Beautiful sentimental songs- nostalgia to this 85-year-old GOAN Indian American from Alpharetta Georgia USA who remembers my 50 years in India (Nagpur/Bombay/Poona/Chakradarpur/Calcutta) especially MY GOA , the beautiful beaches, people & music especially Calangute, now 35 years in the States has not dimmed my nostalgia for Goa & my ancestral village PORVORIM that I have not seen in many years. Wonder what it looks like now?. Goa was "liberated from Portuguese rule (1510-1961) by the Indian Army in 1960 or was it 1961? & then "occupied" by Indian's from other States- in the last 500 years Goans went all over the world (since small Goa & its economy could not satisfy their desire for a high standard of living) & sent their money back to GOA to build/maintain their homes in Goa (& Bombay/Poona India). Today Goa is one of the smallest but richest States in Independent India
You guys are too good... refreshed my younger days living in Bandra with East Indian community / Konkani speaking friendly people and some Portuguese speaking Catholics...had great fun.. missing those days...be happy..and keep promoting your language..culture..food..and way of life ..we truly represent Unity in Diversity...
