Convert Laptop Adapter To Adjustable Power Supply

Hello friends in this video I am going to convert 18v laptop charger into 0-18V adjustable power supply. This is very simple way to modify fixed output adapter into variable regulator.
Only a few components required to make it.
No need to open or disassemble adapter.
Electronic components required,
Transistor TIP3055 ( Power Transistor )
Potentiometer 5K or 10K
Resistor 100 Ohm
Diode MUR4100

👍 Still, I would recommend a Darlington combination for higher output currents, better voltage stability and regulation, and a bigger heatsink.

No such diode in remote control, u can use any diode

If adapter is 12v then u can use only 0-12v. Or u have ir use booster

U can use any diode, it has no role in regulator, it is just to protect EMI (reverse voltage) generated by inductive load
