Cod zombies was my childhood and the decline of the community hurts my soul
It hasn't declined will statistically to me although I disagree I know tons of people didn't like cw and cause of that and vangaurd have given up but tons of people are hyped for the next zombies experience and statistically cold war was the most successful version of zombies
@@RaNgErs_Rep I have hope that that the new zombie experience is good but I highly doubt it because vanguard was ass, I liked CW tho so maybe the devs will come out with an amazing zombies game and maybe even a standalone would work. @@geraldthegoose1685 I disagree once agian Milo(MrRoffleWaffles), Noahj456 and most big zombie creators enjoyed cold war. Most people seem to not understand why vangaurd was bad. Treyarch was forced by Activision to work on vangaurd why having there team already working on CW. Which wasent supposed to be there game in the first place. And they had already been working on the next black ops plus the devs working on vangaurd weren't even zombie Developers most if not all were multiplayer developers. Because of the lack of people they had.
Edit: plus vanagurd was on a new engine and they had to remake everything
@@RaNgErs_Rep agree to disagree Im pretty sure a lot of people including me enjoyed CW (I wasn't a fan of Firebase Z) but it still doesn't change the fact that vanguard was still ass. Also I only said MrTLexify because he constantly uploads and I have his notifications on so I'm more aware of him then Milo and Noah although I do also remember Milo going off the grid and coming back like 4 months ago. Finally, are they making a new black ops? Because I haven't seen ANYTHING about that granted I stopped playing zombies around a year ago

I love the Call of Duty Zombies Storyline, it is my childhood. Now the in-game story is so big that the Developers said that we as players still haven't found everything within the games.
We can still find something playing the various games that completely change or add something to the current known storyline.

As much as this was informative about the timeline, even though some small details were wrong. This video failed to capture the personality of the characters and how they really do make 80% of the timelines as impactful as they are. And the only video I know that does the timeline true justice is 6 hours long. Its a beyond ambitious commitment, the best idea would be split them up into small bits. Hopefully you guys get to it, I'm more than positive there's an audience for it, it's well well worth it. You guys are awesome 😎

yeah the one that is 6 hours long is really detailed and you really get to understand what actually went down from beginning to end as well as getting to know the characters.
I highly recommend it for people that want to know the full story.
The story was always very well hidden in the game and players would spent alot of time as a community to find all the easter eggs and piece the story together whenever a new map got released. So it is a very confusing story to follow without having all the pieces.

Really glad you guys watched this even tho Zombies story is a bit complicated and convoluted. One other video from BlackOpsAmazing that might be something interesting is the Extinction mode's story from CoD Ghosts. Extinction is this games version of a "Zombie story". Even tho the game is a bit "unpopular" in terms of the CoD games, I think it might be something interesting to look at.

There were audio logs in maps where you could get an bit of a better insight to some events.
I love the CoD zombies lore and world, but man oh man it's full of retcons. Like Arthur, the big guy from buried. We knew nothing about him when the map came out, because it was a different head of direction at the time so we all called him Leroy as a nod to the Leroy Jenkins meme. Fast forward to the end of black ops 3 and we find out that he's meant to be some medieval knight who ended up in a jail cell dressed in overalls because of "temporal rifts". That's just one example, I could go on and on about how certain things just don't add up and the discourse in the community about them like the endless debate about if the map Shangri La is set on mars or not.
Still though, loved the reaction. It's always fun to see people learn about my hyper-fixations.
Also, the unfortunately cancelled "Chaos" storyline which was meant to be completely unrelated to the Aether storyline is somewhat easier to understand as well as interesting. Kind of like a H.P Lovecraft story mixed with Indiana Jones with a dash of real life history.
“That was insane” a good way to describe it, but honestly the insanity is awesome and crazy that you just roll with it and it makes sense to a degree if you look at the details XD
We don’t doubt the more you are involved in it and following it over the years it makes more sense and easier to follow then just trying to get it all in one hour 😅

