+Hannah Evans no I loved it at the time, I was a kid, but always made sure I saw it when it was on. I cried when Scotty was killed at the end because you wanted him to make it.
Azanti I did too, although I prefer my Quint/OFC to Quint/Beth because a) I don't really like Quint/Beth and b) in my fanfic (should it ever get finished) Scotty and Wiley will survive because I like Wiley more than I like Quint.
No I quite like the idea that in ww2 Britain came up with the fastest most advanced non jet powered fighter/multirole aircraft. I recently had the chance to see a mosquito flying at a Airshow and I was very impressed. And boy is it fast, blink and their gone, I could picture myself as a RAF crew member in wet flying with the DH Mosquito when I was growing up as it was my favouright aircraft. and in many ways it's similar to the modern day Boeing 787 or/Airbus A350 as it showed what could be achieved by a all composite airframe.
Good score Valdez, , I found this score very listenable , you have got to hand it to David McCallum, he was making movies back in 1956, and still he looks good in NCIS and has some great movies and TV shows behind him , good upload sir!
Fantastic upload again Mr.Valdez.Mr.McCallum, as Micheal said below, is definitely drinking from the fountain of youth.Guy never ages and manages to stay relevant to this day.Superb video and soundtrack.
My mum loved McCallum when she was a teenager. He was her childhood crush. He is a great actor and if I’d have been around during his younger era, I’d have found him incredibly attractive. Especially in the Man From U.N.C.L.E xx
As we know, the sequel to 633 Squadron (why did it have a Yank as the Squadron Commander (oh yeah, the American market, all same Hellboats), and to my mind in many ways a belter film. Both used the last remaining six flying Mosquitos at the time and shared the same archive and war footage. No issues there. There was a poignancy here that was not shared in 633 Squadron and a better portrayal of the RAF and the relationship between the aircrews. As I have said before, the story lines are based on fact, including the breakout, albeit this is more dramatic. It should be remembered that Mosquitoes got a number of single and dual plane hit and run missions. However, the best line goes to the Air Commodore (forget his name, both movies), with his final line in 633 Squadron after all 12 aircraft and crews are destroyed. "You cant kill a squadron". So, a number of criticisms here (plenty for 633 as well). Fair enough but for a winter's night line them up for a back to back and enjoy some great real flying.
This is such a great theme to a great film based on true history as during WWII the V1s was devastating London causing a great loss of life and Winston Churchal gave the R.A.F high command that the V1 launch sites in France must be destroyed at all cost this mission was given to the R.A.F it was given to the Mosquito Squadrons and most of them it was a Suicide mission but it had to be done if we was to win WWII
Came out after 633 Squadron. Last two movies to use genuine Mosquitoes. The Bf109 were actually the Spanish variant that were used in The Battle of Britain. Spoiler. Much footage here including genuine war footage, comebfrom 633SQN. At least this one had British leads.
I don't know why this film gets ripped into so much. Okay, its not the best war film ever but its not the worst either and its better than most of the recent war films done theses days. The mosquito's although actually only the trainer type standing in for the mk Vl are real and not CGI and its a shame they didn't use the Spanish Bouchon Messerschmitt 109s instead of the ME 108 trainers. those are the only faults I find with this film and 633 squadron. The music score is also good, perhaps not as exciting as 633, but that's a theme tune that's hard to better. In my opinion MOSQUITO SQUADRON is an OK film.
It WAS a Full Movie at RUclips... Well, You Tube Deleted all Good Movies.... All you Can Watch are Blogs And Vlogs.... You Tube is so Boring Now. I Miss The Old You Tube. 😕😟😑😑😮😮
C'est intéressant de retrouver Frank Cordell dans un registre un peu différent que celui de ses œuvres les plus célèbres que sont 'Khartoum' et 'Cromwell'. Cela serait une bonne question pour un quizz ! Merci à Valdez244.
One of the greatest aircraft ever. My father flew them in WWII
Am I the only person who loved Mosquito Squadron despite all its flaws? I am? ... Ok, I'll just go back to my corner now...

I thought it was a good film. Not as good as Battle of Britain or 633 Squadron, but a good film... Way better than the Pearl Harbour film in 2001!!!
Yes and a very good score.

Sequel to 633 Squadron . Thank BG you .
Frank Cordell, what a talent :) They don't write 'em like this anymore :)
Another interesting point is that both the raid here and on 633SQN are based on genuine historical WW2 raids.
Good score Valdez, , I found this score very listenable , you have got to hand it to David McCallum, he was making movies back in 1956, and still he looks good in NCIS and has some great movies and TV shows behind him , good upload sir!
Thanks Mike, Cordell is always worth a listen, his score for ''Cromwell is a masterpiece. :)
Michael Giddens HOLY NUTS,that's right he plays 'Ducky',I didn't see it 'til now!

Thanks Zinco, I reckon that Mr. McCallum has one of those Dorian Grey type portraits stored away in his attic . :)
Better plot than 633 Squadron. Great performances by McCallam, Henson (RIP), Grey, and Landen. BLoody good score. What more could you want??

You're right. This did deserve to be in a better movie. Truly excellent!
Thanks Hal, this was certainly a case of a music score valiantly trying to save a sub standard movie.
This was a really great movie the mosquito was one if not the best fighter/bombers of WW2
Thats a fantastic video, thanks! This movie ages well.
Finally someone put it on RUclips :D Thank you!

As a SQNLDR, MacCallum needed a bloody haircut.
He was a sex symbol at the time, had to keep a young look.

Both this and 633SQN have brilliant sound tracks but Im not sure that Wallis' bouncing bombs could be carried on a Mosquito
Yes, they were. Search youtube and you can find the footage of the tests.
@@crazypetec-130fe7 The Germans also tested a rocket-powered version for use against ships, and could be carried by a FW190.

I personally think mosquito Squadron is better than 633 squadron
That background music is way too loud and extremely annoying.
