  • Ronnie Moore of Bassmaster LIVE used some Bassmaster archive underwater visuals to explain to viewers what a Tennessee River "ledge" is and why fish gather there.
There are variables of recipes that make a good ledge. Some are current, bait, hard bottom, size and more.

I love the underwater breakdowns. You guys did one at the mississippi river, explaining how Tommy Biffle was fishing his bug and it was the coolest thing I had ever seen.

Bout sums it up Ronnie! I've lived on and fished Ky. Lake/Tn.River for 40 years I would like to add the Shell Beds are more less food chain affect. I'm sure 99.9% of B.A.S.S. fans are aware of what that is and or means so no need to go into detail. However as mentioned been on river just over 40 years now and I've only recently learned that some guys/girls here fish the Shell Spawn just as one would the Shad Spawn . Females open shell (no illustration) sure all will get the idea. Male then will do his part in turn attracts bait which in turn. Well those that are viewing this Great channel will need no further explaining I'm confident of that lol. Keep up all the great work and head north young man and safe travels to all. Also could you make a Tour Stop in Japan on one of their lakes happen?? Like NFL playing in other countries ya know. Man that would be win win all around would be great for B.A.S.S. I know couple on Tour that would love it lol . It's gotta happen Mr. Ray Scott would be tickled and approve.
