2 Thessalonians 2:1-17

When a bridegroom comes to take his bride they go to the room prepared by his father and feast for 7 days.
At the rapture, the bride is taken up to celebrate with the Lord for 7-years (tribulations on earth).
Matthew 19-5: "For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh."
After the 7-year tribulations, at the second coming, Christ will leave Heaven (the Father) to rule on earth during the millennium kingdom. Then a new Heaven and a new earth will be born (one flesh)

I must be confused, I have watched pastor Lawson for years now, and in dozens of sermons when he talks about his testimony of salvation, he always said he was saved in 1973, and can take us to the place he was sitting on a couch, when he heard a preacher give him the Gospel, and he bowed his head, and was saved, and born again, but in this video he says he got saved less than a month after he was married in December 1966. So that's a 7 difference between the time he always says he was saved in 1973, he always says he was 27 years old when he was saved, so the math doesn't add up. I'm not doubting Lawson, I know he's a great man of GOD, and my brother in Christ, but I'm extremely confused, because he always says he was born again in 1973. Maybe I'm completely wrong, if anyone knows the story of Lawsons testimony, I would love to here how this great holy Spirit inspired man of GOD, came to know the LORD. May GOD bless you all.
LIGHTSIDE KJV hes always stated 1973, that he was indeed married for a while before he got saved. Pastor lawson, like all older folks, gets confused with years of his life. I've heard services where he forgets the year of his marriage, birth of his kids, etc, but never forgets 1973 when he got saved. He's fallible, gets mixed up, but he's not lying. It was 1973.
AndyJackson17well I agree with you that he always said he was saved in 1973, but in this video he says he was saved in 1966, so I was confused, but in no way was I entertaining the thought that this blessed man of God was lying, I just thought maybe I didn't get the full story of his testimony, but either way it's not important, because I know that he can be forgetful of things, because he says that alot, and he has to write alot of things down. I have a Friend, that received Lord Jesus Christ A-men, and was doing ok. But he always treated his wife with contentment. I think she done something in the past that he just could not forgive her for?? But he got saved, was going to Bible study. But still drank beer heavy and put his money in front of everything. I was called back to My Lord Jesus Christ A-men, started reading my Bible and got away from drinking, cursing, fornication. But My friend did not go in the way of Jesus. So I became desdent. He has been snared in a very evil net!! His money has takin hold of him, he has been doing some terable things. His wife, witch has also been sinning for yrs. As asked for a davorse, and wants half of the estate . It is a mess!! I am really worried for them!! I pray daily for them. I am asking for prayers for my friends, Mitch and Sue. Please pray for this Brother and Sister in Christ Jesus A-men. That they may work there way out of the snare of the evil one! Are we the body or bride ?
The end of the beginning live good question, because the scripture talks about the Jews being the bride of Christ, and that the great city of the new Jerusalem, spoken about in revelation, comes down from heaven as a bride adorned for her husband. And also in old testament, Jehovah talks about being divorced from the children of Israel, and how he has a marriage covenant with them. So everything I have learned thus far, says that we who are saved in this age of grace, are the body of Christ, and that we are already seated in heavenly places in the Kingdom of GOD. And the earthly physical kingdom of heaven is for the children of Israel, the sheep who enter in through the Gate of the sheep fold. But I'm just a babe in Christ, and I have a lot to learn yet, but I will continue to study it out, and show myself approved unto a God, a Workman who needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. Here is another way of looking at this, how can the bride of Christ be the body of Christ.
LIGHTSIDE KJV, I believe you are correct. I can't see one verse that say the church as the bride, but I see plenty that say we are the body.

Now, don't get me wrong, because I'm not saying I know better. I haven't had much opportunity as of yet to figure out where to stand on that kind of question. But, from what I have gathered by various means, I was thinking we are His "body" in the sense we bring the gospel to the people so they can cry out for salvation. But we are also the "bride" in the sense that God is to return for us, after the tribulation, for a tried and true Church.
I welcome any attempts to correct me, so long as you show me a verse to prove me otherwise. I am very sorry, however, that I am unable to immediately bring my own evidence to the table, for lack of memory. Maybe a prayer, and it'll come back.

In conclusion, I'm not saying the church is NOT the bride of Christ, I'm just not convinced that it IS the bride of Christ by what verses you quoted.

With all due respect Pastor, I must say that the Church the body of Christ, is by NO MEANS THE BRIDE OF CHRIST!
In love may I ask that you review the Old Testament and the verses where in God himself is the HUSBAND to Israel and the Jewish people.
Please read the following Old Testament verses as "proof texts"...
Isaiah 54:4-8; Isaiah 62:1-5; Jeremiah 3:3, 8, 14, 20; Jeremiah 31:31-32; Ezekiel 16:1-38.
God Almighty has NEVER referred to HIMSELF as a "HUSBAND" to the Mystery Church the body of Christ, a SECRET which God kept hidden since the world began; but NOW has been revealed to Paul who refers to the Gospel of Salvation of Grace by Faith alone as "my gospel" made known to ALL nations for the obedience of FAITH;" Romans 16:25-27.
The body of Christ which is His Church was NOT made known to ANYONE AT ANYTIME until the Lord Jesus Christ had been Crucified and ha Risen to sit at the right hand of God the Father. It was only then that the Lord Jesus Christ appointed Saul who He renamed Paul, to be the Apostle to the Gentiles on the road to Damascus.
Clearly, the Church the body of Christ, is in NO WAY the Bride of Christ, especially since "we" are "caught up" to be "seated in Heavenly places" before Daniel's 70th week aka "The Time of Jacob's Trouble begins", thus demonstrating that The body of Christ which is His HEAVENLY Church is NOWHERE to be found in the Book of Revelation; and which takes place on the 🌎EARTH and is what Jesus was referring to in Matthew 24. The Saints being referred to in Revelation are the Tribulation Saints NOT theChurch Saints.❤

Revelation 21:2, 9-10
“And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband…And there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying, ‘Come hither, I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb’s wife.’ And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God…”

Were you able to read any of the 'proof texts' in the Old Testament? God is the HUSBAND of the "little flock" (the 12 Apostles and their jewish followers) who will inhabit the New Jerusalem to which God promised "to give to them the (EARTHLY🌎) Kingdom.

So Christ died for those who go to hell as well as those who go to heaven? What bible is this guy reading

From Death to Life No. He died for his sheep. The word world in the bible does not mean every single person, ever in the bible
Yes he died for ALL. It’s up to each person whether they accept the gift of salvation or not.
