Round 3 is the first fighting game I played and let me tell you….I head butted so much I didn’t know it was illegal i was only 9 😂 so when the referee stepped in I didn’t know what was going on!
@TheMajesticGamer Personally I own fight night champion myself, and I can say no, definitely not, they lacked blood, it was very hard to give or get cuts, very hard to get cuts, orange blood overall, the moving system was horrible felt overushed career mode is way to hard in fight night champion. And in my opinion the only thing they did good in fight night champion was the camera mode/ view that was golden.
FN Round 2 was my first boxing game. The career modes in FN R2/3 where you can actually see physical changes of your fighter hen you do specific training, or get fatter if you perform badly in training was really ahead of its time. You even started balding as you approach 40 lol
I wish your character didn't have to deteriorate like that... I wish they would've jusy let you keep stats until u retire... I wanted to chase Sugar Ray Robinson's record soo bad too
Used to stay on this game heavy back in college in them dorm rooms, once this hit xbox 360. People would block their torso and just spin the head around and around at the same time for defense lol..... round 3 REALLY nailed roy Jones' style. From him putting his hands behind his back, to him frequently adjusting his belt line while fighting just as he would do in real life. No other FN replicated RJJ style so accurately.
The Washer Machine! 🤣 At least that's what my bro and me called it! We figured out uppercuts was the counter, and NOBODY got away with that shit anymore. There were so many "cheaps" in that game, but there was a counter to every one of them. Truly a billiant game
My favorite career mode. I remember having like 90 fights and getting older your stats start to go down slowly I remember changing weight classes it was revolutionary
Yea you play in three weight classes I made a heavyweight as big as you could not knowing they would make me go down to middleweight eventually, and when I made it to middleweight every punch takes like half their bar away from my opponent, it was actually disappointing cause I like the competitive matches
@@PowerfulFupa that's what I did after, that's a good challenge, when I made the heavyweight I figured I would stay there, I knew they made you move up I didn't they would make you go down my guy still looked like he was 280 lbs fighting like 160 lol
My favorite fight night game. The lean system seems like the most rewarding out of all the games and doesn’t have this over dramatic flash or cinematic where it feels almost forced ..I wish it has a harder difficulty tho. It seems a bit predictable after a while.
So many memories from this. How I unintentionally made Mike Tyson then heard he was gonna be in FNR4, so I just made him my permanent go to creation. The funny KOs etc.
Man, you are becoming one of my favorites on here. You even got me into playing UFC4, even though I'm kinda ass at it, lol. Thanks for always making killer content, and I'm here to stay.
This game does have a combo system actually.flick the right stick right to left for hooks.diagonally up for jab and cross and L1 for body jab and crosses with the same directions. And that haymaker u was doin was ali's signature punch wit the x button😅👍🏾
After you're done with the Fight Night series, it would be awesome if you could play Foes of Ali for the 3DO, the EA game that started this franchise. There were also Knockout Kings and Knockout Kings 2000 also by EA on the original PlayStation + Knockout Kings 2001 and Knockout Kings 2002 on the PS2 + Knockout Kings 2003 that was exclusive for the GameCube.
Hey Martial, just throwing this out there but the blocking system isn't just up and down, but you can also push the stick side to side while its up or down and it'll move into a parry block where if you're opponent punches to that side of the head or body (exactly where you're blocking) they'll be left open for an extra little bit after the punch.
Also, I've been thinking for ESBC Boxing and wanted to ask people their thoughts.. What would you guys think for an over the shoulder camera angle? I personally think that might be quite dope.
You really should use the Total Control punching. It works with the blocking and weaving and you can really get a rhythm going, if I remember correctly.
Negative… the TPC wasn’t as fluid and accurate as the buttons. The only thing I used the TPC was for haymakers. You could punch more efficiently using the buttons. Not as big of an advantage as Fight Night 2004 but it was so much faster using the buttons especially trying to counter punch
Happy to see you get to this one! You can definitely pull off some combos but I think this game holds up so well for being an early 360/PS3 game and it's definitely one of my favs! Also please do career mode in this or the original Fight Night!
You need to get into career mode so you can have a better feel for the game. Also a plus is you get to practice head movement in a fight but take zero damage IRL👍.
No why is the video so short? Hey Martial you missed a few mechanics again for this game as well. The parrying system and the actual haymaker system again not throwing signature punches. You can also throw combos but they're more so left right, left right than doubling or tripling up on the same side. If you play this again try throwing, jab, straight, left hook, right hook with a speed boxer or when you have an adrenaline boost.
Martial, I genuinely have a real, great, comeback, not these ones people send it where the fight is pretty close, I was getting my ass kicked, and my opponent was just toying with me, shit was embarrasing… Then he got too cocky and I knocked his ass out after nearly a 3 round beatdown 30-25 to him, if you could send me your email I will send you the fight, trust me this is a fight you won’t want to miss, guys please like this so Henry sees this, It won’t dissapoint🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
There's a reason the jump to Champions from Fight Night Round 3 is so great. FNR3 on PS3 was an HD reskin of the PS2 game that came out in the mid-2000s. It looks miles better than the PS2 version but essentially plays exactly the same. The training mini-games also look a little different but work the same.
I couldn't understand why he didn't like Round two? Because If you had it at the hard level you really had to throw hay makers to win.... Round three is too easy to me
Hey martial I know this isn't relevant to the video but you should give undisputed 2010 career mode a chance it's definitely my favourite of the ufc games and is full of content and details such as interviews, visits to your gym/ teaching techniques, making decisions, cutscenes the interactive messages with mark(coach) the training games and the commentary in matches reference previous fights and choices e.g I was the light heavyweight champ and moved to heavyweight and was fighting up the ladder and Joe mentioned saying something along the lines of my character still having the same spark I had when I was the light heavyweight champion. It's really amazing. You don't have to upload it I'm just saying give it a go Edit : even though ud3 has better gameplay I personally think the career mode in 2010 is way better it's so fun and exciting,it also gives a nice story mode.
