    Typically if a vehicle is being worked on in a shop then they can hold it if the customer refuses to pay. Taking your tire because they wanted to scam you an extra $100 is definitely stealing. I'd suggest people avoid Sharma's Fleet Service.

    I was driving for owner operator down in Laredo, and I was going to New Jersey every week and back. Well one time my truck got broke down over there and my boss told me to call mechanic companies for the tow and repair, and I got three different quotes for my boss. Well my boss is used to getting the trucks repaired and Laredo which is a lot cheaper then New Jersey is, so he ended up getting on the phone with two of the companies and started arguing and bickering back and forth over the price because it wasn't what he was used to down in Texas, and the company put his company on the do not service list l.. for ever.
    The last company was our only choice other than paying a few hundred bucks more to get somebody from out the city. So my boss does the same shit with that company and they ended up settling a price only because the company felt bad for me because I talk to them after we got banned from the other companies and before my boss called. When the mechanic got there he told me that that was going to be the last time that they service his company. Mind you, he had two trucks at the time with a strictly dedicated New Jersey Route. He fucked himself and now doesn't have any repair companies to go to if one of his trucks get stuck in New Jersey. Attitude is everything, and so is logic.

    • @Suriyasvanidze
      @Suriyasvanidze 6 лет назад +5

      To Thomas The Trucker
      It’s always easy for drivers to judge owners of their companies. Drivers have to realize that trucking business has very small margins, so expensive repairs can eat profits very quickly. Repairs at the border states down south are cheaper because labor is cheaper for various reasons (taxes, migrant workers etc.) I try to do my own repairs but sometimes it is too much for one person on the road.

    • @biker932012
      @biker932012 6 лет назад +5

      What you explained is one thing, refusing service because of attitude is very understandable, what happened here is inexcusable on the mechanics part, agreeing on one price and changing it because your feelings are hurt is complete bull shit. Just do the job and never service that company again, that simple. But stealing a tire that costs several hundred dollars, possibly thousands, and then forcing the driver (whom you have no beef with) to pay out of his own pocket to get the tire back is extortion. If I was him, I wouldn’t be paying shit.

    This might sound strange, but I think that was one of your best videos because it captured a lot in its content. There were so many things happening at once and yet you still were able to put it together in a video. That is not an easy thing to do. God-speed on your new journey.

    I've watched many of your trucking videos. I admire your work ethic and your ability to stay calm and collected while facing the frustrations and aggravations that go along with this job. If the trucking industry would treat people better (trucking companies. shippers, receivers) and increase the compensation for the work and sacrifice drivers face every day there would not be a shortage of high quality drivers, such as yourself.
    Best of luck in your new business and as a coffee aficionado I will buy your brand when I can find it.

    Such a pleasure to watch your videos Vasiliy, I will certainly miss following your travels throughout the United States.
    Your attitude towards everything is very positive and I guess that's why you have a good relationship with your Boss and the dispatchers, that goes a long way these day's especially in the transport industry, I'd employ you in a heartbeat down here in New Zealand my friend.
    All the very best to you and your brother Maksim in your new endeavors with the Coffee Roasting and I will most certainly be following your future vlogs, San Diego is such a beautiful part of your country so I can only imagine what your videos will be like especially with the use of a Drone.

  • @ashtonadams1145

    I know im late with this but with the way class 6, 7 and 8 vehicle air brakes works is that the rear axle brakes are applied first, then after the pedal reaches 50% the front brakes are applied. It's like this because in the event that you are hitting your brakes and you lock the wheels you will still be able to steer the truck because only the rear brakes are locking and not the front. But all truck drivers should know that when descending a hill you should keep your jake brake on, gear down, and use the retarder on the transmission if needed. Now as far as the hub seal you are screwed no matter what. A wheel end fire is the most dangerous fire on a big truck and is not easily put out. Any mechanic that knows what he or she is doing would be able to replace hub seals in a little over an hour or so.

