Nice! It is pretty wide, so I have no doubt I would have laid down easier. In fact, if I get it again I'll include it in my new video. Thanks for the idea!
I hope you get to review the 2018 Expedition EL (or is it Max not EL for 2018?) and see if they fixed the noise of the ride as mentioned in your other review. How do you rate the Expedition to the Suburban at this point?
I'd love to drive the 2018. I think I saw one on the lot a few weeks ago, but someone else had it reserved. If I see one again, I'll definitely ask for it. As for comparing the Expedition to the Suburban, I prefer the Suburban. I think it's built better. But...the trim levels might have been different, so there's a chance the Suburban I had was more expensive. Are you thinking of buying or renting one soon?
100 Rental Cars, thanks for the reply. Yes, I am interesting in buying either a suburban or an expedition. A good used older one at first after coming to a decision today. I am finally leaning toward a suburban at this point versus an expedition and a good used one versus a new one. I was including minivans but really want an AWD or 4x4 and ability to tow without worrying about straining the vehicle. I truly appreciate the information you have provided. I really really like how you present. My guess is that you are a corporate presenter or sales closer because you have an awesome style. Thanks again.
Thanks for the kind words. And good luck on your purchase! Let me know what you get. I'd be interested to hear your thoughts after you drive it for a few weeks.
100 Rental Cars I wouldn't say it's clunky, but the Expedition really is noticeably smoother than the Suburban in terms of engine (despite the former being turbocharged) and ride quality (!!)
The EL (extended length) on the Expedition and the Navigator is a little overkill. I mean it's only a tad bit longer. Not much to offset the cost difference
Kevin Eaton The EL (Extra Long) one is better the other is a tad worse the navigator comes with luxury packages the expedition comes with limited & xlt model
100 Rental Cars nope, the XLT is just the same size as the Limited, provided that they are both in the EL body. Perhaps the reason why he says you're lucky you didn't get the XLT is because the XLT is a lower trim than the Limited. It loses the smart keyless entry and push-to start ignition. Not to mention smaller wheels and unpainted side steps. Rental companies have a ton of XLT rentals and you're lucky to have been assigned a Limited trim. I may sound like a Ford salesman, BTW (LOL). But nah, just an Expedition fan :)
+TheNOGarcia Good to know! Sounds like the XLT might be closer to the old Ford Bronco...which was super popular back when I was in high school. Those were big and clunky. Anyway, thanks for the details.
The fact is that the XLT's can be equipped exactly like the limited trims. Most are not, ebcause it loses the point of the lower price. BUt, XLT's have the option of leather, navigation, captain 2nd row, 20" wheels, power step boards, etc. But, that puts it at the same exact MSRP as the Limited, so at that point you might as well get the Limited.
We have an XLT as a rental right now. It's comfortable and I love it!
Limited edition 3.6L Ecoboost =P We loved our 2017, just got a 2021, both are amazing but the 10spd is a game changer!!!! Nice video!
I find your videos the most helpful! Any chance you could review the newer version of this car? Would love to know how it compares!
Is the wind and road noise as bad in the EL as it is in the Regular expedition that you talked about in your other review?
We drive this car for camping trip to the East Canada from ottawa last summer, it is certainly possible to sleep inside for two people.

Amazing videos man... Keep up the good work!!!
+teja 1999 Thanks!
FYI, that second floor box that opens up in the trunk can flip up and latch to become a shelf.

This car might be old, but its still one of the smoothest and most capable full-size SUVs in the market. I'd still take this over the new Suburban.
+TheNOGarcia I don't think I've driven a Suburban yet. Is it clunky?

The Expedition is being redesigned for 2018/2019. It's gorgeous! It's been nicely updated

You are lucky that you didn't get a XLT model.
+Disney Fan Why? Is it bad? Honestly, these things are a little to big for me. I'm guessing the XLT is even worse.

Can you chevk out the 4x4s
For the Expedition? Or just generally? Cause I've reviewed several 4x4s in the last few months.
Needs 33s n a 4” lift otherwise it looks like a low riding mini van
I want to buy it now get back in contact
Go for it!
