The voice of all things isn't that specifically a language, it's closer to the divine sense a paladin has, but we don't know what the specifics of it are so it's hard to say.

Really liked this one. There are some things that make me go "yeah, that doesn't sound like Luffy" but for the most part, I really liked it. I really liked the inclusions of Visage of the Astral Self: Word of the Spirit and Tongue of the Sun and Moon Manga Spoiler Those literally are one of Luffy's secret abilities, "Conqueror's Haki - Voice of All Things". Hasn't been explained yet as it has been developed further recently in the story, but Luffy can hold a conversation with every living thing and can broadcast his voice, sometimes telepathically, from far far away. He can also transmit a message to a specific person a long way away.
Yeah there's definitely so much One Piece content, that this was definitely a challenge to even know how much to try to throw into this build, but I'm glad you liked it!!!
I like how this build actually matches Luffy's journey. His training as a kid with Garp was basically him getting his Monk levels, but he starts taking Druid levels after training with Silvers Rayleigh in the jungle.
Everybody who tried to do a Luffy build usually makes him a Monk, but honestly, following the way he fights, and his whole personality, for me he's probably a lot more of a Barbarian-Fighter bruiser-brawler type of guy (especiall when he uses that "idiot haki" against Enel), with some decent Charisma and Wisdom, and dumped Intelligence.
yeah but flurry of blows is what defines luffy, the gum gum machine gun is his go to, also being mobile and doing haki punch explosion is basically open hand monk lvl9 ability
Rustage2 is doing a one piece dnd. Many things like absorb elements and ki empowered strikes and immunity to poison fit the world very well. The others already pointed out druidic language and tongue. But just know this is way better than you think. Including the term awakened for gear 5.
I understand why mechanically it was done, but dumping strength as Luffy just feels so wrong. Dude can push two buildings apart with no leverage, can split the clouds with his punches and can blow up islands with his fist.
I've always thought it would be cool to make luffy using way of the sun soul, and just flavor the ki blasts as punches with his stretch, and Searing sunburst works for 3rd Gear
I can totally see that as another option, only issue is that I'd have to make sure I really put some points into strength, which would hurt my ability scores a little bit, because you need at least a 13 in strength in order to multi-class into barbarian.

I went Bugbear Astral Self Monk 17 / Battle Master Fighter. Technically, Four Elements Monk is longer range, with Fist of the Fire Snake giving +10 reach. He does have the Cobra Gear 4 and the Fire Hawk techniques that this can sort of replicate. There is also being hit by a Demon Ichor attack that has a 5% chance of giving you 5ft more reach, and the Potion of Giant Size. I'd probably as the DM for a Custom Magic Item that gave me the Demon Ichor 5ft reach and allowed me to spend Ki to use Fist of the Fire Snake. There is also the fact that Gear 5 should probably be Freedom of Movement or Investature of Wind. Ring of Free Action would be a good one.
Yeah the reach would be greater, but I just couldn't lean into the casting with Four Elements, didn't feel right for the character, I also realized later that there's a tattoo you can get in DnD that extends range which I mentioned in my Kratos video, but it totally could have worked with Luffy.
@@dndbuilds i forgot about the Tattoo too. My end build for luffy did end up being Fighter 3, Four Elements Monk 6, Fire Genie Warlock 11. For best results, ask the DM for a custom spell list. Casting was a good representation for his gears and Haki.

That would be a lot easier. Cook feat aasimar and trickery cleric till you get the one turn invisibility use the racial as diable jambe and then grab monk.
@@dndbuilds because of germa, I'd say Sanji is in universe custom lineage. Ascendant dragon monk gives consistent diable jambe and the needed mobility. While the chef feat is good, taking battle master and cooks utensils would work too to have space for a different feat like mobile or tough.
The Thri-Kreen is definitely not accurate for Zorro but it's also the best way to get three sword style with their ability to attack with a light weapon for free.
Instead of druid 3, I'd have fighter 3 and taken rune knight. The two runes would be Cloud and Fire. Cloud for more Observation Haki and Fire for his Red Hawk and Red Roc attacks. You can still grow in size as well. The only downside is you can't use the fire rune with unarmed strikes, so would need to switch it up with staff or something and reflavour it in some way.

I would have preferred to see you build him with the intention of being an NPC so you can go for the closest possible accuracy to how he operates. Drop anything that doesn’t fit, and make the ability scores reflect the character rather than point buying them.
To be fair, any Luffy based character should have a straight up minus on any sneaking skills lol. Although he should be able to get any npc or minor enemy on his side by befriending them so max out charisma, charm and anything of that sort.
I did my own Luffy build, where I chose Star Druid, with the Starry Form being Gear 5, fitting both in aesthetic (Making you pure white and shiny) and in symbolism (Gear 5 comes from the Sun God Nika, the Sun is a Star, so it fits).
Step 1: Use Mutants & Materminds 3e Step 2: Come up with/figure out Devil Fruit rules Step 3: Figure out proper power level and build from there Step 4: Done
@@dndbuilds If you could make that work it would be absolutely epic! Since way their Nen, Ki of sorts, works it is definitely hard to mold into DnD. Some of the characters aren't hard, but some are just.... no idea how to even make work. XD
Hey, i know this is an old vid, but for any future One Piece videos, PLEASE dont use interpolated footage. Especially since you have it in slow mo in the background, it, frankly, looks terrible. So many people ive seen use interpolated footage for One Piece videos, is that just the only footage people can find?

Absorb Elements: he is immune to lightning because rubber but he is also immune to fire because of his fighting spirit!

Only thing I would have changed is Bear Totem barbarian instead of Druid. Luffy tanks a lot of damage and shrugs off anything when he’s pissed.

I think going astral Monk 6/spore Druid 7-12/Monk 13-14/Rune knight 15-20 would be an interesting alternative build.
My luffy build is bugbear, astral self monk abjuration wizard and battle master fighter for lunging attack
