X3 system has been working wonders. Some of the best bands available along with the Serious Steel bands.

fyi...Harambe sells foam yoga blocks, that are cut perfectly shaped to hold the bar. You can set up the bar on the block, and really makes dead lift, and bench press much more convenient.

NIce, that is a great upgrade!

You can also use handles for a trap bar style. The step sells a six inch version to increase the tension. I like Clench/Quantum bands for these as they sell thicker bands with heavier resistance. I am not a huge fan of stacking more than two bands at a time.

I think I call this same thing the suitcase squat. I use the ACBEE Jhook handles for it.

Could you please recommend a good bench that easily folds down and does not take up a lot of room?

Regarding your partial reps... I've started doing heavier sets at the start of my workout. So like 5-10 reps heavier, until failure and I can only do partial reps.. do one or two partial reps at the end, then for my next set or two ill drop the weight a bit and go for between 8 and 15 reps (just keep going until failure). This allows me to burn out the lower end of the muscle with the heavier resistance then the later sets that are lighter I can burn out the higher end of the muscle with the lighter weight. I started doing this and it's helped me get through some plateaus.

Interesting. I'll keep that in mind as something to try out.

is there a reason we don't see you training with the vitruvian any more? Considering getting one but you seem to tend more towards to resistance bands and dumbells so just wanted to know if there is a problem with it. Thanks

No problems with it, and it is a great device, but it is really expensive and overkill for most people on the channel. It also isn't required to have to get results, but may make it a lot easier for some people to get in the workouts each week.

To solve the problem with losing a bit of resistance at the start position of deadlift , instead of using the hooks or Carabiners I just wrap the bands around the bar.

    • @GamerBody

It is an option, but could make standardizing the exercise for progressive overload a bit tricky. Also, make sure the bands don't slip off!

@@GamerBody Once bands are even on both sides its always standardised. Its the only way I've done deadlifts with a bar and resistance band for over a year. It gets rid of the slack on bottom of movement. It's impossible for bands to slip off because bands are wrapped around bar.
Wrap around bar method gives more constant tension throughout the movement and feels more like a traditional deadlift at gym with free weights. Search "buff bandit deadlift" and you'll get an idea.

I would defiantly recommend the water filled sandbags and sphere change your life.

I don't really have one - my diet is pretty bad and definitely hurts my results. I do try to get in a minimum of 150grams of protein (target is 180, but normally I get a little less). I just fill in the rest of the calories (aim between 2000-2500 a day) with other foods.