Well about the writing, see the guy in the video explained everything in chronological order. In game we didnt experience it like that and as the games went on it got crazier and crazier and i think in part thats due to the fact Zombies was never meant to be a big thing. CoD World at War zombies was an easter egg you were dropped into after beating the campaign on hard. It eventually became like THE reason people would buy new titles and each DLC so i think they were kinda pushed into continuing the basic story they had written thus element 115, the keepers, aether, etc. were born.
This story has been told over the course of 10+ years and by no means is it an easy thing to figure out from just playing. Im sure Black Ops Amazing did a lot of digging to get a lot of the finer details. In regards to its ending i dont think i could see it ending any other way. Its bittersweet but it fits. A final goodbye. If they ever use these characters or storyline again i would see it as nothing more than a desperate cash grab by Activision and i would not consider it canon. The Aether Story is over.
It’s nice that they ended it in a way that says it’s over and done with and there is nothing left for us to go to. Guess they could do something expanding on a certain aspect of the story. Like if something was just talked about but never actually seen or experienced 🤔
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames Perhaps they could. I think originally the zombies team wanted to make the Great War a playable map but never got around to it.
1:06:45 They have a huge map with all the storyline points happening, so basically what you described. If you google "Black ops zombies storyline map" and go to pictures you can see this brown-orange picture, which at first looks like a blot, but when you zoom in you can see all the writte points of the whole storyline, its really cool to see what they managed to make in over 10 years of time
28 and have been playing since I was a kid! This was awesome and I’m gonna subscribe! These characters made me laugh and cry and it’s a lot but once you have the basics down the story is really great thanks for giving it a chance

1:09:30 this sort of fits, considering that at some point, when the story goes crazy, the story makes you believe that the 2 kids, Samantha and Eddie, were the ones telling the story through their games (you can see them playing with zombie toys and other things)
Sadly, the only way to fully understand what's going on is to watch a 7-hour video and we know you guys aint doing that 😓 (unless you make a series out of it) BlackOpsAmazing summarized 10 years of cod zombies in 1 hour. Also playing the game will make you understand 10% of the story since most of it is told by radio logs, ciphers, etc.
Okay well at least we don’t feel too bad that most of this isn’t just in a playthrough of the game and you need to really explore while you play to grasp the storyline 😅 We could possibly do a longer series for this storyline cut up into parts 🤔

I agree with the other people who’ve suggested watching the full 6 hour long entire story explained doing it in bits. That would really explain everything you guys still don’t understand or have questions about. Also it’s crazy because at first in call of duty world at war the zombies mode wasn’t even supposed to be in the game and then they put it in as a bonus little fun thing that automatically happened when you beat the story mode, then later caught so much traction that they added new zombie maps later on in that game. They didn’t even have any story started until about 3 maps in to zombies, and us the fans search every crevice and corner of the maps and try and find every little secret and that’s how we’ve pieced together this much story is because they’ve added this much into the map for people to find. Also it’s crazy because we also had to wait a couple months inbetween new zombie maps for each treyarch cod game, and then when the next cods werent made by Treyarch then we had to wait up to 3 years at a time to find out what’s next! It’s crazy
Awesome loving the zombies content. If you could react to all the black ops 1 zombies characters voice lines you'd have an amazing time they say some wacky stuff.

If you want another big full game story explained that's a lot easier to understand than Zombies I'd highly recommend checking out the full Half Life/Portal storyline. It's very long but the story is amazing. Skyrionn has an amazing video on it but it's almost 3 hours long. You should also check out the Dark Aether storyline for zombies, it takes place immediately after the ending of this one and is WAYYY easier to follow.

