The feels man, the feels. They bring back memories of chilling on the floor of my bedroom as a kid playing a handheld. While all the other kids could afford consoles and PlayStations and what not...I got to experience the wonder that was Megaman.exe Battle Network. The series appealed to me because growing up I was surrounded by computers and the internet, and through the series of the game you could watch what was going on in the world in regards to internet technology. For example, in the first few games Lan actually had to "plug" Megaman into the ports via an ethernet cable of sorts...and then when the wireless technology became more prevalent Lan's PET moved on towards wireless plugins. (This is further evidenced by Megaman Starforce touching upon cloud based technology via "Wave Form"). But enough essay, thank you for compiling this...many a tear was shed listening to the tracks as they stirred memories of summers and falls gone by that I thought I had forgotten. It is a shame Capcom threw away such a lovable character in favor of Street Fighter and Devil May Cry. Here is hoping that Mighty No. 9 inspires a new generation of Battle Network esque games. Until then... I'll just have to enjoy the older games via emulator and .gba files since my original system blew out.
yea i know them same feelings XD altho funny enough playing them on a emulator feels a bit more "right" since your playing it on a PC while it involves computers and the net XD
I'm in the same boat as you, fam. My very first owned handheld wasn't the GameBoy Color previously owned by my cousin that he gave to me as he was outgrowing it for PlayStation 2 and Xbox, but my very first was a brand-new, cobalt colored GameBoy Advance SP. My first Mega Man games were BN4 Red Sun and Zero 1. I still remember never got past Gutsman's request during the first tournament because I couldn't find his little brother, and I lost the game. But now, with the help of the internet, I got the emulator and rom to play again, and beat the game several times, as well as Blue Moon. BN4 isn't my favorite BN game, but the music will always be engraved into my soul.
I literally have the same feelings... This game was a master peice and has helped me a lot and even sort of made me come into working in IT. Man I Love MMBN!
I come back to this Medley at least once every couple months, then nostalgia it brings me is insane. I still love this series just as much as when I played through the games as lil kid, and still look forward to a *potential* switch collection at some point😭🙌🏿
Track #13...nostalgic. The music going loud, the chips in my folder, the tactics, the combos...I never lost because since I was a kid, I thought that if I lost, I had to start all over again. *sigh* Good ol times.
I will never forget...Christmas Day, 2001...The day I got my first gaming systems...an N64 and a blue Gameboy Advance...along with my first Megaman game ever...Megaman Battlenetwork...back then, I didn't know anything about video games, and how to play this one took me a few tries, as for I didn't know how to save. Being ignorant about video games, I was not sure what to expect, but when that title screen first appeared, the music struck me in the heart, and I immediately fell in love with...
Watching this is like remembering a friend who passed away.. literally shed tears multiple times in the video. Damn it man, I loved the BN games and the anime, Megaman needs to come back
I still have all of them... Rockman exe 3 is my fave out of all of them. I especially like the track #09 ~ 12. mixed well. Just listening to this makes me want to play the whole exe series again... from the very beginning.
I did that too. I will never forget how my hands shook as I fought my way through those tournaments the first time. The friend-turned-enemy fight was so stressful. I hated having to fight a navi who was good.
...this series. My thanks to Capcom and Keiji Infanue for creating Megaman (Rockman) and an extreamly special and deep thanks to my parents for making this one of the most memorable presents of my childhood. Megaman will always have a special place in my heart until the day I die.
I really do love this sub-series of the Megaman franchise. Too bad some can say it contributed to the (overall) death of Megaman as we know him now. The games getting thrown out yearly didn't help none (But then again, the X series was in it's 6th+ game by this point to boot, which got the Crapcom Sequel Stagnation treatment). I hope we can see games like these return, the plot was batshit stupid by the fourth game (And don't get me started on 2's CYBER MELDING AND CYBER RADIATION, but then again, the series was meant to end at 3), but the game play never failed to entertain.
Mainly the fact kids in the west did not understand the concept of appreciation, as a result we got crap like Honey Boo-Boo and 6-Teen instead of a full season's worth of Mega Man Battle Network. Another example would be those bloody "things" they call a fandom I dare not mention.
capcom if you can hear this please MAKE REMAKES OF THE BATLE NETWORK SERIES FOR 3DS ALL OF THE GAMES IN 3D GRAPHICS WITH THE 3D MODE ON THIS CAN LOOK REALYY AWESOME

Celebrating the arrival of the Legacy Collection by coming back to re-listen to this medley!
Track #13...nostalgic. The music going loud, the chips in my folder, the tactics, the combos...I never lost because since I was a kid, I thought that if I lost, I had to start all over again. *sigh* Good ol times.
Listening to this reminds me of how much I love the EXE/Battle Network series. This is amazingly well done.
Back for the legacy collection.

Megaman will forever be my favorite video game character no matter what.
Happy 20th anniversary !
I did that too. I will never forget how my hands shook as I fought my way through those tournaments the first time. The friend-turned-enemy fight was so stressful. I hated having to fight a navi who was good.
megaman bn is the unic serie in all history of video games to have this rpg style realy the gameplay of the games are awesome!!!

I miss these games so much. :(
MMBN1's battle music is my favorite track EVER.
I cried during the ending of BN6 because I knew there was going to be no more games in that series.
...this series. My thanks to Capcom and Keiji Infanue for creating Megaman (Rockman) and an extreamly special and deep thanks to my parents for making this one of the most memorable presents of my childhood. Megaman will always have a special place in my heart until the day I die.

No, that's not the idea. These are the favorites, and they all go together perfectly.
lan grew up and it said "BATTLE NETWORK END" two years later they came out with starforce, go play that it's a good reminder of battle network.

kemix1006 3, 5, and 6 had pretty solid plots, and while 4's plot was bad the actual battles were pretty fine (damn you Duo).
+Matt Yan not to mention you can fight roll for the first and only time in the series, she is one of my favorite boss fights in the whole series
and that Liberation theme !! Kreygasm
Track #8, THE BEST! Megaman Battle Network 4 FTW!
very cool and techno
well they did make a new bn game its just that it was a remake with starforce megaman and exe megaman
I get the feeling Japan may have loved the .Exe games far more than the west did
its just in very fuent japanes i couldnt under stand if i knew it honestly it was good it didnt get many sells thought so it didnt go to america
Personally I think it'd be better with a little less background thudding, but still nice.
シャドーマンのとこの原曲より早くなってるとこグッド(⌒▽⌒)
スターマンステージの再現めっちゃいいわ!
I wonder if remakes are in order
@Laplace the Mage Well, they did have more anime seasons than the west.
Ah...MMBN1...one of the hardest I've played. MMBN3...almost rage quit. MMBN4, hard, but fun. MMBN5 DTDS, O_O.
トーナメントのときは緊張したなぁ・・・
At least Capcom gave these games a proper ending instead of leaving them hanging all these years. =D
5で友情のあかし流れた時はなみだでたわw
すげー