    If the mechanic misquoted the price that's his problem not yours or your bosses. Legally they can't just take the tire and rim like that. It's their fault they got the wrong part and had to go get a different one. This is such bullshit. Honestly you should NOT have let them take a part of your truck like that!

    Years ago on my last day with a company, they were trying to get me back to the main terminal and didn't have any flatbed loads going that way, so they had me drop my flatbed at one of their customers lot and grab a pre-loaded trlr of wood chips that they haul and bring up to the main terminal. Unfortunately, they neglected to tell me that those pre-loaded trlrs were pulled by locals that are permitted for 90,000 so you can imagine my luck on my last day... 3 hrs later I end up with 1800.00 fine for over gross, over axle, over bridge...

Driving fast for Hill and using unadjusted brakes , heat busted seal but anyways this is second time with you and you didn't understand. But I m glad you are out before killing someone or get killed. Good decision. Happy for you. , If ever you drive commercialy again i wish no please avoid but still advise leave phone and camera other gadgets way away from you. other thinks you are professional driver, and prove them right.

    Vasily, sir, you are a loss to the trucking industry. You have truly been a shining example to young guys coming in to this crazy life. It is so full of negativity and anger, but, despite the things you went through, you remained positive, and we need more of that to encourage people to fill the gaps. You will be missed. That said, you have to do what your heart calls for and I wish you all the very best. You are young and now is the time to take chances. Whether you succeed or not doesn’t matter; when you’re old, that you took the chance is all that will matter. However, given your energy and smarts I have no doubt you will achieve all you wish.
    I will continue to follow you because your vlogs are engaging and you have an excellent eye for footage. You really do have a talent.
    I am a total coffee addict and am fascinated to see how this works for you, and when I roll my rig your way, i expect you to remember my name and I expect at least one free cup, or maybe bag of coffee.
    Good luck to you and your brother. I look forward to seeing you make your mark. Be safe out there, my friend, behind the wheel or not..

    I hope to go back to trucking soon. I got some obstacles to get thru, like improving my health for one thing. I want to make a career out of this and yes, when the time comes to retire, I would love to enjoy my last days on the road.

    Finding 80W90 oil all over the inside of a steer wheel is never a pleasant experience.
    But here's a joke to take your mind off it.
    Perry the Penguin felt something weird with his tractor so he pulled it into the nearest shop. He was greeted by the owner, Wally the Walrus. After Wally took the tractor off to his shop, Perry decided to go find something to do and hit up the Truck stop next door. A few hours later Perry returns to find his tractor sitting outside and Wally was waiting for him.
    As Perry approached Wally says, "Looks like you blew a seal."
    Perry looked down at his shirt and says, "Naw, that's just vanilla ice creme."
    buh-dum-tiss!!

    I could have saved you the hassle and told you never to have gotten into the truck in the first place. Your entire generation missed making a living in the industry by 25 years. It isn't your fault. It all goes back to the day the 72 inch condo became the newest way to house the homeless and unemployable. And am not saying that to be mean. I still remember the day like it was yesterday coming out of the Sap Bros in Omaha across from Werner. And for the first time heard and saw idiots using a truck to live in. INSTEAD OF A TOOL TO MAKE A LIVING. From that time on it all snowballed and went to shit. I strongly would encourage "young" people like yourself. If your looking for a job with travel pay and some class. Polish yourself up and go work for a airline as a steward or stewardess. And leave trucking and those that control it today. To learn Spanish, Arabic, and Swahili so they can communicate with their next bunk rat slaves. Stay safe.

    Vasily,
    I got p.o.'d listening to how these jerks from Sharma's Fleet Service in Sac. treated you. I urge all your subscribers to leave a review on Yelp, as I am doing!
    I wish you would have gone live with the news as I was about an hour away from Truckee and would have loved to lend a hand to someone I consider a friend.
    All the Best! in your new venture!
