgive them for what they did to Daenerys Targaryen. Long live the mother of dragons.

Definitely a marked resemblance to Henry Tudor ( Henry VII), grew up in exile as he was the last of the Lancastrian dynasty . Although Daenarys was legitimate - Henrys claim was from the Beauforts - illegitimate children of Prince John of Gaunt and his mistress/wife Kathryn Swynford .
