- A diabetic friendly recipe, oats Dosa is a tasty option.It is combined with Semolina,gram flour and curd . The batter is made to a watery consistency and then made into healthy dosas.
Ingredients
Oats 1 cup
Semolina/Rava 1/2 cup
Gram flour/Besan 1/4 cup
Sour curd 1/3 cup
Salt

Thank you so much. Dosa is one of my cooking goals. I love the flavor. My challenge has been a problem with it sticking with traditional rava dosa. What brand of tava are you using? Hopefully available on US Amazon store. I have ceramic electric top so cast iron doesn’t work for me. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Always love your recipes and techniques. You can do it! Pls check if Carote brand is available in the US store It is a granite tava and should work well. The trick is in adjusting the temp while making dosas amzn.to/3iif12B

Hi Aunty! I did try this recipe of dosa and chutney today for dinner.the taste was awesome and chutney was great too everyone loved it. However, the dosas were sticking to the pan inspite of the pan being nonstick and using oil.. can you give some tips?
Heat the pan to high and rub some oil over it with a piece of onion. Then reduce the flame to medium and pour the batter

A small suggestion from me. I get besan packet from D-Mart. I sieve and roast this atta on low flame for about 30 minutes. Once this is done one need not worry about ensuring fully cooked state of the in any preparation. For mixing with water I just sieve it in a bowl and add water. It turns into lump free batter in just a few seconds. I use this method for making "tomato omelette".

Amazing recipe mam. Will give a try. I have a doubt..please clarify. I have been hearing that white rava is not good to be consumed by diabetic people. Please let me know. My hubby is diabetic and I am sourcing new recipes for him daily. Today I want to try this for dinner. Please guide me to the links of your other diabetic recipes too.
It is best to include millets in a diabetic diet , occasionally eating rava is fine