I wish the video had the radio recordings. Some of them are absolutely incredible especially the one where Maxis says “I love you Samantha. Can you do something for me something very important. kill them kill them all” and then you hear a gun shot and then Samantha Laughing.
i never got to play through the entire story line but man its beautiful, one of the story lines i really liked and im sad where it kinda ended
i love the cod zombies stories. So freaking cool
The CoD Zombies storyline is super confusing since it's a combination of 5 different games over 10 years. Each individual map within the game always has a cool story, but the newer maps have essentially linked the older maps and those that seemed like solo stories back into the main Aether storyline.
For e.g., Mob of the Dead was a Black Ops 2 map from 2013 and had nothing to do with the Aether timeline but was then reconnected to the storyline with Blood of the Dead in Black Ops 4 in 2018.
There may have been some sort of overarching story from the start, but realistically, Treyarch tied off the story after every game they connected (apart from World at War - the first game to have Zombies) and then had to reinvent the story on their next game.
Black Ops 1 ends with Maxis blowing up Earth. Black Ops 2 ends with meeting child Samantha and Edward, leading you to believe the whole timeline was just a game played by kids. Black Ops 3 ends with completing the cycle with the Great War. And Black Ops 4 ends with the destruction of the multiverse.
So yes, it's a giant mess but the amount of effort to produce such an creative story amazing Easter egg quests is seriously impressive.
I come from the cinematic reaction video, I am very happy that they looked for a video that summarized the zombie story (although it did not do it well, unfortunately) the video they chose is very undidactic, and it is understandable considering that it tries to summarize 10 years of history in one hour, Even so, I have seen videos that explain it better and without spending 6 hours in a row.
It may not seem like it, but I assure you that the story of black ops zombies is beautiful if it is explained properly

This video would just talk about things without explaining what they were, the video seems to be made for people that play the games

Not sure if this comment will be seen because it's being written a bit late, but I would love to see you guys react to CoD Zombie's Perk Jingles! In the game, you can buy perks that come in vending machine, with each machine having their own unique song that advertise their perk. Not many people react to this staple part of CoD zombies, but the jingles are so catchy and fun. I think it would make for a great react!

This video is not bad but if you have not played any of the games or know nothing of the story this is really confusing. If your really interested in the Zombie Story line watch the video by EruptionFang. It's so much more detailed but much easier to understand since he uses clips from the games with the character voices in the notes. It is almost 7 hours long so your could probably make like 7 parts out of it. I highly recommend it checking it out.

I really like the the zombies story line, however it is very long and confusing. But still good. Also do you are looking to do more transformers reactions, you should check out the original g1 Optimus vs Megatron, from the 1986 movie.
With many years playing the game you slowly understand when I was 9 years old I never understood anything I'm now 21 and understand all of It

The only thing i thought when I saw the title was “oh no”
It started as just like a mini game mode like the first zombie mode was made from spare parts. Like it was suppose to be basically an ungraded version of pacman. And it just blew up. Like now any call of duty game now weather it's treyarch or modern warfare or anything call of duty people expect zombies. Like for charity they raised almost 200 grand just from people donating watching there favorite RUclipsrs playing all the zombie maps in like 6 or 7 hours. That's insane to me cause again the first zombie map came about in call of duty world war. 2008 or 2007 and it was like literally pieced together from unused assets soo to see it going from there to this is literally crazy.
Never know how or why something is going to take off and connect with people 🤗

Great reaction!!! I have been waiting for this video ever since I saw the outline of January reactions. It is one of my favorite storylines and by far the one of the most confusing and crazy. If you would like a more in depth look at the storyline, there is a video by EruptionFang. It is almost 7 hours long but it is a great watch and could work as a really long movie.

If anyone told this story 30 years ago they would have been placed in an insane asylum. Sure let’s just have Fidel Castro and JFK fight zombies in the pentagon, but then we have these 4 soldiers from WW1 fighting zombie templars in a German research location while being defended by 3 giant German mechas. Or what about 4 Italian mobsters that tried escaping Alcatraz have their souls trapped in a satanic Alcatraz alternate reality where they are being punished for their sins by a warden that made a pact with lovecraftian gods. Man this story was so poggers.

It’s very noticeable while you are watching the video that it’s really confusing, I’ll say most of the “lore” for cod zombies is found in comics or books. People who are overly into the cod zombies story know all of this, so basically “nerds” which is not meant to be derogatory . Most of the community knows only like a good 30% maybe 40% of what is said in the video.
the zombies timeline is very confusing a quick 1 would be during bo4 in blood nikolai soul was still intact so gorod krovi never happend during bo3 becuase they never went their.Also their is an entire post of the zombies timeline they all intertwine with each other and personally i love the zombies timeline
