Even more fun! LOVE your Merrimekko dress and how it looks with your unfinished bag! Your first bag is AMAZING!!! Lining up all those stripes, pockets, and it's LINED so beautifully. I'm sure that the heavy duty sewing machine must help a LOT with that heavier weight fabric! Your 1999 sweater is such a treat! I hear you on the stripes being motivating! It never hurts to set a project aside for a bit.Good plan for cotton cashmere You've got me motivated to sew, even if it's just to make clothes I have fit/work better. THANK YOU!!
I love it all, the knitting, sewing, crocheting, the cat, the kids...whatever you want to talk about. It's all good! The bag is pretty amazing. I'm dusting off my sewing machine(s).
Love the new Tote!! Colors, stripe placements, Gahhh!!! Those two “Tones” colors are … I want them too !! Can’t wait to see final (new) stripe sweater! Perfect for stash! Thanks for a Fun episode!
I'm loving seeing your sewing projects. Bags are so much fun to make, and don't have the pressure of needing to fit. I know you have the IKEA fabric, but I love shopping the remnants bins for bags since they use smaller pieces. Plus, you can mix and match different colors and patterns easily on a bag.
Jen, your bag is great - I would be proud too! I've never made a tote bag with straps on the exterior. I'd probably need my quilting foot to get through the layers. Your new Singer is awesome. Yes, love to see the sweater in kid's sizes. I knit for Wool-Aid and a scrappy stripe sweater would be a great pattern to have. Hope your weekend is fun, Susannah
I love how your bag turned out! Even more I love how proud and excited you are about it!! You did great on it and I hope you finish the smaller one, I love the fabric combo 😊
Jen, that bag is gorgeous and so professional looking!! Congrats 🎊🎉 I know it’s labor intensive- too bag because you could make a bunch and easily sell them. But that might take the joy out of it so just enjoy it yourself and maybe Lotus would like one or two as well😊
I love your bags now I need to buy Ikea fabric. I absolutely love the new striped sweater, can't wait to knit it. Yes, I would love it for kids. I have 6 grandkids and the 5 granddaughters love the sweater I knit them. Really enjoy watching your show its so much fun. You are very talented.
Hi Jen! Love the bag! I would keep sewing the smaller version as you intended, I like it. I might have gotten some IKEA fabric too😉 I love hearing about your sewing projects. Don’t stop! Hope you have a great week!
Hello Jen! Your bag is beautiful! So after your last video, I went to Ikea Montréal and purchased 3 duvet covers. I am now sewing a shirt dress (using the Jenna pattern from Closet core pattern) et a robe for the summer (Quince). The fabric is beautiful and I have to say that the price is perfect. I will go back for more linen duvet covers. I love sewing with linen. Thank you for this idea! Have a good weekend! Elise
Jen! Your bags, wow, so fab, love that you are into sewing as well as all the knit things. Your stripe sweater is a winner, would love to see it graded for kids and babies :) Embrace what moves and excites you.
I remember the Gap sweater! I don’t wear my sweaters quite that fitted anymore😂. Your bag is so great!! Very impressed. I went to IKEA recently and looked at everything with new eyes.
You are really inspiring me! I bought a commercial Singer sewing machine (used) for my daughter who had expressed an interest 15 years ago. She never used it, so I am thinking I may give it a go!! Scary. I will need a lesson or two! But I would like to make a tote bag too!!
Great makes! Seeing your sewing projects made me go to my fabric stash and give the basic top from Sonia Phillips’ book a try! Looking forward to your stripey sweater pattern. I, too, recently got in a grey knitting rut and am looking forward to more colorful projects!
I swear I had a slim fitting, stretchy long sleeve sweater like that in the late ‘70s/early ‘80s. Lots of negative ease, but I was just skinny teen and could get away with it, not so much now ha ha but I am looking forward to your pattern.🥰
WOW! Jen!!! Thank you for sharing your pure joy!! I cracked up when you said (more than once) "I made a bag!" I have never doubted your creativity and knew you had a plan in place to make spectacular creations with that fabric. It is the happiest of fabrics. Love your sweater too - 1999!!! (Our kids were in elementary school). Keep creating - cannot wait for your sweater release. Stay cool (It has to be as HOT there as it is here in MI - don't know people can breathe out west).🧶🧵
You made a tote bag!! I’m a newbie sewer also and making a tote is one of my goals too! I hope my first one comes out as professional looking as yours did. Congrats!
I LOVE your bag. So inspired. Very original and looks high end design wise - like something you might find in the gift shop of a modern art gallery. Might have to pick up some Tesammens in the city….
Your bag turned out great! I would love your striped sweater in kids sizes. My granddaughter is 2 and she totally needs one. Of course I need one too and I have a ton of scraps in Malabrigo that I could use
So Jen - when are you going to design your own fabric, and maybe have it for sale on Spoonflower..... oh and your jumper looks like a dopamine hit everytime you finish a stripe. Super cute on a toddler. Would you consider doing a 4ply/fingering version of the 1999 sweater for those that live in warmer climates?
I absolutely love that first bag! The second one is nice but it feels more tame compared to the first. I think it just needs a bit of a colour pop in ? orange,? yellow . What do you think?
Love the bag!! I was proud when I finished a pillow case!! Yes to the toddler sweater!!
Great video!
Your bag is wonderful and I love your stripe raglan 🎉. I plan to purchase your pattern! s soon as you release it!
Have a lovely week. 🌻🌻

yes, please on the stripy baby sweater! I’m currently working on a stripy baby blanket and the sweater would be wonderful to go with it.

Winter is in full force here
Love your Marimekko dress. And what a great first sewn bag - you made a THING! Now you need to embroider "IT'S SEW FUN" on it ...!
Love that blue dress!!!! And, PS, I think sewing a button is a big deal, so seriously, the bags are awesome!
Love your tote bag it came out so great

Amazing! Is the tote your own pattern? Also, yes please grade the pattern down for the striped sweater. I have 5 grandchildren and would be so fun!

Great makes Jen! I think we might be a similar size, can you tell me what size marimekko dress you wear? Thanks😊
I absolutely love that first bag! The second one is nice but it feels more tame compared to the first. I think it just needs a bit of a colour pop in ? orange,? yellow . What do you think?
Love all the sewing. The fabric is amazing! What tote bag pattern are you using
I would love a child size pattern of 1999. How many different colors do you think I need for the adult size?
I still have about 10 patches ready to send to your daughter, let me know...
