You never know how these episodes are going to turn out- and while my guilty pleasure is watching unreformed princesses get what they deserve, It really is nice when one of Gail's princesses is revealed to be a good person.
Her presentation to the group of young ladies was very well done - especially the brochure! Very impressed. ❤I like her whole family and hope she's doing okay now (2024)
Anglos are so weird with adult children living at home till they are financially stable. You don't see Asians or Hispanics belittling a fledgling adult still living at home while they sort out their situation
I stayed at home during college, I graduated with only 1800$ in debt. I purchased my first home the year I graduated. I became a landlord in my early 30s. Staying home was definitely the right decision.
@@gladigatorrawr1480 I think it depends on what that adult is doing while living at home. If they're actively pursuing a degree or a job, that's one thing. Ideally, the adult child contributes financially or in other ways to the household. But if they're living at home and expecting the parents to pay, cook, clean, and do his laundry, then that's an overgrown child. I'm Asian and I've seen both types. Often, parents don't want to "tough love" their overgrown child, which is sad.
Enjoy your new path 😀 Gail your like a breath of breath air ~ I’m continuing to learn and make changes in my own life . I get a rush of adrenaline every time I make an additional payment to my credit card and spending within my budget since using cash ~ happy days 👏
I tell my kids as long as they are working and in school, and save every penny, they can absolutely stay with me to get that piece of property in their hands.
From all of these Princess episodes it seems that it’s largely the parent’s fault. The parents create monsters by not setting limits and spoiling them. The princess doesn’t mature due to the enabling.
I'm so proud when she didn't spend the money but as someone who worked in a department store I wish she hung those sweaters back up that she tried on so much work.
I have zero sympathy for these parents, they didn't have fortitude and guts to put their feet down and enabled this reckless behavior rather than risk being labeled "bad guys."
I normally am not a big fan of nose jobs because I think that the nose a person is born with is very interesting but in this case, she must have had a great surgeon. She looks great and I think that it was worth every penny.
Why can't her parents just say NO? They're part of the problem. I had to leave school at 16, get a job, pay rent to my mother, buy and cook my own food, buy my own clothes and shoes....and on and on and on. AND I still saved.
As a former retail worker in a clothing store, seeing this young woman dump all the discarded items in a dressing room just makes me irritated and disgusted. If you don't want something, take it OUT of the dressing room instead of leaving it like trash. If it came on a hanger, rehang it and put it back on the rack. If it was folded, at least give it to the desk or a clerk to be refolded. Retail clothing workers work hard for their generally low-paying, non-commission jobs. Don't turn them into your mama - clean up after yourself.
If parents would assist their children to launch instead of pampering them, it would teach them how to be independent. Necessity is the mother of invention.
Best princess, hard working. And I am not supporting her debt, but at least she travelled the world and had experiences and made memories, while in other episodes is just Botox and hair extensions and asking the boyfriend for money for trash.
This girl is the reason why student loans are now dispersed in small monthly amounts and the lump sum tuition goes directly to the school. She laughs, but she actually defrauded Canada Student Loans.
Nice girl. It always amazes me how these girls think they can have whatever they want. Maybe her parents spoiled her, but they didn't look rich enough to give her everything she wanted! It was a little harsh when her Dad said who was the loser now.
She should be grateful to get a job at all. It is difficult to give a job to people who can't manage their own finances, cheating themselves. You can't expect loyalty and most definitely can't expect honesty, decency and can not trust these kind of people.
When I was 13 my father handed me an application for a social insurance number, told me to fill it out and to get a job. My first job was working nights sorting cherries in a packing plant. I was in my 30's before I could eat another cherry. Of course in those days, (mid 60's) I could walk home at 3 a.m., and I didn't actually pay rent or board, and I still helped with the household chores but I didn't get "allowance" any more. I was 27 when I had the downpayment for a house. It's like birds. The young have to be thrown out of the nest or they never learn to fly.
@@davidpayumo23 I managed $27,000 down on a $97,500 house with a mortgage rate of 19 5/8% Of course, in those days, jobs were plentiful and interest on savings was in line with the mortgage rates.
@@davidpayumo23 I think we rolled pennies to make the first payment, and 3 years later when it was up for renewal the rate had dropped to single digits, like I think 7%. But I had a good job and the house was paid in full a couple years later. I keep reminding myself of how many recessions we have been through now that we are facing another one. Seems we have one nearly every decade. This one may be bad, but it will eventually end and there will be an upswing.
People are still having this dilemma: they get basic degrees from basic universities and then make basic salaries - less than half of what they expected. 🤷🏼♀️ Also, that nose job … her nose looked better before. Now it just huge without the character it had. I’d sue the plastic surgeon or whatever other huckster convinced her to do that to her face.
In the US I believe the total loan amount was either given directly to the student or the institution got the tuition and fee amount and excess went to the student and could be used for anything. Loan amount usually included funds for living expenses.
She called her parents pushovers and her brother a loser. If she can dish it out, she can take it. I give her credit- she did a beautiful job of turning her life around.
@@judithmorganjudyteenI didn’t buy it. The parents ultimately are responsible for teaching their children and they clearly failed & didnt want to own it
I hope she didn't manage the client's accounts as she did her own private ones. On the other hand - getting her nose fixed was okay, I can understand it, but the rest she went in debt for not so much. Also, do you really leave a pile of clothes you tried on but won't buy in a shop's dressing room for the shop assistants to clear away? This is considered terribly rude where I live. You either get the things back to the rack yourself, or you put them back on the hanger and deposit the items on a special rack to be cleared away by staff later. You never leave the clothes in the changing cabin. Very inconsiderate.
Don't feel an ounce of sympathy for the family. The brother yes. He deserves much better than the parents he has. And the Dad saying the "princess" is a "looser". No dad and mom. It's you.

