The cold open took place after Jimmy’s lunch with Howard. He was wearing the same outfit during his lunch meeting. Howard offered Jimmy a job, Jimmy bought the bowling balls, and Jimmy thrashed Howard’s car.
Classic time jump cold open.
@@gregdubya1993 Yeah, this team uses that technique all the time. It goes all the back to Breaking Bad. You see a scene that's set later in the episode, you don't know the context, then boom end of the episode you get the context.
To explain Jimmy's actions with the bowling balls, it came from a place of anger, jealousy, and pettiness. This episode is called "Namaste" because it shows the ways in which Howard has been able to move on from the guilt of Chuck's death. He found some peace through his whole transcendental shtick, and he's actively _found closure,_ the one thing Jimmy was never really afforded with Chuck. And he knows that the job offer is a concession from Howard to tie up for loose ends so that Howard can feel better about himself, or at least that's how Jimmy sees it. And he despises Howard for all of it. So he pins his own guilt for Chuck's death, and his lack of closure on Howard and lashes out against him.
Saul really resents Howard for being able to do the things he can't, like move on emotionally. As shown in the past when someone pisses Saul off he gets petty. And, he's not above acts against vechiles. Howard is lucky things didn't end in a Chicago sun roof.
@thewhatness you nailed it

Yeah, Howard sure is lucky…
“GASP!!! Did they stab him?!?..... Oh, he’s alive in Breaking Bad.”
And this the genius of this show. I had the same reaction when I watched.
I don't think the fryer scene was about establishing an alibi. Like Abi said, Gus just lost a lot of money, because of Lalo. Gus lost a round to the Salamancas. He took it out on Lyle. This episode is about how Jimmy, Mike, and Gus deal with their anger and frustration.
yeah and alibis doesnt even work like that. Just because he wasnt there doesnt mean he cant be the mastermind behind the operation
Yep. Gus saying "it's acceptable" is pertaining to that situation, not the cleaning. He needed to feel some sense of control because he didn't have it in that moment.
"We would make great cops" haha!!!
That old Bob Odenkirk show was Mr. Show with Bob and David. He also wrote on SNL, Ben Stiller Show and The Simpsons
His brother is a long time writer and executive producer on the Simpsons
The story of the story of Everest!
Man, Mr Show is so good.
@@MontgomeryWenis Man, I'm old enough to remember when it came on "live" on HBO at midnight. Friends and I would get really stoned and watch a skits like a guy getting change for a dollar. We'd be giggling like Abi and Imon.

@@rondog5 Fuck yeah, dude. That's dope! One of my older sisters discovered it and showed it to me in high school when I'd come over to get secretly baked with her and her husband.
This is the exact moment Lyle becomes Heisenberg
That scene in the beginning was not in order. That was a flash forward to after Howard and Saul's lunch. And Abi's right, Howard's job offer pissed Saul off.
I think the attitude toward Mike is because he fell into a bottle after his son died, and she's afraid he's going back to that place again.
Saul knew he was going to a conversation with Howard. His overboard vandalism of Howards home is i think a grieving process. He hasnt realky grieved and Howard is the last link to Chuck. Howard shouldnt have offered Jimmy the job, it would be akward but Howard was genuinely trying to something good
I loved how SUPER similar the scene was when Hank aimed at the man running away but didn’t shoot, just like when he was aiming at Tuco.
Abi is right on it, Gus keeping Lyle there was an alibi!
how does that work though
@@MikeCoxlong_NOR Lyle can testify that he was with Gus in the restaurant that night
@@Birrrrra But how would that help him
@@MikeCoxlong_NOR He didn't need an Alibi, he was just taking out his frustration on Lyle because He wasn't in control of the dead drop situation. He wouldn't need an alibi because there is no way to connect him to the drugs.
Basically, Gustavos just being a dick because he's mad.
Featuring Lyle from the Devil May Cry series
1. Not all scenes are shown in order.
2. Not everything blows up.
tell that to Gus
#1 especially applies to opening sequences
*male character exists in this show*
Abi and Imon: oh he's handsome tho

So, Hitchcock and Scully, basically?
This episode was good love the video Imon Nation and ABI Nation stay motivated Dream big 1 mill on the way
8:40 when you choose the rude dialogue in fallout
Sometimes the truth hurts.
I think you mean Mr Show With Bob and David (David Cross, Arrested Development). Also, the beginning of Tenacious D.
I just remembered that Jimmy may still resent Howard because he did testify Against him to get him disbarred. So he could still be harboring feelings.
I thought Gus wanted him to stay to satisfy his murderous desires if his guys had failed. 😟 Luckily the situation was "acceptable".
The original Misery was super lit
He didn't get out of the COCKADOODEE CAR!