Watching her brother trying not to smile while they all went through her debt was the realist thing ever.
I think she's the best Prince$$, she was willing to take criticism, and took the lessons to heart, without complaining
Her brother is very beautiful and he seems intelligent and kind.
What an absolutely lovely young woman. She grew so much as a person, love this show!!
So glad to see her genuinely apply herself to the process!
20:50 The little happy-jump! I’m so happy for her. I hope she’s well.
She's great. She is self-aware enough to conquer her problem. It was fun to watch how she faced and overcame temptation.
Right? "I wish to NOT spend it on my eyebrows." So firm and confident on her priorities! Her transformation was fantastic.
Amazing progress. Her attitude helped her a lot. Gail noticed that and was really generous with her.
Damn. Her dad straight up called her a loser
My siblings called me a loser too for living at home after college and I bought my first home before they did, same as this family. 🤷♀️

Gail is the budgeting Godfairy, she gave an instruction that will put this young woman on the right path, she seemed happy and proud of her progress.
Wow! I'm absolutely impressed with how much she has grown in 1 month. She was a selfish brat but seems to be on the right path now. Congratulations!

I love it when the princess really takes the lessons and show to heart and actually makes use the opportunity given to them.
All these princesses have one thing in common-they have been enabled by their parents.
From all of these Princess episodes it seems that it’s largely the parent’s fault. The parents create monsters by not setting limits and spoiling them. The princess doesn’t mature due to the enabling.
Definitely. It's a huge disservice to the children if you don't say No sometimes.
Crazy the parents cosigned all that money at once. Then shocked by the numbers. 😐

cosigning for the loan was a huge mistake. she probably had no experience with $ prior to that student loan-so they were fools to cosign it.
Her brother did it right, and I’m so proud of Kaitlyn!
I see in comments all the things she or parents did wrong, but what is important is that they all learned from this. I'm really proud of her!

Yes. She needs new friends
I think the friemds are asked to lay on the bad influence. This happens in another episode, too
